I have been so pleased with their level of service, the quality of the job their cleaners do, and the level of communication from the team. I've used this service 3 times in the past and have just signed up for bi-weekly service. The first time was for an apartment move out a few years ago. The job was done so well that we got our deposit back without any questions. They probably didn't have to do anything to get the unit ready for a new tenant after the cleaning was done. The next two times were all for our annual labor day party preparation and were amazing. This most recent cleaning was done so well the house looked almost new. The fresh minty smell was amazing. The party went off without a hitch because I was not stressed about crash cleaning the house. Finally, I work from home and was not disturbed in any way by noise etc. Millie was great at communicating anything she needed and took direction from me very well when it came to working in my office. First of all, WOW!!! I elected for the deep clean, as my apartment hadn't been professionally cleaned in a year. Not a dust particle or pet hair in sight! We bought our home a year ago and our Realtor recommended Gmaids for that initial deep clean. We liked the job that was done so hired the team back for monthly cleanings. I'm a bit of an enviro-nut, so I love that all the products are "green". The house always smells clean, but never chemically. For this review I will start from the beginning as to not miss anything. Our appointment as noted on our booking confirmation email was for the "maids" to arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 am. They arrived at 10:30 stating they were caught in traffic. After do an initial walk through the house with the "maids" to go over what was needed to be focused on and taken care of they started. They quoted to finish in 3 hours. To start my house is the average kept up house. I clean regularly and just needed a little help to prepare for a new born baby. I was home during the time the maids were there and informed them in advance that I am very picky and notice everything. Note that no cleaning products were brought in for the appt. They used a mop, vacuum, 1 rag and a bucket of water. I know the company using green cleaning methods but some sort of cleaner should have been used. They started in the master bathroom, they used a bucket of water and 1 rag that was shared between the 2 girls. I had to ask them to redo the toilet which still was not competed. They moved to the bedroom and missed all of the corners of the flooring, a large dresser was completely missed and not dusted, the fan was lightly dusted and not deep cleaned like the description said it would be. The mirrors that they wiped now look worse than before because they just used the same dirty rag to clean the mirrors as they dusted the fan with. Our bamboo floors look like the dust was pushed around and dirty mopped. This review is already getting long so I will continue with what is important. Here is what was missed... Mirrors are worse and streaky, fans were wet dusted with a dirty rag, floors were dirty mopped. Windows that were done because not all were finished had to be re-cleaned after the "maids" left just so we could see out of them. The stainless steal fridge now looks like it has fresh tiger stripes. An entire rooms nic naks were not dusted. After 5 hours of cleaning I had to ask the maids to stop because things were not looking better and the small 1480 sq ft house was not yet finished. After asking them to redo multiple things I felt there was not much more I could at the end to make the situation better. If i had them stay to redo more I would have to pay more and if I did not like the work performed the first 2 times why would the 3rd time be better. In the end I signed the invoice because there was nothing more they could do to make the situation better. Not sure if this was a normal experience I asked my daughter to come over and look over the house not telling her my opinion and she was extremely disappointed in the service. We immediately emailed the company to verbalize our complaints. After not hearing back over the weekend we called on Monday. After going back and forth with Juan (one of the owners) we learned that he was not concerned with fixing the problem. Juan refused to answer our questions about why the "maids" did not use any cleaning solutions or why they were sharing 1 rag. He said we should have read the terms of service better. I will paste the terms that we were told to follow. "Any complaints or notices regarding the service performed by Gmaids.com have to be reported to the company within 24 to 48 hours from the date the service has been completed, this, for any redo's to be valid and considered. These reports should be sent to hello@gmaids.com with the customer's name, address, contact information, date of service performed, and detailed description of each complaint or notice. Please note that any property or home that has not been properly maintained for an extended length of time will be subdued to revision of the Company's management team before any redo is scheduled." We followed all parts of the terms of service. My down fall was signing the invoice so the ladies would leave. I am unsure what portion of the terms of service contain the part where the ladies do not use any cleaning supplies to clean the house. He did give me a $50 dollar refund but that does not satisfy the now dirtier house that I have to either clean myself or pay a different company redo. Not only am I extremely disappointed with the cleaning service I am even more disappointment with the customer service given by Juan to not even try to correct the situation. I would love an answer to the elusive cleaning supplies questions! read more

I've used Gmaids off and on for approximately a year. I'm just not a "get my house cleaned weekly" kind of person. I am considering getting it cleaned on a monthly basis though. I love that Gmaids is green. Do not have respiratory issues. However, the smell of several cleaning products gets in my throat and I can't handle it. Gmaids leaves my house smelling so fresh. Service is great and done in a timely manner. I couldn't recommend them more! read more

