    Traditional Gyro
    Aquiala M.

I needed to find something quick but tasty for lunch on a busy Monday afternoon and came across this restaurant on my local Yelp search. I was in the mood for a good gyro, so I placed an order on their Yelp page for pick-up. The process was quick and easy, and I received an order confirmation after my order was placed. I did opt for pick-up, so I had to go inside the restaurant to retrieve my order. I did not catch the staff member's name, but she was lovely and promptly gave me my order. I then took my gyro back to work to eat, and all the ingredients were super fresh, and the gyro meat had great flavor. I wish a bit of gyro sauce were put on the wrap. Other than that, I recommend something quick and tasty.

Traditional gyro is very yummy. I added feta to mine.

Just a little establishment serving up big flavors! Great value for the price, and the quality is quite good! I went with the traditional gyro- which is loaded up with meat ( it tasted like a beef/lamb blend ), lettuce, onion, tomato and their special garlicky gyro sauce. I requested feta and some extra sauce on the side too. Glad I did that, because the seasoned fries are so good dipped in the creamy gyro sauce! I couldn't finish all of it and spent under $10- even with my add ons. This is right up there with some of the best gyros I've had here in Cbus!

Couldn't decide, so I went with a #1 Go Go Traditional Gyro and added the feta (I don't like banana peppers). I got this as a combo meal because I was dying to try the fries. And I got their Lamb Schwarma platter to go for another meal. The woman that owns Go Go with her husband was very friendly! I was a bit concerned as I sat down to wait on my meal - I forgot to sample a few of their sauces (which are made in-house every morning!), but was glad I went with the suggested gyro sauce - garlicky, smooth, rich flavor; tasty as fluff. I picked their Classic Gryo because I wanted the feta cheese, but asked to leave off the banana peppers. It was so so soooooo good. The pita was warmed. The meat was tender and juicy, and there was a ton of it. The sauce was the perfect compliment. The side of fries were hot fresh outta the basket. They could have used some more seasoning, but I'm not complaining. I got the Gyro & Rice entree to go, and managed to forget to take a picture. It was just as good as the sandwich. The seasoned meat and rice were wonderful. I also used their sauces on this dish, and itwas an added bonus. I'd FOR SURE get this dish, should I not be feeling the pita bread that accompanies the gyro meat. I can't wait to get back to GGG! I wish I worked closer, I'd be there much, much more.

We were in the Columbus area from Charlotte, NC for a family wedding and my son and I were in our hotel watching college football while my wife and daughters were shopping and getting their updos for the event. I did not have a vehicle to pickup food or eat out for lunch so I looked on Yelp and #1 was Go Go Gyro. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. First of all the order was supposed to be fulfilled by Grub hub but when I completed the order the ticket said it was "for pickup". I immediately upon placing my order, called Grub hub and they were absolutely no help. They not only told me they could not deliver my meal but that I could not cancel my order. After a few choice words for Mr. Grub hub, I decided to call the restaurant. After explaining the situation they were eager to prepare my food and deliver it to my hotel. It wasn't more than 15 minutes and my meal was delivered hot and ready to my hotel We truly enjoyed the feta fries, then we ate the falafels and then for the main course traditional gyros!! Outstanding meal, delivery and service. I highly recommend Go Go Gyro to anyone that enjoys tasty Greek food and exceptional customer service.

Incredible food and service! I went in one day on my lunch break w a co worker and we both agree that the food here is authentic and made w love! The owner made us feel right at home. She's very sweet and personable. Never a dull moment! Definitely going to make this place my go to whenever I'm in the area.

This place just moved to Gahanna. It's a tiny place but a gem. The owner of the restaurant is a wonderful person who loves to talk to the customers. I ordered fish gyro, which I never had before. It came with fried fish and fresh vegetables. The combination is interesting but I would go with gyro or chicken next time. I asked for fries; the owner said he recommends feta fries and it was indeed delicious but loaded with calories. Overall its a fast food perfect for lunch. I will go there again

