I was disappointed with my experience here. I brought in two dogs--my older one can be a bit difficult, but he was only taken to the back for a couple of minutes. My other dog did completely fine with no issues during the visit. When I later tried to schedule another appointment for the dog that did well, I was told their notes said she tries to bite and that she would need to be sedated by a vet. That didn't match what we experienced at all. Overall, it felt like there was a miscommunication or inaccurate note made, and it made it difficult to return. I would have appreciated a more thorough evaluation and clearer communication. read more

This is just our spot. Miles gets clean. Soft. He gets his anal glands drained. Nails ground down. It's always quick and he's always happy to see me. Partially because he's very codependent but whatever lol This past Friday (two days ago...) Our regular shampoo (which is Lavender because it calms the anxious little pup,) was out so the groomer used Plum. I was super grossed out. Absolutely hated the smell. Instead of complaining I text her and asked I'd he's gotten a different scent. To which she explained it was out and she used plum. I told her I absolutely couldn't stand it. It was chemical smelling and awful. And I'm super smell sensitive (which is problematic as you can see!) And I was getting a headache from it. So she offered to bathe him again. And I got to pick out the scent. Ahhhhhhh so thankful. That's customer service. And I was VERY thankful and happy after. I'll keep bringing Miles because y'all care! read more

Groomer Rivky did a wonderful job with our Golden. Rivky gave us so much information about our dog's coat that we'd never heard before, and helped us become more confident in taking care of our pup. Marinda did such an amazing job with my Siberian Husky, Dokka! Her coat is unbelievably soft and I've never seen it look or feel this good. I am definitely coming back. They really listen to your concerns and take extra care with the details. I asked for Dokka's coat to be thoroughly dried because past groomers at other salons have sent her home damp, which caused skin irritation and discomfort, but Marinda made sure her coat was completely dry. She smells wonderful (not like wet dog at all!) and there was very minimal shedding afterward. Dokka also left happy and relaxed, which means so much to me. This team is very professional, patient, and knowledgeable, especially for husky owners who know how important proper drying and coat care is. I highly recommend this place! My dog wouldn't get out of the car when we pulled up. He hates going here. He shakes and doesn't like it at all. His glands were also not done properly and he's expressing his glands while awake and licking. I am finding a different groomer. This sucks as they came highly recommend. Not the case! read more

We've been bringing our dog here for several months now and could not be more pleased! All of the groomers I've met have been incredibly nice and the salon is always clean. Our regular groomer, Casey, is the best we've ever had. My dog is not an easy dog to groom (complicated haircut, mats easily, but sits well) and he always comes out so adorable. I've never had any weird issues like clipper burn, eye redness, small knicks or cuts. The salon is a little more expensive than what I am accustomed to, but the difference isn't so great that I'm gonna make a big deal over it. Like most people, my dog is precious to me, I'd do anything to make sure he's in good hands. I've never worried for one moment when he's at Goat & Bear, and I'll gladly pay the extra money for that! read more

The dog groomer my dog loved left a few weeks ago and I thought about switching (for I had had others and they were not good or on time at all - like 4+ hours later). I went in for my usual time (been coming same day of the week, same time for a couple of years now) and they didn't have my appointment on the books. They had it scheduled a month later (same date); not a single person apologized for this mishap. It clearly was a mistake on their end on the date - to be scheduled on a Wednesday when I have always come on a Monday. Could have been simple enough; but not a single person cared. Despite not looking busy, they refused to not only own up to the mistake but to also work my dog in. I had to repeatedly say only Monday's work for me, when they kept asking "we can get her in Wednesday." "How about Thursday." They clearly did not seem to care to listen to what I was saying and just wanted me out of the office. When I said "what about this date? I would have to drop her off earlier and I need her done within 4 hours later." The groomer then said "well are you really going to show up?" FIRST COMMENT? Seriously? I did respond, well that is in 4 weeks and if I decide to go elsewhere I will call to cancel (I have never not shown for an appointment, not ever not tipped 20-25%, or prebook the exact same day of the week and time). To my honest response she said "well our dog groomers depend on you showing up and coming in. I WILL NOT (raised her voice) schedule you if you will not promise me you will come." To which I answered: "I also depend on having my scheduled appt be when it was scheduled. I have always shown up, but no one can promise that, but I will cancel prior if need be." Her "Then I am not scheduling you." At this time the owner came in, at this time I had a very frustrated tone and voice when I said her employees were being (cuss word) rude. She then couldn't log into the computer. I left after this. At ALL costs avoid this place. It is to hit and miss which groomer you get. They don't respect other's time. My first experience here they took 7 hours for my dog, instead of the promised 3-4. I gave another chance and regret it. read more

Avoid this salon. I had my shih tzu groomed there a couple months ago and the cut was choppy. I decided to give them another chance and I called and asked for a call back (I got their answering machine). They didn't call after a week, I called again, got a person on the line, and told them I didn't want the person who groomed my dog the only time I went there. The woman who called me back after that was terse, cold and rude, and told me they wouldn't groom my dogs. I've had my dogs groomed for 15 years with Muttley Crew and never was treated this way as a dog grooming customer. read more

Avoid this salon! Took my dogs here twice. For the first visit one of my dogs was cut very badly, we ended up having a $400 vet bill. The groomer who did the cut is no longer at the salon, but she did do a great job and I understand that mistakes can happen. I contacted the owner who is extremely rude and didn't care whatsoever that my dog was injured and took no responsibility. She asked for the bill to be sent and then claimed "it wasn't their fault and outside policy for them to cover any outside expenses". We went back and forth and finally she offered a free haircut for one of my dogs on our next visit. Ok don't cover any bit of the bill, but to deny and take no responsibility or show any care to my dog? No thanks! She also bad mouthed the previous employee which was extremely unprofessional. We did take our dogs back for the free groom that was offered since it is very spendy with specific instructions to avoid such short cut/the area that was cut. The second cuts which the owner did were marginal, and after our first visit and how the owner handled the situation, I will not go back. There are much better grooming salons out there with better prices and owners who actually care about their clients! read more
