7/21/17, someone called me around 1:15pm and said they are on their way after ignoring all the phone calls and blowing me off on original scheduled time. They claimed they will take care of me on top of what I was promised earlier that they'll do deep cleaning for cost of regular cleaning. When the guy shows up, he wants full cost of deep cleaning and I told him that's not what I told, he makes phone call and agrees to do for cost of regular cleaning. I asked what about the comment "we'll take care of you"? and said that discount is what they are doing to take care of me. at this point, i'm fed up w/ this non-sense and decide to go along. Most of the stains are still left on carpet and they claim that's best they can do. I guess you get what you paid for. I re-hired another company which costs me double but got the job done right. Do your research and find more reputable/trustworthy company that can handle/do the job correctly. read more

Got out some stains we thought would be with us forever (including paint) and did an amazing job on upholstery on a small armchair belonging to kids. New lease of life! In July 2017, I contacted Go Boston Carpet and scheduled an appointment to have an estimate. A gentleman named Dimitri arrived and took measurements and showed me some carpet samples. On July 29 I received an invoice by email for the price of carpet plus installation. I was told by Go Boston Carpet that they require 70% down for the price of the carpet. I sent a check for the down payment and they received it on August 4, 2017, and cashed it on August 7, 2017. For the remainder of August 2017 and throughout September 2017 I corresponded with Alex via text messages to set up an appointment for the installation. Alex claimed he had some medical issue and had to postpone. It is now October 14, 2017 and I have not received any messages from Alex since October 7, 2017. I have initiated the appropriate measures to mitigate this issue. Based on these facts, I cannot recommend Go Boston Carpet. read more

I fixed an appointment with Alex, after reading great reviews. Two times in a row, the person who was supposed to come did not turn up at the time which was decided on and I kept waiting. In all fairness, Alex did apologize later on calling but I had taken time off from work and it is not what I expect of a professional cleaner. Finally, when the cleaning person came in on the 3rd appointment, there was a disconnect on the pricing that I had fixed with the owner. So it took me a while to explain and get that sorted out. He started convincing me for deep cleaning which costed twice as much but he would offer additional discount "especially for me" When he started cleaning the carpets he said he wont be moving the furniture around. That was in conflict with what I spoke to Alex while scheduling. When it came to our couch, I decided to go for the deep cleaning option that he offered. as he said that he woud be deodorizing our couch and and conditioning it as well. When the couch was finally deep cleaned, I found no difference in the effort, time or the product he used, so I started digging more about what excatly he did differently. On asking what extra product he used, he showed me a bottle of Odoban 3 in 1carper cleaner, which costed $10 from HomeDepot. And he charged me over $100 extra for deep cleaning with a bottle of just $10 !!! - homedepot.com/p/OdoBan-1... Now when it came to payment, he asked me if I needed a receipt. Of course I did. What sort of a question is that for a professional cleaner to ask?! Took him 20 minutes to get the receipt after coordinating with Alex over phone. When he left, he left without cleaning the house full of rags and messy floors with footprints over cleaning liquid. I spent over 1 hour to clean the house after he left. So much for cleaning ! Last but not the least, I was told that carpet or couch will dry in 40 mins to 1 hour before, I scheduled the appointment. They were soaked after the cleaning that it took them 24 hours to dry completely! Imagine the fabric of the couch being soaked in cleaner, it had made our couch fabric lose a little bit of stretch !! And we were walking around over wet carpet because we had no option, what is the point of cleaning ! I realize that everyone else who has posted reviews has had great experience, I wanted to have similar experience too but I am completey disgusted by the whole experience ! STAY AWAY! Earlier in the week, I had booked Go Boston Carpet to clean my apartment on Saturday. I spoke with Alex, the dispatcher, who said that someone would arrive between 11am-12pm. No one ever arrived. My landlord and I had also separately called earlier in the day to ask for confirmation of the appointment, and our calls went straight to voicemail. Go Boston Carpet was incredibly disrespectful of our time, particularly as we were in the middle of moving into our apartment. This delay kept us from fully unpacking as we waited around. I wanted to refresh my furniture so I got an upholstery cleaning service from Go Boston Carpet. The cleaner came right on time at my house and I invited him in. He took in the living room, he got his tools and started with the job. My dog was getting too friendly, though, and kept jumping on the sofa and armchairs as he was cleaning them. He was in good humor about it, but he did ask me to take him to another room while he was working. I didn't take offence, it was understandable. Then, when left alone, he completed the job in no time, leaving my furniture looking like brand new. I'm very impressed with the service and very pleased with the guy cleaner. HE even played a bit with the dog before departing. What a friendly service! read more

We had a great experience with Go boston carpet. We had 3 rugs in desperate need of a clean. Junior was easy to deal with, turned up on time and realised we had a small child so proactively used eco products on our rug for safety. Our rugs look brand new! I'm pretty sure this is a joke and that most of the "great reviews" aren't real. If it's not. it should be. The reviews are also suspect. There's quite a bit of cross pollination with moving companies and an airport shuttle service. The credit card processor will show as "Logan Taxi" which seems to underscore my skepticism. An unmarked car showed up. A guy hops out with what I believe was the equivalent of a rented machine. They type they used could be rented for $30 for half a day. They send a guy out and he tells you how sophisticated they are and shows you 3 cups of "Expensive cleaning fluid" "the best" and proceeds to "clean". I was surprised that the entire job took about an hour and they charged well over $400 because, well, expensive cleaning liquid. Had I been home during the episode, I would have declined the service. It was over-priced, over-sold and underwhelming. To add insult to injury, they left piles of water on the wood floors. Ok, the good bits: The were on time. read more

