I found Bulky Buddy on Yelp and decided to give it a try because it's so close to me and the store photos looked nice. The results was.. yes, I was very pleased. I was able to purchase my favorite supplements for about 25% cheaper than on-line. They offered a lot of free samples as well. The place is super neat and clean almost like a fancy private gym. They have this futuristic and the coolest all-in-one workout machine at the location that does everything for you, and have let me use the machine for a quick work out session. My friend and I had so much fun there and we did not expect that at all! To be honest, my neighborhood is not the hippest area in LA, but once you walk into this store, it's like.. wow! It's not just getting a pack of protein powder. It's a new experience. Joe, the owner, was super nice and cool. He seemed like he really enjoys and cares about staying healthy and safe himself and for the customers when working out. Parking is super easy. They have their own lot. My significant other and I have a fondness for the Raspberry Cream Ghost flavor. As it is a limited time flavor, it is quite hard to find literally anywhere. Searching online yielded few results, but a promising offer from Get Yok'd showed that they had a 12 pack of the flavor in stock on their website, and at a competitive value, no less. Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase the pack and have it delivered to my home. Please note that it is key that on their website and throughout checkout, I was actively purchasing the RASPBERRY CREAM flavored ghost. As soon as the order was placed, I checked my email for a confirmation and at a quick glance you can clearly see the image of the raspberry cream flavor that I ordered, however it is also very easy to overlook the "original" next to the image, which to my dismay I did. Upon arrival, I was both surprised and frustrated to see that the flavor we were so excited for was simply the original flavor. I immediately sent an email to the support team and waited patiently over the weekend and a couple more business days for a response. There has been no response since posting this review. Whether this is intentional on the part of Get Yok'd or simply just a misunderstanding, the evidence provided and my experience as an online customer, paired with the fact that any returns have you paying for shipping AND a 25% restocking fee has me feeling that the former is more likely. I've had bad experiences in stores before, but at the very least every store has done what a store was supposed to do in the end: give me the product I paid for. This is the only time I have ever made an account with specific intention to write a review. If you are reading this and considering buying something from Get Yolk'd online as a first time buyer, please find a different store and don't let what happened to me happen to you.

Now the good stuff: The store was fully stocked with so many health related products and well organized As soon I stepped inside, I was greeted with a, "welcome" though the gentleman behind the counter was assisting another customer. After a minute or two of looking around, this store employee who I would discover later, is the owner (I am TRULY sorry that I forgot your name. I believe it was Danny or Andrew?) asked me if I had any questions about any of the products which I did and glad he asked me I explained that I was on my own weight loss journey and simply need a good protein intake while on my quest to drop the lbs for good. After answering a few questions I was asked, I was directed to a huge canister/tub of chocolate or vanilla flavored protein. I was explained the benefits of porting and specifically the protein I was about to purchase which I truly appreciated. I love chocolate and I also prefer a round container as opposed to what they offer at Costco. The transaction went very smooth, I leaned a few things about protein and there was no attempt to try to upsell me to purchase other products. This store is 30-35 minutes from my home but it is definitely the only place I will purchase all my future nutritional products bcos of this one, initial positive experience. Thank you!!

While I was checking out, I noticed another fridge to the right of the register that had the drink I actually wanted. I told the employee, a lady with red hair, that I wanted to swap it out and that I would put the other drink back on my way out. I don't think she heard me or was really paying attention because she was watching TV on her phone while ringing me up. After I paid, she told me to put the drink back, even though I had already said I would. At that point, I was getting annoyed by the lack of customer service. On my way out, I opened the fridge and put the drink back. As I started walking outside, I heard her yell that I had left the fridge open. I went back inside and pushed the door shut. I guess it closed a little hard because she immediately told me I didn't need to be so rude and then told me to never come back. Keep in mind she was yelling at me at this point. The whole situation was unnecessary and could have been avoided if she had simply swapped the drink for me like most stores would. Instead, she was more focused on watching TV than helping customers. Don't tell me to do your job when I had already offered to put the drink back in the first place.
