Came by for a quick lunch, I wasn't able to take pictures but we had the Beef Kebab and Shawarma platter, the combo was awesome! I needed to find something quick but tasty for lunch on a busy Monday afternoon and came across this restaurant on my local Yelp search. I was in the mood for a good gyro, so I placed an order on their Yelp page for pick-up. The process was quick and easy, and I received an order confirmation after my order was placed. I did opt for pick-up, so I had to go inside the restaurant to retrieve my order. I did not catch the staff member's name, but she was lovely and promptly gave me my order. I then took my gyro back to work to eat, and all the ingredients were super fresh, and the gyro meat had great flavor. I wish a bit of gyro sauce were put on the wrap. Couldn't decide, so I went with a #1 Go Go Traditional Gyro and added the feta (I don't like banana peppers). I got this as a combo meal because I was dying to try the fries. And I got their Lamb Schwarma platter to go for another meal. The woman that owns Go Go with her husband was very friendly! I was a bit concerned as I sat down to wait on my meal - I forgot to sample a few of their sauces (which are made in-house every morning!), but was glad I went with the suggested gyro sauce - garlicky, smooth, rich flavor; tasty as fluff. I picked their Classic Gryo because I wanted the feta cheese, but asked to leave off the banana peppers. It was so so soooooo good. The pita was warmed. The meat was tender and juicy, and there was a ton of it. The sauce was the perfect compliment. The side of fries were hot fresh outta the basket. They could have used some more seasoning, but I'm not complaining. I got the Gyro & Rice entree to go, and managed to forget to take a picture. It was just as good as the sandwich. The seasoned meat and rice were wonderful. I also used their sauces on this dish, and itwas an added bonus. I decided to. Give Go Go Gyro another try for lunch today. I walked in and there were five other customers waiting for their food. I was awkwardly greated by the lady working the front counter with a, "Yeah?" as she was focused on the DoorDash tablets. After waiting for a moment she eventually told me she wasn't ignoring me and that I can place my order ehenev I'm ready. I ordered a #1 (traditional gyro) with meat and lettuce only and a side of fries. She repeated my order and cashed me out. She left to go back into the kitchen and to help with filling orders.im pretty sure she didn't wash her hands prior to touching food so that's still a concern of line from previous visits. There was a lot of loud yelling, especially after delivering an order to a waiting customer and then returning to the kitchen yelling "SAY IT!" Several other orders were delivered with a "SAY IT!" being yelled back to the kitchen. Eventually another lady delivered my order in a stapled brown paper bag and I left. Once home I opened the bag and found the fries were well seasoned and cooked. Unfortunately, my sandwich had gyro sauce all over it and the meat was very dry and luke warm which pretty much ruined the meal. I tried to scrape off enough of the sauce to be able to eat my sandwich but I think I can now be the one to 'say it'...Go Go Gyro has gone back to getting orders wrong and the front line bouncing between the register and kitchen without washing hands. read more

We were in the Columbus area from Charlotte, NC for a family wedding and my son and I were in our hotel watching college football while my wife and daughters were shopping and getting their updos for the event. I did not have a vehicle to pickup food or eat out for lunch so I looked on Yelp and #1 was Go Go Gyro. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. First of all the order was supposed to be fulfilled by Grub hub but when I completed the order the ticket said it was "for pickup". I immediately upon placing my order, called Grub hub and they were absolutely no help. They not only told me they could not deliver my meal but that I could not cancel my order. After a few choice words for Mr. Grub hub, I decided to call the restaurant. After explaining the situation they were eager to prepare my food and deliver it to my hotel. It wasn't more than 15 minutes and my meal was delivered hot and ready to my hotel We truly enjoyed the feta fries, then we ate the falafels and then for the main course traditional gyros!! This place just moved to Gahanna. It's a tiny place but a gem. The owner of the restaurant is a wonderful person who loves to talk to the customers. I ordered fish gyro, which I never had before. It came with fried fish and fresh vegetables. The combination is interesting but I would go with gyro or chicken next time. Superb Gyros, friendly staff, excellent prices. This place is located on Stelzer Rd right by the Columbus Airport. If you just landed or are in the vicinity of this place I highly recommend stopping by for an excellent meal. It's a small restaurant run by a super friendly family. The dining room is small and looks to seat about 20-30 people. When I got out of my car I could smell the wonderful food from this place. Its a very wonderful smell that makes you smile. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. We mentioned that we had never been there and we were given a great run down of the menu and suggestions on what to get. Order 2 Go Go Classic Gyros 1 Go Go Feta fries Drinks Bottle of water Cherry Dr Pepper In a few minutes our order was brought out to our table along with a few extras. A cookie was given to our little one, and a few extra sauces were also brought out. Sauces - both were excellent and tasty. Gyro sauce Go Go Special garlic sauce - a nice refreshing cucumber sauce with a hint of garlic. The feta fries were fantastic! The sauce and the feta cheese on the fries were delicious and addicting. The classic gyros were super tasty. The lettuce was green and crispy, the tomatoes were great, the gyro sauce was very tasty, the pita was wonderful and fresh. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful, the onions and banana peppers were great. All of the ingredients made for a perfect gyro. Everybody was super friendly and very helpful. They would periodically come out to check on us and make sure we were happy. They went out of their way to make us feel special and welcomed. This place popped up on Yelp for me under new restaurants, and I realized it was right by my work, so obviously, I had to go check it out. It's right at Johnstown Rd. and Stelzer across from the ever classy Centerfold Club. This place used to be a wing spot that wasn't very memorable apparently, since I can't remember it as I'm typing this. The inside is changed a little bit and is a bit more welcoming, and the owner and his wife are super friendly. I tried their regular combo with fries, and it immediately shot up my list of great gyros in town. They give you tons of meat and the feta mixed with their tasty tzatziki was really good! The fries with their Cajun seasoning are cooked to order and really crispy and delicious. It's all very cheap as well with the combo, including a drink, only being like $8-$9. If you're over near the airport area, I highly recommend checking them out for lunch. read more

I might have just eaten the best gyro ever! The prices are fantastic: $4.75 and up for the gyros. We got the classic that comes with feta and banana peppers in addition to the traditional toppings. What really made this gyro was the sauce. We got to try two different sauces, both were great. But the one they called the gyro sauce was my favorite. We also ordered feta fries at the owner's recommendation, and we were blown away by the flavor. Again the gyro sauce was the star in addition to the feta and the fries. We were greeted by the owner and when he found out it was our first time, he was very helpful in making sure we had a good first experience. They do not have high chairs, but we made do with one of the arm chairs. Our daughter loved the extra freedom while still being mostly contained. Carryout (not delivery) review. Solid 3 stars for restaurant food supply food at a budget price. Stopped in with my wife's texted order, and my intentions of asking questions before ordering. Super friendly counter woman, who mistakes me for a courier, because I carry my own Yelp Event thermal hot bag. She explained a lot of the business. Order at the counter from the over sized menu. When paying you can enter a phone number for the rewards program. One point for every $3 spent. $5 off for every 12 or 15 points. About the food.. Gyro meat is bought as a frozen cone, and not homemade. That's probably why it tasted like so many others. Pitas are also bought elsewhere. Fries and onion rings are unfortunately frozen. The chicken is bought fresh Halal raw, and cut. They marinade and cook it themselves. Rice is seasoned and made in house. The produce & salads are given more attention than most spots, due to scrupulous washing and inspection. Greek desserts are authentic, yet made out of state in Greek pastry shops. The gyro sauce is made is house, and is tasty. *Put all this info together and you get the same gyro ingredients as most here in town. Add in their own sauce recipe to make it taste different. Going off the label "GYRO" in their name, I was imagining something more. Making a gyro cone is no harder than a meatloaf. Pita's are general baking. Someone had to praise the food enough to encourage a business. Somewhere along the line maybe pre-made food came into the mix. At least prices reflect what they are selling. Perhaps the feature item is a homemade chicken and rice dish. I'll keep them in my collection of budget meals, and rate their review on their business equals. FYI- I ordered a french fry. "That should be fine to share?" Reply: "No, they are very small, in a paper envelope." Hand gesturing the size. Resembling a kids fry size. For $2.75?? I cancelled that order! I've seen a bunch of great reviews on this joint and i live close by so i came here for lunch yesterday. I love gyros and I've had quite a few from all around. Ok the place looks cool and clean on the inside so that's a good thang. I was not that impressed with the gyro and fries i got. First the pita wasn't warmed up enough so I could bite right thru it, I had to tear.....not good. They put a nice salad on top which includes lettuce, red onions and tomatoes and i liked it. The sauce is nice as well. Now for the meat.....not enough for all the bread and salad that makes up this gyro. As for the fries..........frozen. Certainly not the best and not the worst. I noticed this place a while back, but hadn't had a chance to stop in. And honestly, I was put off by the outside appearance. The place itself looks fine, but it is beside a vacant gas station, and generally in an odd location that looks pretty scruffy. There are a few tables outside, but let's face it, dining alfresco beside Stelzer is not very refreshing. Don't let that fool you, though. It's nice inside, much bigger than it seems, and has a large menu with great food. I would say it's not a hole in the wall, but it's in a hole in the wall location. Plenty of comfortable seats, and even a private side room you could reserve. Service is at the counter, and was friendly and fast. There are plenty of gyro options, of course, plus schwarma, hummus, wings, etc. Lots of options, and I'll be back to explore more. This time I stuck with a "classic" gyro and some baklava. The "classic" upgrades a basic gyro with feta and banana peppers. The gyro itself is very good: great pita, plenty of tender, lightly seasoned meat, lots of lettuce and tomato, good sauce. Held together well, tasted great. The baklava was a big piece of well-made pastry, sweet but not oozing so much honey that it was messy. There was a pastry case with other sweets, plus stuffed grape leaves, etc. Out the door for $8 (I didn't get a drink, just took it home for lunch.) Handy, fast, cheap, tasty lunch. DON'T JUST DRIVE BY! This place is SO unassuming. I drive past here twice a day Monday through Friday to and from work but have never had the chance to stop in until today. In the past 4 years I've seen at least 4 different restaurants attempt to make this location work and they have gone as fast as they arrived but I see this place sticking around. The owners have added not only cute seating inside with welcoming decor, but they