Superb Gyros, friendly staff, excellent prices. This place is located on Stelzer Rd right by the Columbus Airport. If you just landed or are in the vicinity of this place I highly recommend stopping by for an excellent meal. It's a small restaurant run by a super friendly family. The dining room is small and looks to seat about 20-30 people. When I got out of my car I could smell the wonderful food from this place. Its a very wonderful smell that makes you smile. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. We mentioned that we had never been there and we were given a great run down of the menu and suggestions on what to get. Order 2 Go Go Classic Gyros 1 Go Go Feta fries Drinks Bottle of water Cherry Dr Pepper In a few minutes our order was brought out to our table along with a few extras. A cookie was given to our little one, and a few extra sauces were also brought out. Sauces - both were excellent and tasty. Gyro sauce Go Go Special garlic sauce - a nice refreshing cucumber sauce with a hint of garlic. The feta fries were fantastic! The sauce and the feta cheese on the fries were delicious and addicting. The classic gyros were super tasty. The lettuce was green and crispy, the tomatoes were great, the gyro sauce was very tasty, the pita was wonderful and fresh. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful, the onions and banana peppers were great. All of the ingredients made for a perfect gyro. Everybody was super friendly and very helpful. They would periodically come out to check on us and make sure we were happy. They went out of their way to make us feel special and welcomed. This place is top notch and I highly recommend eating here often.

Carryout (not delivery) review. Solid 3 stars for restaurant food supply food at a budget price. Stopped in with my wife's texted order, and my intentions of asking questions before ordering. Super friendly counter woman, who mistakes me for a courier, because I carry my own Yelp Event thermal hot bag. She explained a lot of the business. Order at the counter from the over sized menu. When paying you can enter a phone number for the rewards program. One point for every $3 spent. $5 off for every 12 or 15 points. About the food.. Gyro meat is bought as a frozen cone, and not homemade. That's probably why it tasted like so many others. Pitas are also bought elsewhere. Fries and onion rings are unfortunately frozen. The chicken is bought fresh Halal raw, and cut. They marinade and cook it themselves. Rice is seasoned and made in house. The produce & salads are given more attention than most spots, due to scrupulous washing and inspection. Greek desserts are authentic, yet made out of state in Greek pastry shops. The gyro sauce is made is house, and is tasty. *Put all this info together and you get the same gyro ingredients as most here in town. Add in their own sauce recipe to make it taste different. Going off the label "GYRO" in their name, I was imagining something more. Making a gyro cone is no harder than a meatloaf. Pita's are general baking. Someone had to praise the food enough to encourage a business. Somewhere along the line maybe pre-made food came into the mix. At least prices reflect what they are selling. Perhaps the feature item is a homemade chicken and rice dish. I'll keep them in my collection of budget meals, and rate their review on their business equals. FYI- I ordered a french fry. "That should be fine to share?" Reply: "No, they are very small, in a paper envelope." Hand gesturing the size. Resembling a kids fry size. For $2.75?? I cancelled that order! I'm not sure I will ever dine in. It was very bright and clean. I don't want to dine anywhere that shares a hookah space. Yes a gentleman sitting in the room, not eating, playing a board game with another, smoking from a hookah. I thought it was a fluke until I saw a hookah pictured on their Google review page. Sorry, not interested in changing the flavor of the foods with sensory interruption.

This restaurant is located at a corner of a mall hidden away. The main reason I went there is because I went to the bank and discovered it. Sorry as I didn't take pictures of the food. I ordered a GoGo Gyro with fries. The portions were great as the gyro was tasty and their fries was freshly cooked.

I've seen a bunch of great reviews on this joint and i live close by so i came here for lunch yesterday. I love gyros and I've had quite a few from all around. Ok the place looks cool and clean on the inside so that's a good thang. I was not that impressed with the gyro and fries i got. First the pita wasn't warmed up enough so I could bite right thru it, I had to tear.....not good. They put a nice salad on top which includes lettuce, red onions and tomatoes and i liked it. The sauce is nice as well. Now for the meat.....not enough for all the bread and salad that makes up this gyro. As for the fries..........frozen. Certainly not the best and not the worst. Jus ok!!

