My wife and I planned a trip out of state and didn't want to leave our car at the airport for an extended stay. We searched the web and found Go808Express and are very glad we found them. Scheduling and payment were easy. Going to the airport the driver arrived at our home in Ewa Beach a bit early, which was perfect and loaded our luggage aboard the van. A direct drive to the airport as we were his only fares that ride. Similarly, on our return to the island, the driver was in the parking lot nearest our baggage claim waiting for us and a direct drive to our front door. Fantastic. This company picked us up on time and delivered us to our hotel safely, BUT our driver was the most negative person I've encountered in a long time. Before we were even in the car she told us it was supposed to rain all week. It rained one day but regardless...just don't way that! She told us we were staying on the rainy side of the island. Everyone else claimed it to be the sunny side. Who knows but regardless, keep it positive. She told us the food at our resort was meh and that the lines for activities were crazy and you had to line up at 6:30am. We've dined all over the world and the food was very solid at the resort's signature restaurant. We also never got up to wait in any lines at that hour. Regardless if you don't have anything nice to say... It seriously took me hours to shake off all the negativity from that shuttle ride. Picking people up and getting them where they need to go is half the service. The other very important job of someone picking people up from the airport is making them feel welcome and excited about their stay on the island. We had a great trip but it was feeling doomed after all the negative input from our driver. I'm glad everything she had to say turned out to be false. Booked this shuttle based on previous reviews.... not a great first impression our shuttle was not there. Called to figure out what happened they only had us reserved for the return to the airport even though i got multiple email confirmations showing round trip. The guy who answered the phone was hostile, rude and not very helpful. Our return driver did not talk to us nor did he offer to help with loading bags into the van.... The only reason I'm rating 3 instead of 1 is our backup driver, Chad, who showed up was fantastic, giving tips and secrets about the island, super nice and friendly. Helped load and unload bags. Was apologetic about the mix up and even discounted the rate since our private shuttle had become a shared shuttle. read more

Easy quick reservations via internet and online. They don't actually have a live person to answer phone calls. You leave a message and they will get back to you. Usually pretty quickly. It was the cheapest shuttle service I found around Oahu. The service was good. The cars were not quite as nice new and nice as speedishuttle but they were more than serviceable. I definitely would recommend them! I booked a private shuttle for 2 people from airport to hotel, round trip. It cost a total of $35 not including tip to hotel and $25 not including tip to airport. What I liked about Go808 is that they are quick with responses. I was waffling about booking times and emailed them back and forth with questions. They always answered them in a timely and professional manner..usually within 1-2 days unlike other places I sent inquiries. My only hiccup was during pick up at airport. Not their fault tho. My flight got delayed because someone on my plane lost their passport and the flight crew spent about 30-40 minutes looking for it. By the time I got to Hawaii, it was an hour later then the agreed time for pickup. I worried that they left already and couldn't find the van. Luckily, I had some quarter US coins for a pay phone...so I gave them a call and they said someone will be coming to pick me up in 10min. I ended up spotting another Go808 van meant for someone else but got it cause the other couple hadn't arrived yet and likely the van dispatched for me would go to them. Was a bit confusing at the time but it worked itself out. On the way back to airport, the guy picking us up was very nice and prompt. We had a nice chat and I discovered he has never been off the island and has never even seen snow! Coming from Canada, I was quick to say he wasn't missing too much. Lol. Except for 1 month of December when it's Christmas time..I could totally do without snow! Overall, service was fast, friendly and professional. No stopovers at other hotels and no sharing with any other passengers. Thumbs up! Much cheaper then some hotel shuttle service, which charge you $50-60 per person one way! Also, much more convenient then bus. Bus is cheap but will take twice as long and hard to travel if you are on time crunch, have a lot of luggage or are just plain ole exhausted. Oh and once I got back, I guess drivers didn't get the memo but I got 2 calls regarding my pick up. So I quickly emailed the company that I've already been picked up days ago and that I don't wish to be called. They quickly rectified this cause I didn't receive any further communication from them. I'm giving 1 star for our way from airport to hotel. Driver was fabulous! However when our return driver arrived for our pickup from hotel to airport, he was extremely rude and threatened to leave us when my 6 year daughter had to use the bathroom. He became very confrontational and wanted a "thank you" for waiting. I've never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. I will NEVER use this company again, especially because there are so many. Don't be a minute late or have any other urgent needs arise causing you to be 5 minutes late or you will be treated extremely inappropriate. I think his name was Bruce. Car ride was so