The young ladies that run this location are super friendly & attentive. We take 2 dogs for grooming every 6 weeks. The bigger of the dogs is high energy & hates any form of grooming. The smaller dog is diabetic that we haven't had much luck stabilizing so he can't get dental appts to take care of his bad teeth. That being said, he's snappy when holding his muzzle to work on his beard (they're schnauzers). These ladies are very professional and work very hard to accommodate our lil handfuls! read more

Location is great and convenient. Love that they have a self wash station without a time limit and reasonable prices. They do offer some shampoo and conditioner but I bring mine because my dog has sensitive skin. I also like that the blow drying stations are down low and they provide a chair for you. I have a 110lbs Akita and it takes a while to get him dry and all the extra fir out of him. All other self washing stations I've been to have it up high so if you have a dog like mine your having to stand for a while and I've had close calls with my dog hanging himself trying to get away from the dryer. read more

I had my dog groomed here. Communication while making the appointment was excellent--my phone call was returned promptly and the appointment was confirmed the day before. The groomer was attentive while I answered questions about how I wanted my dog clipped. She asked good questions, too, to be sure she got it right for me. The groomer was very kind and gentle and my dog was not stressed at all when I picked him up. (Note: it is a busy salon with a lot of dogs coming and going, so if your dog doesn't do well in such settings, be sure to talk to the groomer before going to be sure this is the right place for your dog.) I have been using the self wash here since the second day they were advertised. We are talking years here. I am on my second dog and years of being a loyal customer. The place is great since I do all the work. I like the place because it was convenient and fair priced. I always excused this place as the owners never recognized me as a regular and never offered a thank you or please come back again. Is there an option for 1/2 a star? I took my Scottish Terrier/Poodle mix in as our regular groomer had moved away. I had read some lovely comments on their website and thought I'd give Bowser's Bath a try. First, there are 2 businesses in the store; the grooming part and a locksmith. The key grinder is in the same tiny nook as the cash register and when someone needs a key the employee must leave the cold, wet dog and operate the noisy machine. Then there were two small children, as mentioned in another review, who were rude and unsupervised. The final groom was passable. As if $45 for this mess wasn't enough, my dog brought home FLEAS. Now, he has been on flea meds since 12 weeks of age, and has not had a single flea on him since a friend's dog stayed with us and brought some with her. The most heartbreaking part for me was my dog's fear of being brushed out at home for weeks after this event. Bowser's Bath may have been a great place at one point, but it sure isn't now. read more

I had written a long story about how one of the people who worked there was rude to us, and how she talked badly about one of the customers in front of the other customers when he was outside. She may have had a bunch of difficult customers that day, who knows. They had everything we needed to do a good job bathing our dogs, but the one woman's attitude made it an unpleasant experience, and we will be trying other self-serve dog washes from here on out. Bowsers Bath is the very best! Some past posters clearly are not thinking with a clear mind and must have misguided frustrations! The owners are very friendly people. I have taken my Tea Cup Yorkie to the owner for over 3 years and my dog looks and smells great whenever I lick her up! With regards to the second business -- so what. The dogs being cared for are always treated with kindness and care. How many other businesses does the consumer have to wait because a phone needs to be answered? Get over it. With regards to the children -- they are very well cared for and watched. Sure children have to be watched and taught how to be around new strange dogs but to degrade Bowsers Bath is not fair! I will continue to take my dog to Bowsers Bath because the grooming is excellent and my dog is treated with lots of love, kindness, and respect. That is what is important and nothing else! read more

This place is in a bit of a janky location, but its worth the trip. The wash tables are well appointed, the soaps smell great and there are a ton of options (we use all of them=), and they have all the hardware you need to finish grooming, like brushes, slickers, nail clippers, and the like. The place is clean, and the people are friendly. If i have one beef with this place, it's that the dryers aren't heated, they just blow air (they do blow strongly, at least), so it takes a long time to get your dog dry-ish. read more

This is my favorite self-service dog wash in the area! The tubs are a great height, so I don't get a back ache. I also like the height of the sides of the tubs, so there are fewer splashes. (Though my big dog still manages to soak me!) They have all the supplies you need, they are very friendly, and the price is quite reasonable. I hope I can find one as good in our new neighborhood! I have the CUTEST Schnauzer in the whole metro area. Really. He is adorable. Schnauzers have hair, not fur, which is awesome because he doesn't shed but he needs to get his hair "did." We take him in to see Body at Bowsers. She is fast, sweet and makes my little guy look so freaking rad. Body knows my doggy so well that at one point we had switched his food inbetween the times that she saw him, she told me to go back to what we were feeding him before. She takes the time to love on him while he is there and I feel very good knowing that she is taking care of him. (The schnauzer in the picture is not my doggy.) read more

Great deal and they supply all of the pet bathing accessories and set-up for full wash and blow dry for dogs. Only $12 bucks for my little pomapoo, we like to pamper him so we usually stay at least an hour here once a week. They have an assortment of tear free and sensitive shampoos for pups with allergies or delicate skin. Nice folks and a "homey" atmosphere. Don't let the fact that they share a space with a pawn shop fool you. These ladies care about Heath and hygiene for their canine customers. The dogs all seem to be at ease and the groomers like the dogs/like hay they do. It's nice to see the people there consistently warm and friendly. They have punch cards and I can tell they aren't out to rip people off. Give them a try, we are glad that we did!! read more