Update 7/20/17: Juan, the owner, reached out in regards to our previous negative review. To make up for it, he sent one of his employees to our home to do a general cleaning for 3 hours at no charge. In addition, unbeknownst to us, the manager also stopped by to do a brief checkup to make sure we were satisfied. It's easy for most business to move on once they have collected their payments, but what sets Gmaids apart is their efforts to make things right and to make their customers happy. Before this, we weren't sure if we would ever use Gmaids again or refer Gmaids to any of our friends. However, after what they did to make up for it, we are pleased to say we will most definitely use Gmaids again for future cleaning services and will recommend Gmaids to our friends as well. read more

This is the first time I've used a maid service. I have a dog and also find myself dog sitting for my neighbors. My carpets are practically made of dog hair! Anyway, I got tired of doing it on my own, and decided to give gmaids a try. They are super fast, on time, and very courteous. I receive personal messages from Juan checking in to make sure I've received quality service. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a cleaning service. Since Gmaids finds it necessary to save face, I will respond and reiterate. Keep in mind EVERYONE... The people at this company forwarded documents "confirming" the account was updated and that I would not be charged. They charged me anyway and it then took over a week to refund the money that was illegally taken from my account, according to Chase bank, once I no longer agreed to give them rights to withdrawal, especially after the documents received "confirmed cancellation." However Juan or anyone there tries to cut it or sheepishly describe it as a "technical error," it is shady and the bank considers it theft, period. Nice try GMAIDS, you still get 1 star and I hope this review sheds light on how explicitly unprofessional you are and that you forge documents and attempt to steal money via bogus charges. Potential customers should definitely be warned and know there are far better companies to go with. The fact the bank had to reverse the charges for the theft and the fact that Gmaids then called me numerous times to harass me and is now attempting to cover it up again here is ridiculous and poor form. My next update will be my complaint to the BBB. read more

We hired Gmaids to do a post-remodel cleaning of our home. Our contractors kept getting delayed and Gmaids was very understanding with rescheduling our appointment. The construction created a huge amount of dust and there was overspray from the paint on the wood floors & furniture. She did a phenomenal job cleaning all the dust from the crevices and even getting most of the overspray off (with took a lot of effort since no paint removers could be used on the floors). She texted me when she was finished to see if I wanted to come home and look at it before she left to make sure that I was satisfied. Gmaids even followed up with a phone call that evening to ask if I was satisfied and allowed me to leave a tip. I would highly recommend them to others and we will definitely use them again. read more

Update It was my desire to return to a monthly cleaning with this company & to communicate my concerns directly to management so that actions can be different moving forward. My aim was to let them know of the risks associated with staff not reassembling things correctly. Instead, the manager never contacted me. Plus, the owner, who could've contacted me directly has chosen to make his first reply regarding this situation on Yelp. @ Juan -1) I have no miss call, voicemail or email from manager 2) I have a new stovetop & have used it & cleaned it for a year & had no issue. This is a direct result of it not being assembled properly. 3) we picked up most of, if not all of what we could see on the floor. My point was to let you know what I found and for staff to be more aware to avoid damaging my vacuum. 4) an aerosol spray was used in oven not sure if that's the baking soda you're referring to. Bottom line: I eventually talked to Juan and told him that his response demonstrates a lack of integrity & being more concerned with reputation than helping me. He basically told me that it's going to be hard to find another business who doesn't lie and make mistakes. My initial concerns were not strong enough mistakes that would cause me to leave. However, the way it was handled (or not) and the lies that followed still make it difficult to return to this business. I recommend client to take pictures of before and after b/c you never know when something minor can become major and don't expect them (and perhaps other companies) to own up. Juan told me of their typical protocol in these situations, which would've been acceptable. Why that wasn't followed is beyond me. I was more than considerate with time lapse during holiday. 12/17 is when I emailed manager of concerns. 1/2 is when I heard back from owner, first through Yelp. read more

Being a full time student and having a part time job really gave me NO time to clean my apartment, so I went online and looked at reviews for this place AND let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed one bit! I bought a 3 hour cleaning at an auction and was so happy with my service. I'll be using them again for sure. Not only did they text with me directly to try to work me into a busy booked week- the maid arrived exactly at 2:30 on the dot for me to take show to my apartment. She was very friendly, spoke great English, and was dressed professionally in uniform. I left my apartment during the clean and returned to a spotless masterpiece. This is a little different because I never used their cleaning service (more on that later) but I will deifinitely call them whenever I do need this type of service. I scheduled a deep clean to be right before my daughter's wedding. Only problem is, I scheduled it for the wrong date - twice! And then after having our home torn up for new floors, my husband surprised me by having the house cleaned and so I then had to cancel the appointment. I have really been enjoying my experience with Gmaids. They do an excellent job and are very professional. They check in by email and by phone to be sure that everything is to my specifications and it always has been. I really appreciate the fact that they do not use harsh chemicals in their cleaning and when I arrive at the house after they have been there everything is sparkling and smells clean but does not knock me over with chemical smells and does not bother my allergies.