uncomfortable, it was a long 20 minutes. As you can see from the response to my original review below, this is exactly what I was talking about. Who responds like that to a customer? Very good experience! The flat rates are transparent, the customer service via phone number likewise. I reserved online very easily (no payment information necessary) but I was unable to respond the the email for confirmation of pickup bc I was already on my flight. One way trips are an option, just FYI. When I landed, Leigh texted me that she was waiting and provided perfect instructions. She was a doll and the entire experience was easy. I was aware of paying cash by reading these reviews and from the clear wording in the email. A side note: another company (rhymes with Harley's taxi) quoted meter fare only, no flat rate option, to go 0.5 miles south of the zoo toward Diamond Head = $49. We were discouraged with GO808Express for when we arrived at the HNL airport, we thought we followed their directions on where they might be waiting with the shuttle but found them quite confusing and the driver did not help when we texted him our location. After about 30 minutes we finally found our driver. He did not even tell us that their original description of the shuttle van was incorrect. I arranged a car service last minutes like, in 3hours later service for my guests. The lady on the phone was really helpful and quick to answer every questions I had. First I want to thank my fellow Yelpers for introducing me to this company. I was traveling to Hawaii with a group and needed a shuttle company that could pick us all up including luggage for a reasonable fee. Go808Express checked all the boxes. There was 8 of us and with all of our luggage, I was worried what kind of vehicle would pick us up. We were all pleasantly surprised that a nice and new van came to pick us up. The first driver, Vinh, called me at the agreed time to check on us and once confirmed we had our luggage, told us where to meet him. I was relieved that we would be the only group in the van. In fact the driver explained that their company only does private parties--so no in between stops. Once we arrived at our hotel, Vinh helped us with our luggage. We liked the experience so much that we used Go808 for the return trip to Honolulu Airport. I highly recommend this company and would use them again for future trips. We booked HNL airport to hotel transport via Go808Express after reading so many great reviews, but our experience was subpar. After providing flight arrival time, flight number, and called to confirm the pick up the day before, no driver showed up at the airport! When we didn't see anyone at the airport, we called the company's office 3 times, leaving messages as no one answered. We didn't know if any driver would be coming. After waiting at the airport's center divider for 32 minutes, another Hawaii transport service offered to call Go808Express for us. He was able to get through to Go808Express' office and was told that we're not on their schedule! He then offered to drive us to the hotel. On our way, apparently Go808Express' driver contacted him to meet off the freeway! We had to switch vans on route! This is poor and unreliable service! According to Go808Express, if we had waited another 8 more minutes, wait a total of 40 minutes on the curb not receiving any notification that they were on the way nor able to get through to the company after 3 calls I made, they would have been there to pick up. I will only use Go808 whenever I'm on O'ahu now! Talk about an amazing customer service experience! We used them on four occasions - each part of a round trip. I had actually called the night before our arrival to see if we could book them. I should have known better than to book so last minute. Rodney told us they were booked already and unfortunately didn't have anyone available for this run. I asked him if possible to keep us on a "wait list" in case anyone canceled. Lo and behold, later that evening he confirmed us. I'm convinced he made it work. Pick-up upon arrival was a breeze. Rodney made contact with us as soon as we landed. We were a bit delayed in getting our luggage but he was patient and we kept in contact via cell phone. Finding him in the pick up parking lot was easy. It was an enjoyable ride over to our hotel as we talked like we were old friends. He gave us a ton of local tips and answered any questions we had regarding recommendations. He even gave us a few kid-friendly suggestions for things to do. I didn't even know they had a Chlldren's Discovery Center on O'ahu! They recommend booking your return trip to the airport three days in advance. I had no problem booking that. Well, we were scheduled to be picked up at noon for a 2:15pm flight back to the Bay area. As circumstances would have it, a few hours earlier, a plane had crashed at SFO airport causing the airport to shut down. While we scrambled to find alternative options to get home, I called Rodney again to explain. He was happy to cancel our reservation and told me to just call once we figured out what we were going to do. We had an option to go standby on a flight to LAX on a redeye later that evening. I called Rodney and he confirmed a pick up for us a 8pm. Angelo picked us up on time and off we went. Again, a pleasant and conversational ride with Angelo like we had known each other for awhile already. Sadly, as we waited to go standby, ultimately, only one seat was available. We decided to split up and my hubby got on the flight leaving me and our toddler behind. We were going to just try for another flight again, standby, the next day. We had come off a great vacation and it was unfortunate that it had ended this way. I got a little upset about it. Here I was with our toddler