First off I would give this grooming salon a -2 star if I could, I've been a client with this business for a long time and recently it has changed owners. Not only is it not suitable for grooming your dog, but the new owners seem unprofessional and unapproachable to say the least. I came in for the self grooming as I do, and the whole store was ripped apart, and mold on the walls. You'd think they would shut their doors for a week for remodeling, but they're open with many violations for safety. The groomers I've seen there many times were always so helpful and happy and now it seems as if there is some internal issues going on with management that is effecting the whole store and the employees. I deeply wish I could give this salon a great rating as it deserves before these events, but I will no longer bring any animal of mine or friends to this location because I simply feel uncomfortable by the recent vibe and safety hazards that is going on in there. read more

I am quite disappointed with my experience with Bowsers. So many great reviews made me want to change from our regular. First of all when you walk into this business there is a sense of chaos. The loud noise from dogs is to be expected but overall it did not give an impression of cleanliness and tidiness. A toddler was running loose and a baby playpen was near the dog kennels. It seemed strange to have a small child in that environment. As it was our first appointment I expected the groomer to ask for medical records to prove our dog was vaccinated. She didn't and when I offered to show the Rabbies vaccine record she didn't want to see it. Our dog's fur was left too long with certain parts that didn't look groomed at all. I'm not sure his claws were trimmed as they are still too long. I paid $40 cash before I had a chance to take a look at my dog but for some reason I did not get a receipt. In fact I'm not sure there was a cash register. The groomer was nice enough but seemed distracted and certainly didn't make a new customer feel special. I guess we'll go back to what we were used to which was far better for the same price. read more

This place is great! I never took my St. Bernard here because he was so easy to wash in the tub at home. It was a lot of cleanup for me after we were done though. My Bloodhound isn't as easy so I thought that I would give this place a try. He is trying to jump out of the tub at home and feels the need to shake constantly. I tend to follow the rest of the people and decide on nice days it's a great time to take my dog in and it can be a little crowded with only two large dog tubs. It is so nice and convenient having all the soaps, conditioner, baby wipes for the ears, dryers, and the perfume. The price is very fair considering I can leave the mess behind and my dog is clean and smells good. I never noticed a problem with the dryers mine was heated. They could have upgraded I guess since the other persons post. read more

Called to make an appointment for a dog grooming and did not realize this was really a self-service place -- the person who scheduled the appointment didn't advise me that they don't really groom dogs. They meant well, I suppose, but they ended up completely shaving the dog and it looked awful. I'm assuming this place is fine if you are using the self-service bathing facility, but if you're expecting knowledgeable groomers who handle all aspects of the service (nail dremel, teeth cleaning, anal glands, etc.) best to find another option. read more

I had a rescue that needed to be groomed. I posted on Next Door asking for a groomer that would take their time with my rescue and do a good job. Colleen was recommended at Bower's Bath. I took my rescue there and I am now a loyal customer. Colleen is SO good with frightened dogs and she does a beautiful job of grooming. Yes, this is a small place. Yes, it sometimes gets noisy (there are dogs there for goodness sake) and yes, there are children there sometimes but I have never seen them not supervised and the children are very respectful around the dogs. Because of Colleen's experience and care for my dog I wouldn't think of taking her anywhere else. I am grateful for the service Colleen provides. She cares. read more

I rarely write a review but this establishment is so out of touch that I wanted to warn others. The equipment and surroundings are small, old, clunky and out of date. The only way my large, older dog could get into the elevated tub was via a very, very steep ramp. Most dogs are hesitant to take a bath in the first place and this place makes is it especially scarey for them. Most of all, however, is that there are two very small children (approximately 2 and 4) who have the full run of the place. They're naturally and understandably interested in dogs. Unfortunately, they are far to young to know how to act and interact with pets. They approached him from behind, touching him and talking loudly. The youngest even started to crawl up the ramp as my dog was going down. Thank goodness I have a mild mannered guy. THESE CHILDREN ARE NOT PROPERLY SUPERVISED. It's a disaster waiting to happen and it won't be the pet or pet owner's fault. If your idea of a great place to wash your pet is in a lax day care, then this is the place for you. For the rest of us, stay clear! read more

While I took my dog there to get a bath, there was an employee that was grooming a dog left in the care of her hands that was yelling, screaming, and which sounded like she was hitting the dog to sit still. The dog was whining and crying in response to this employee's ways of controlling the dog. I will never go to this location again and have found a better alternative. read more

I have a little puggle. Not a lot of hair so I'm in and I'm out. They have everything that I need and are always very fair with their pricing. I would recommend coming here as opposed to the new Petco baths. It's way more user friendly and you have as many towels as you need, lots of extra supplies (washcloths, cotton swabs), choices of shampoos, and it's just easier to manuever around the place. water is perfect temp, warm dryers. read more

I've been taking my dogs Joey and Maikai to bowsers bath for grooming for about a year now. They have always done a stellar job for me and have been flexible with my schedule. I took my daughters dog to the dog park on a rainy soggy day and he got really muddy. I didn't want to bring him in the house so I looked at yelp and found good for reviews for this place. And it was close by. I was in and out in 15 minutes. This was a new first experience for me, so I asked him to show me the drill.