They only have one van to work as they claim which broke down on their first attempt to come clean my couch. I have looked at the reviews and they have more than one person who works so I found that hard to believe. I was originally quoted at $140 for a steam cleaning of my couch as a friend got something on it. The guy who came to clean showed up and said it would be $250. He then claimed he was speaking on his phone with his boss who I had the phone # for the company and the boss' cell # which he didnt pick up either one immediately after the guy cleaning spoke to him. I negotiated it down to $200 as I needed it done ASAP. I had to submit the receipt to insurance on my couch but the receipt said Logan Taxi. Super sketchy. Then he started cleaning and asked for my own towels to mop up the water being made on the floor. Has he ever done this before? Why didn't he have his own towels to get dirty. I had to get a new receipt to submit to insurance and the boss told me he would give me the refund for $60 which would take up to 7 business days. 10 business days later I had nothing. I called my credit card come for the dispute. They refunded the money as I am waiting for the final confirmation on the dispute. Poor communication with this company. He would constantly tell me he would call back in 5 min and 4 hours later I would call him. He would never have an answer to my problem at that point about the refund or rescheduling after the van "broke down". They get 2 stars because they did in fact clean my couch. read more

We were recommended Go Boston Carpet by our new neighbor and are really pleased we followed his advice. They came round to provide a quote quickly and brought with him many samples to look through. He was very patient and didn't rush me, it took me ages to decide and I kept holding up the samples to our kitchen work top!! We had laminate flooring through the hall and living room, carpet to our upstairs bedroom and vinyl in our kitchen and utility. Work was carried out promptly and he was on time, really friendly and the quality of the flooring is excellent along with being really good value. We've had many positive comments on the new flooring and will be happy to recommend Go Boston Carpet to our friends and family. read more

If I could give them a -5 I would! I booked and they never showed up, I called and I was told they didn't know if I wanted to be booked. I booked again and they never showed up again, again I call because they were supposed to be there between 8a-10a a lady told me she had me scheduled for the next day, I explained that's was false and then when I spoke to the "boss" he called me and he stated someone did come but no one was there! It's "recorded", meanwhile I had another company there doing some other work that could confirm they never came! The "boss" said I would be considered VIP if I rescheduled I'd be scheduled immediately, I told him I'd have to call him back because I can't take out of work again I'd have to have someone be there for me, once I found someone I called between 8-9am and asked to get the service done the next morning I was told no so I asked her to have the boss call me since I was "VIP" he never called I called after hours left a message and he called me back. He said that he can not accommodate next day service albeit I'm "VIP" after the back and forth and not getting anywhere I said I'm all set I'll do a review and call another company he said he'll take me to court if I do a review!!! Well he'd be wasting his time and money because I don't have time for deformation of character! This is the truth and people need to know how this company conducted business with me! read more

I booked those guys few days ago. Had no problems to set up date. The cleaning man came on time. He used pretty cool equipment. I had a carpet where my friends kids played, ate and played with food. That was bad picture(((. By the time he finished cleaning my carpet it was in pretty good shape, even though it's not new. For the price he done his job I would recommend this company. read more

On the day of my original appointment, Alex calls to tell me that their trucks broke down and his people couldn't make their appointed time. No problem, I said. He was apologetic and offered me a discount. We rebooked and on the day of the new appointment no one called or showed up. I planned my day around this and could have used my morning and afternoon more effectively. Good luck reaching them by phone. They never pick up and it always goes right to voice mail. Not sure how this company ever manages to do business. Alex: It took you 7 months to post a reply? No, sir, I am a real customer. Everything in my review is spot on. If you want to take this up with Yelp, feel free. They know where to find me and I can prove I am not a competitor. I can pull the phone records of our interactions. Look, our initial interaction was great and you seemed genuine. However, you wouldn't answer any of my calls on the rescheduled day after no one showed up. If you had just been wasting my time, I would never have posted a review; but you wasted my time with my family. I don't have many reviews or much of a profile on Yelp. I can see how you might take that as someone who is a competitor, but I'm responding to assure you I'm not. I wrote my review because I wanted to warn other consumers about my experience. Now other readers can take my response and yours together to see what kind of interaction they should expect. TERRIBLE. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. For starters, they cancelled on me TWICE. The dispatched Alex tried blaming it on me, saying I cancelled last minute. Eventually they admitted to canceling on me, and their excuses were that they didn't have a van available and the next day they didn't have the right people on call who knew how to operate the carpet cleaning equipment (you are a carpet cleaning business, how do you not have staff available that knows how to clean carpets!!). When they finally arrived they didn't have the right equipment to clean my hardwood floors, even though I confirmed with them twice that they would have everything they need. They left a giant blue stain from chemicals in my room, which I can't seem to get rid of. All of this and they had the nerve to try and charge me MORE than the pricing proposal they emailed me as confirmation of my appointment. The guy who came to my place and tried charging me more was arguing that their website as wrong and giving out incorrect pricing proposals. This is a very very bad lie considering how quick and easy it was for them to lower their pricing demands after I showed them my email proposal. The carpet they did clean looks alright but not great. Again, terrible company run by scam artists. Pay a few extra bucks for a legitimate company. read more