at 11 at night, now having to head back to our hotel in Waikiki. I didn't feel safe to take a cab at that hour, so I tried reaching Rodney in the event that he had someone available to pick us up. He was hesitant as most everyone was already done for the evening. But within a few minutes, I received a call from Josie. What a godsend. She had just returned home, but she was going to pick us up within 15 minutes! She gave me instructions on where to meet at the arrivals curb. By the time I got to Josie, I had been teary and visibly upset. We had just met and she greeted me with a big hug. She was so comforting. When we got in the van, she handed me a box of tissues and told me everything was going to be okay. (I was feeling a little stupid for crying about the situation, but sometimes we females get emotional about some silly things.) On the ride back to the hotel, I asked Josie how late was too late to confirm a pick up in the morning. She told me not to worry and just call or text her. She was avail as early as 5:30am to pick us up. We found a 7:50am flight with the best looking option for standby. I texted Josie for a 5:45am pick up. She confirmed and this was at nearly midnight. Sure enough, by 5:30am the next morning, she had already left me a voicemail that she was on her way. She picked us up at the hotel promptly and dropped us off at the airport. She was so good to us. Go808 is simply one of the best options to utilize when traveling into Honolulu. They offer great customer service and very competitive rates for private shuttle service to/from your hotel destination. I stumbled on Go808 by reading TripAdvisor/Yelp for easy transportation options between the airport and the Waikiki hotels. My girlfriend and I took advantage of their round-trip private shuttle service. We booked the service several days before our flight over to Oahu at the recommendation of other reviews because they get booked so quick. Their website is easy to navigate and provide plenty of information regarding where to find Go808 based on airline arrival. They are very prompt with their email responses. I was able to get my reservation set pretty quickly. They do allow you to prepay for your service which is super convenient. Our pick up was quick with exception to waiting for our checked baggage (not Go808's fault, airport is just super slow). Their pick up location is convenient since it's outside and to the left of the Hawaiian Airlines baggage claim doors. While waiting for our baggage, Rodney gave us a call to let us know that he was waiting for us. Once we got our bags, we walked over and was quickly greeted by Rodney. He was super cool and easy to talk to. If you were in need of awesome food recommendations or places to see, Rodney definitely hooks it up. I'm sure the other drivers are the same. Rodney was like the encyclopedia of cool local places to check out. We had an original list of places to check out, but definitely revised our plans based on his recommendations. (Example: check out Diamond Head on a Saturday morning since they have a huge outdoor market near the entrance of the park.) The drive to the hotel was super quick and comfortable. We rode in the gray minivan which provided plenty of space for my girlfriend, myself, and our 3 bags. I did have a brain-fart when we got to our hotel. I told Rodney that we prepaid for the service, which I completely forgot to do prior to our flight. I quickly called him and asked him the best way to send payment since he had already took off. He said it was okay if I paid the total fare upon our pick up to the airport or pay online. I felt pretty bad over the snafu, but he was easy to work with and I was able to pay online a few hours after our initial shuttle service. We had the pleasure get Rodney as our driver again on pickup. It was cool to give him the rundown of all the places we were able to check out from his rec's. Our Go808Express experience was this past March and actually was my 65-year old mom's and not mine...which explains the delay of this review. I forgot. :) My husband and I were meeting my mom in HNL before running The Hapalua, and her flight arrived three hours before ours. Since it's cruel to make anyone stay at the airport when he/she could be sipping a cocktail beachside, I consulted Yelp to see how we could get Mom to our hotel. The best reviews belonged to Go808Express, so I submitted an online reservation request. I received a confirmation email back and emailed back and forth letting them know this was my mom's first time to the island since her honeymoon in 1969. I was assured they'd take great care of her. Josie picked my mom up, and Mom said the communication was great. She heard from Josie as soon as she landed, and helped guide her out to the shuttle from baggage claim. Josie gave mom the tourist schpeel on the way into Waikiki, which my mom thoroughly enjoyed. According to my mom (and she's a stickler for service - I take after her), it was a first-rate experience. I thought the pricing was fair, especially since Mom was a solo traveler. We only used Go808 for pickup service to Waikiki, so I can't speak to the airport return experience. As a frequent visitor to Oahu, I like seeing some new players in the airport shuttle market, especially now that Uber is on the scene, too. Reserved with Go808 online from Japan since our airport pick up plans didn't work out. We filled out the online form and they emailed us back promptly with the price and pick up location. They had a online payment also but we paid cash. Our plane arrived early but they still were waiting for us. You do have to walk out to the center island for pick up. Booked this shuttle service for departure and return from our trip to Las Vegas. On departure night the