I'll snap some pictures next time ha

SEVEN WORDS: TRADITIONAL, LOW PRICED, EHIOPIAN CUISINE / SKETCHY NEIGHBORHOOD…read more . Since we Live in Whitehall and my Wife has never tried Ethiopian Food, we stopped by Lalibela's - One of this part of towns historic Go-Toss. for Ethiopian Food anywhere in Columbus. . As we parked Our Car, we were greeted by a Short Strip Mall that had a very Gritty Look to the Exterior: Dirty Windows, Littered Parking Lot (with an Unbelievably High Number of Old Blackened Bubble Gum Stains from Parking lot to Front Door. It was Something you might see in a Marrakesh Baszaar - or any thired World Place where the Challenge was to actually keep things Clean on a Continual Basis. However, this is Hamilton Road in Sub-(Urban) Columbus. . We've eaten at Several Other Whitehall Restaurants - and Nothing look like this until you get on the South Side of Livingston Avenue - and Beyond. Still, I am personally undaunted by Exteriors - and sometimes the Restaurants themselves - by a little bit of unclean surrounds. . We Entered and the place immediately reminded you of a Middle Eastern Restaurant - Well-Stocked Bar along the Opposite Wall from the Entrance, a Quaint Restaurant that is outdated - and probably needs a good refresh on Furniture and Wall Coverings - but All are VERY Negotiable in a World Food Setting. . When we Looked through our Menus, we really didn't know a Single Dish on the Menu. Still, I chose the Beef Kitfo (Cooked to Medium) and My Wife Got the Beef Tibs (Cooked to Mild). . Unfortunately, we are both fans of a Very Mild Food - so this was not quite for us. Still, Let's try to give it a reasonable Fair Review, based on the Community, not the Individual Tastes. . Kitfo is a traditional meal, where a thick chili-like paste is cooked and placed in a small bowl with a Starchy Yogurt Sauce that has more of a butted whirred potatoes than the true yogurt that is mentioned. . The Bowl/Tureen sits atop a large pancake of "Injera," a fluffy Bread that is half-way between crepe and pancake, but 100% Savory. The traditional eating method is the Right Hand, taking the Injera in the right hand, folding around a dollop of Kotfo (or whichever protein) and maybe smoothing on a small bit of the Yogurt. Again - it's like Potatoes in this case, which was great. . Sorry for Being Lengthy, but If you don't know Ethiopian, you don't know it at all. . The Kitfo was mildly spicy and had the strong tastes of both Anise and Cardamom: Both are very Savory, but As Good as a licorice Liquor. The Beef, cooked to my liking - was like a spicy chili with a deep smoky tinge of Chili powder - and maybe even turmeric. Bright and Bold, but not Overwhelming. The Injera (bread" was like a fine piece of wheat-pumpernickel bread, a small bit tart, but quite yummy. It complemented the Kotfo perfectly. . My wife truly doesn't like Spicy food - and the Beef Tibs (not Tips, but a similar mash of Beef, Tomatoes, Chopped Onion, and some hot Peppers of some sort. . Due to the Heat and Exotic Flavors, we filled up quite quickly, but there would still be enough for a Hearty Serving for Each of Us. The Bill, including Two Entrees and One Soda came to $42 Reasonable, considering two Beef Dishes - and the Extra prep for the Made-from-Scratch Injera. . Although I Ranked it 3-Stars, it's still a mid-3, Maybe 3.45. Was it the Best Ethiopian? I'm not Sure of that, But I'll let you know whenever I try another of these Restaurants this Summer.

We ordered two meals to split between two people and I think we had 8 meals between the two of us. Anyways, the restaurant itself is super easy to miss. Its right off of Cleveland Ave and if you aren't familiar with the area, you can drive right past it without noticing. Google maps does help but if you're like me and have no idea what "on your left in 1000 feet means" then best to try and look out for the sign and be prepared to make a u-turn. There is a small parking lot out front but again, very easy to miss, especially in the dark. As it is still COVID times, I can't rate the interior dining experience. I do have to admit, it didn't seem like the nicest area but the best food always comes with a journey and a story. We parked, went inside and were greeted with a wide array of tantalizing scents. The staff was friendly and had our food ready for pick up. Basic COVID measures were in place, masks, social distancing, cleanliness. With our food they included soda and bananas, more on the bananas later. We also got a couple cups of soup, so protip, ask for soup if they have some! So we took this behemouth bag of food home and finally sat down to try it. I'll start with the soup, it was such a great flavor. Heavy on the goat/lamb flavor if you've ever had that but not in any overwhelming way. It was just so flavorful! The chicken kalankal also was just bursting with spices and was a great accompaniment to the yellow rice it came with. It was a very warm dish and very reminiscient of South Asian curries. The goat cubes were also delicious, fairly tender and again all those spices and sauce was very well soaked up by the rice. There are bones that come with the goat cubes so if you aren't used to eating things with bones, be careful cause there could be little pieces here and there. Overall, the food was amazing and I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes in the future. So about those bananas. My friend and I, being ignorant, had no idea whether the bananas were dessert, appetizers, whatever so weren't really sure how they fit into the meal. However, I do have one friend who told me he eats bananas and rice so I tried a piece of the banana with the overall dish. It actually worked really well, the sweet creaminess of the banana balanced out some of the spices from the meat very well. Whether or not I did the right thing is up to y'alls interpretation. Anyway, this was a very long review but in summary, Darbo is a great restaurant to try if you want some flavor heavy food. Also ensure you come with an empty stomach cause you can eat a meal for days!
