We had a perfect meal from start to finish. The market centric aesthetic is working. I had carrots with a light chèvre that were delicious. The chanterelles with an airy cream sauce, amazing. The octopus was grilled to a really good snappy texture, nicely done. The desserts both superstars. Their take on cheesecake was heavenly. Excellent service and a fun pleasant atmosphere. Good vibes.

A hidden gem we never heard about but walked by and was attracted by the interesting looking interior. We walked in and were able to get a table for dinner without reservation, but it gets pretty full so reservations are recommended. We loved Glou so much that we went back twice in a row so we could try everything on the menu. It changes seasonally and some dishes change daily. Huge wine selection. Absolutely loved the experience. Customer service was quick and polite. It was really easy-going, the food was intelligent and delicious, bread did not stop coming, we went through bottles of wine. Very unpretentious place and the food speaks for itself. Very delightful. One of my new all-time favorite places in Paris.

This was so amazing. I absolutely loved the ambiance. The food was absolutely to die for. I would recommend anyone to go here.

    Guinea fowl + fries

We stumbled upon this place during lunch time after shopping. The outside looked very nice so we decided to go in. The outside was painted mint green, which is easy to notice when you're looking for it. We were seated at a comfortable wooden table and our waiter was very attentive and quick. The inside of the restaurant looks small but there was enough space. It wasn't too busy. We ordered Guinea Fowl with fries and Monkfish tail (fish of the day), while for drinks we had wine and tea + sparkling water. The Guinea fowl was great, they brought a big piece which I unfortunately could not finish. The fries that came with the nicely cooked fowl was also tasty and had a side of ketchup. The monkfish tail tasted good, was soft and meaty. Did not smell or taste like fish even though was fish, which for me is a huge +. The monkfish was served on a plate of carrot purée which complimented the fish nicely. After food we went for dessert, the 3 scoops of ice cream. I chose vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Vanilla and strawberry were taste while the chocolate ice cream was a little strong for my taste. However, I'm sure if you prefer a more bitter chocolate taste - it's perfect. Overall the experience was great and I would recommend it to all visitors.

One of the best meals i've had so far in paris, pricey (my meal was $24 not including my wine) , but with the view, i would say the price was worth it. I sat upstairs by the window and overlooked the Picasso Museum. Usually you would need a reservation to snag this spot. I was lucky to grab it. I ordered the Roasted lamb, eggplant caviar, and baby artichoke entree and it was amazing. The lamb was well cooked and the sides complimented the meal well. The cabernet sauvignon was a bit dry for my liking.

It's an intimate restaurant and I would advise making a reservation before coming. The menu is tiny but it's obvious all the food is newly made and fresh. All of the food tasted very "clean." The restaurant seems a little disorganized, but the staff were friendly. The fish of the day was very yummy.

When every other restaurant in Paris is closed because the proprietors have left town for their summer holidays, Glou will be around to serve you. Get a table upstairs next to the window and look out upon the garden below. And if you're in a meat mood, get the burger. Both of my companions went this route and lucky me got to nibble off their plates. Gazpacho is always hard to resist so I ordered a bowl and a plate of charcuterie. In an uncharacteristically accommodating manner, our server was happy to pack up my leftover meat to go. Given this Marais restaurant's popularity, booking a table in advance is recommended.

Delicious! Gnocchi soup dish was outstanding. Healthy and hearty. Lentil balls also delicious. Excellent selection of wine. Fun and relaxed atmosphere!

Had a wonderful lunch at Glou. Great atmosphere and awesome service... Started off with razor clams in a parsley garlic Sauce. I chose the grilled octopus with anchovy and lemon sauce - Delicious! My girls had osso buco with roasted carrots and the special of grilled sausage, potatoes and green cabbage. Finished off with the recommended dessert - Cheesecake de Glou with Cherry Coulis...

Fresh, honest food served by energetic and knowledgeable staff. What's not to like? Smoked fish board as a starter is a winner. Great well priced wine list. Right behind the Picasso Museum with lovely park view.

My friends and I had a late dinner there. Service was very friendly, wine was decent. However, our main courses were a bit cold so we asked our cute waitress to send them back.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food came quickly. I ordered the cauliflower, which was probably the only vegetarian dish on the menu. It was really good, and a new way to eat cauliflower.

Really great food, kind service that tolerated our lack of French. Suggested a better and less expensive wine that turned out to be great.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

We started with the ratatouille and freshly baked bread, both simple but incredibly well executed and full of depth. The duck steak with roasted potatoes was perfectly cooked--the duck tender with a beautifully crisp exterior, and the potatoes were exceptional in their own right. The gambas flambées with rice were a standout dish: rich, aromatic, and genuinely memorable. For dessert, the chocolate mousse paired with strawberry soup was a highlight and a unique combination that worked surprisingly well together--the richness of the mousse balanced beautifully by the freshness of the strawberries. No real plans. Just walking. Cigarette smoke in the air, scooters passing narrow streets, old stone buildings glowing under soft afternoon light. Online, this place feels impossible to book. But show up 10-15 minutes before opening and suddenly you're seated like you knew the secret all along. Inside, the room hums. Tight tables. Warm walls. Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

When I arrived, there was a rustic table in the entry room where I was seated. I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room. Luckily I was not closer to the door and didn't have anyone over me. For ~170 Euros, the food was good but the experience was not.