shuttle van and driver (young gentleman who lived in Germany) where on time and pleasant, however the van was very uncomfortable. Upon arrival while walking to baggage claim get a call from Josie at approximately 9:37 pm stating that she was enroute on the freeway. She instructed us to head out of baggage claim C and meet her outside. By 9:40 my wife are waiting patiently outside with all the others. By 9:55 pm we are the only ones outside--all the other competitors have picked up their customers and I'm getting PISSED!!! I call Josie back and she says she's on the freeway and then mentions back roads and vineyard. I tell her that we are heading back into the baggage claim area with A/C and seats and to call us when she arrives. At approximately 10:10pm Josie calls and arrives in a minivan. Not only is the car uncomfortable but it didn't smell fresh. It pretty much is her personal car with tons of throw blankets that smelt stale. She mentioned freeway work as a contributing factor, but when I googled honolulu traffic didn't find any in fact it was Wednesday King KAMEHAMEHA day--freeways where shutdown the next night! All in all you get what you pay for--we won't be using this service again. read more

Believe the hype! If you decide not to rent a car and need a ride from HNL to Waikiki area, just go to their website and reserve a spot. They are great at responding to any questions you may have in a timely manner. My husband, my toddler and I reserved a shuttle a week before we arrived. We received confirmation for the reservation the next day with detailed instructions on where to meet our driver and the total fee, etc. I confirmed the reservation a day before we left per the instructions and when I arrived at HNL my driver texted me to call when we had our luggage in hand. I called Ray and he told me where he was waiting for us and what he was wearing. Although the site and email says that all their shuttles are clearly marked with 808express on it, Ray's white van did not have any logos on it. Ray helped us with our luggage and we were on our way to Waikiki. A whole van to ourselves. Very nice! They do not provide car seats for kids, but they suggest that you bring your own. Ray had a bunch of great restaurant recommendations. We arrived to our condo about 20 mins later. We paid $30 plus tip. On our return trip to the airport, Luke picked us up. He was just as friendly as Ray and talked about his fav restaurants and family. The ride was smooth. Paid $30 plus tip. I highly recommend Go808. They have great rates and you get the whole shuttle to yourself. I contacted Go808 a week in advance of my trip to Honolulu for roundtrip service from Honolulu Airport to my hotel (Hyatt Regency) in Waikiki. I didn't want to have a shared ride in a big bus, or use an expensive taxi, and Go808 sounded great from all the positive reviews I read. Everything went smoothly! The driver was so friendly, and informative. Best of all the price was affordable, even with gratuity (we paid cash). Arrival The day before our arrival in Oahu, I called to confirm the reservation with Go808. Upon arrival at Honolulu Airport the next day, I called them again (as per their instruction), and I ended up talking to our friendly driver. He told me to go ahead and get our luggage. After getting our bags, I called him again - and he instructed me to meet him in the center island on the street outside baggage claim. (Note, you may not be able to see your driver's parked van until you get that the center island because other vans and buses are often parked there obstructing your view.) I found the driver at the center island holding a sign with my name on it. He helped load the van, and he also had water for us (it was really hot that day). Once we got going, it only took 30 minutes to get to our hotel. (There was a bit of traffic, but it wasn't bad compared to traffic I've experienced in LA or San Francisco.) On the way, our driver was really informative - he told us what restaurants to go to, the best ways to get to certain sites, and general tips for our trip. One thing I must say is that our driver was really nice - my child had forgotten his luggage in the van after the driver dropped us at our hotel. We quickly called the Go808 number and the driver was back at the hotel with my kid's luggage in a matter of 5 minutes! Returning The return trip to Honolulu Airport went smoothly as well. The day before, I called them to confirm the pickup. The following day, the driver called me 30 minutes before the pickup time - saying there was no hurry but that he was already at the hotel and would be waiting. I found out that it was the same awesome driver we had before and we were soon back at the airport. (Tip: try to avoid high traffic times in the early morning or late afternoon - this can delay your trip. Also, don't forget to tip your driver!) I would have given them 5 stars except the dispatcher messed up twice. The first time resulted with the shuttle arriving 24 hours early; the second time was when the driver did not arrive at all the next day. Thanks to another driver, Josie who made up for the dispatcher's mistakes. She was given the wrong date and showed up a day early. The next day another driver was assigned but failed to show up. Josie then took the assignment but ended up being 30 minutes late. She was extremely apologetic although it wasn't her fault. She managed to get us to the airport in time for our flight. She told us that she would make sure to pick us up from the airport when we returned which she did, even meeting us at the luggage area to help us to take our baggage to her vehicle. Her graciousness and great service made our trip very pleasant. I hope that her management sees this and rewards her. read more