have cafe style tables with umbrellas outside. The parking lot is a bit funky to navigate and could use some functionality to it but I'm sure that will come with time. As for the food, it is made to order, fresh yumminess! Nothing gimmicky or over the top just good fresh ingredients and hearty portions. The menu has a bunch of options and a little something for everyone. Definitely recommend this family-owned restaurant if you're looking for delicious, quick, and fresh Greek food. This place is open during COVID -- It's take-out only, which works out if you're looking for a quick bite before a flight. I got the go go platter with fries since they were out of rice. It was a lot more filling than I thought, and they were really good about getting my food out really fast. This family owned business, is quite a gem, a diamond in the rough. The people here are extremely personable and friendly they also give quality food you may not know it but they do have a great dining room and you can also reserve a private room which is complete with a large screen TV they also have a loyalty program for its customers. They even have fish on the menu and soups sometimes these Greek restaurants you don't get such a broad selection it's never been really busy when I meant in but it should be cuz I think it's a great place great location to so if you are taking a flight out of town before you get on that plane you should go here and get you a nice gyro chicken gyro or salad since it's close to the airport now it's not often that I give five stars for restaurant but I believe this location deserves it check it out. read more

Ordered from doordash (so I went into my first experience knowing I overpaid). At first I was put off by the flour tortilla wrapper but after two bites I acknowledged their genius. I enjoy pita bread, however most gyros are messy to eat and hard to finish bc they are too "bready". The flour tortilla offered "full coverage" and I was able to enjoy the filling with minimal "spillage". Typically not a fan of feta cheese bc its too salty, but the GOGO fries were perfect. Also had an order of onion rings which surprisingly arrived warm & kept their firmness & crunch. I just shared feedback with DH and he said. If you like the flour tortilla then you don't want a gyro you want a wrap.. He may be on to something. Take that i o consideration as well. What a pleasant surprise! I was headed home, it was late and there was no dinner at home so I decided to try and find a new place near Gahanna. The outside is somewhat nondescript and I'm pretty sure the parking lot only fits like 3 cars (unless you can park at the building next to it, but there were cars there when I pulled in) but when you walk in it's quite lovely. I ordered the classic gyro (lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, feta, sauce) and some fries with the greek sauce and feta cheese that I've never seen offered on a greek menu. Both items were delicious! While I was waiting on my food, the cashier (not sure if he's the owner) gave me recommendations and talked about some of the much items. He was very friendly and he made me feel very welcome! We ordered two gyros to go (one chicken and one traditional) and an order of fries. I had really high hopes based on other reviews but honesty everything was good not great like I was expecting. Ordering was really easy and we didn't have to wait long which was appreciated. Once we got home, the food was still really warm and was as fresh as can be. I'm not sure if they went easy on the sauce or the seasoning which made it slightly bland. Overall, I would give them another shot and hope for a better experience. I was majorly disappointed on my first and last visit to Go Go Grill. The lamb shwarma was cooked in what seemed to be a large container of salt. I requested no seasoning in my French fries and they seasoned them. I ordered 6 wings for my wife and she concurred that she wouldn'tgo back either. My job relocated from downtown to the airport industrial park area, so there is very limited options when it comes to food unless you enjoy fast food. :( So, I didn't go to venture too far from work and was looking up local restaurants that are near my office and I found this and after reading reviews all of the 5 stars reviews I decided to check this place out. As soon as we came in we were greeted by a young man who was very friendly and he made a few recommendations. While prepping our order and everything he kept us engaged the whole time on various topics. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma and my colleague ordered the Lamb Shawarma. The shawarma was one of the best I have had and the fries were hella fresh and the seasoning blend on them was magnificent. Go Go Gyro is further proof, as others have said, that excellent food can come from the most unlikely locations. Parking is a bit questionable, and the restaurant is in a small lot next to an exotic lounge, but it's conveniently within 1/4 mile or so of Parking Spot, making it a great place to go prior to a flight out of town. That's just what my girlfriend and I did a couple of weeks ago before going on vacation, and we had two of the best gyros ever -- certainly the best in Columbus! Gyros aren't exactly complicated dishes, so it's hard to go into detail about *why* they are so good at Go Go, and yet the specific blend of seasoning and the ratios of meat to fixin's must be part of what makes them stand out. The fries, too, are excellent, and and older employee (perhaps the owner?) brought out a special sauce after we had received our order to dip the fries into. It was delicious -- almost like a blend of tzatziki and sweet mayo, and definitely a great complement for the fries. The prices are very reasonable as well. Finally, all three of the employees we interacted with were very friendly, and we could hear the kitchen staff laughing and having good conversation in the back -- one of those subtle clues that the food is made with love. Even though Go Go Gyro is a bit out of our way, we're going to make a point of stopping here before flights, and there's a good chance that next time we're feeling a Mediterranean craving, we'll come here anyhow.
