I honestly thought the pizza was super greasy, but the dessert was amazing! I didn't love having to order beer and food separately, but I understand it's two different businesses. Also, the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. Loved the beer selection though and everyone was friendly!

Wow. This place has amazing pizza! Came here with my family and we all agreed it's some of the best pizza we've had in a long time, from the dough to the perfectly cooked crust. We tried the pepperoni & sausage and the white P&S pizza, and both were insanely delicious. The pizza was both thick and light at the same time. We also ordered the house salad and... bomb is the only word. That spicy Italian dressing was straight fire! So good that we tried to get the recipe, but they keep it under lock and key. Can't blame them. BUT, they might package and sell it sometime in the near future. Highly recommend checking this spot out. It's located in downtown Mesa, so there's no parking right out front, but plenty nearby with a short walk. You order at the bar/front (no table service), but everything comes out fresh and fast. Clean space, good vibes, and food that absolutely delivers.

Pretty good little spot for pizza in DT Mesa. I met a group of friends to catch up. Good amount of seating and lots of drink options, if that's what you go for. I ordered the green + white which was a pesto pizza woth garlic and mozz. To my surprise, the garlic was raw. To be honest, I can't remember if this was specified on the menu or not but maybe a quick roast wouldn't hurt because raw garlic just steals the flavor show. I kept leftovers and reheated this the next day which made the cheese meltier and garlic more bearable. My friends got a pizza with maybe a shredded pork and chipotle raspberry sauce, plus pickled jalapenos. That was a flavor explosion and a really good balance of sweet and spicy. Overall pizzas were good and I would come back to check out new flavors.

I have been hearing great things about this bar for over a year. We finally tried it and we were not disappointed. The bar has a fun atmosphere. The bartender treated my husband to a free birthday beer. The pizza and drinks were great. Another great addition to downtown Mesa!

SO GOOD - just come here and order everything. I was here recently to meet a friend for dinner, and walking, it was definitely busy! They are sharing space with a brewery so when you order it will be right at the entrance on your right! We decided to share a pizza and got it half Pepperoni/Sausage and Bulgogi/Mushroom. We also shared the hummus appetizer! We were talking hot gossip and updating each other on the drama of our lives but it was really hard with HOW GOOD EVERYTHING IS. We literally had to take a break from talking to just enjoy the food. The hummus was actually really good, the pita was flaky, and vegetables were crisp! Pizza: OMG - I was a little upset we decided to split a pie because I would have gladly been greedy lol

Can pizza be a spiritual experience? I say yes lol. We aren't drinkers, but Goat and Ram is in the same space as a brewery. The space was large and had a very cool vibe. You had me at 2000s indie. I haven't had pizza in MONTHS. It's started making me not feel well. Unfortunately, it's one of my partners favorite foods. Before our vacation ended I wanted to find a pizza spot for us to have lunch. It's like I was touched by an Angel girl. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner, who asked if we had ever been in. They gave us the rundown of their smaller menu and how everything is made by them (crust, the croutons on their salad is made from bread they made). I'm such a believer in doing a few things really well, and this place knocked my socks off. Not only fantastic, but also the first time pizza has not made me ill in months and months. The care they take for the ingredients and prep really shows. We shared the pepperoni and sausage and added the caramelized onions from another menu item. SO. GOOD. Just the right amount of everything. The cheese, the sauce, the meat, THE CRUST. Omg. Don't skip the cherry pepper jam. If they bottled and sold it I would put that shh on everything. 1000/10 thank you so much!

I'll keep it short and sweet-- this pizza is incredibly good. Goat & Ram used to be a food truck. I would usually see them in front of Chupacabra. Now they are a permanent part of Phantom Fox. I enjoy the rotating pizza flavors and have enjoyed it every single time. I really like their cheesy bread and hummus also. So good.

This visit was even better than the last. The cheese blend with the dollops of ricotta were so good. The dough is really what sets this pizza apart. It's so light and airy. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The best of everything in my opinion. Ordered online and walked down the street to pick it up. It was ready the minute I walked in. It's always a struggle not to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. I lost the battle this time lol.

Both my best friend and local pizza expert Wizard of Za recommended Goat & Ram pizza, so of course I had to try it. It's located inside of Phantom Fox Beer Company in downtown Mesa. They have plenty of tables as well as seats at the bar. There are a couple of TVs, so you can catch a game while enjoying some food and beer(s). I got there around 11:30am on a Sunday and was the first customer to order pizza. The whole place got really busy starting around noon. The food menu is small, 4 non-pizza options and 4 pizzas, which is great because I often get decision fatigue. I tried the Cheese pizza which contains three types of cheese - mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan. I loved how cheesy it was. I mean the cheese pull was perfect! The crust was slightly thin yet still strong enough to hold up the topping. I liked that the outer crust was airy and not dense. Their second standard pizza flavor is Italian & Sausage, then the other two are rotating flavors. They also have a variety of side sauces. I didn't try any, which I regret because the calabrian chili oil and habanero honey sound so good. I don't usually go to downtown Mesa, but I would definitely go back for more of this pizza!

I really, really like the food here. I'm lucky that it's right down the street from work, so it's a quick and easy lunch. The staff here is so nice. It's shared a doable with Phantom Fox Beer Company, but because It was the middle of my work day, no beer was purchased. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza and the hummus. I think the crust on the pizza at goat & ram is the best crust I've ever had. It's delicious! But, to tell you the truth, it's the jalapeno hummus with the bread (I'm guessing it's the amazing pizza dough, but I could be wrong), carrots, and cucumbers that's my favorite - - Yes even more than the pizza! I could eat that hummus every single day and be happy. This is one of those places that everybody has to try, so if you have not been here, go fast! You won't regret it!

I again found myself with a few hours to kill in downtown Mesa, which has gotten pleasantly hip. Goat & Ram is inside Phantom Fox Brewing Co. After a bit of a struggle to find parking, I walked into the bar. FYI, order food at the counter by the window. Order drinks at the bar. I got a cheese pizza and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. It wasn't--10 tops. I used the time to get a water at the bar and have Jake go over the water station at the back of the bar and the location of the bathrooms. I love a good informational tour of a new spot. I was also very pleasantly surprised that they carry Athletic NA beers so I ordered one of those. Phantom fox has a good sized patio on Main Street. I took my number and sat outside for some people watching. There were a surprising number of young families on the patio. It kind of reminded me of the brewery vibe in San Diego. So the pizza--the crust is amazing. Very chewy They're big enough for two people making the $17 price point very reasonable. There was something about the sauce that smelled and tasted a bit like BBQ sauce that I didn't love. I wanted to love it because the crust was so good but it was just not for me. I would still come back for the vibe and the crust and I'll bring my kids next time. read more

Tried this pizza spot as I was out here for a work trip. First, everyone was super friendly, from the guy who took our order to the woman who helped out with beer recs. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and the chicken shawarma pizza. Both were fantastic. You know the pizza is good when the crust is excellent. The chicken one was really interesting, I highly recommend when if you love garlic. We sat outdoors on the patio which was lovely because of the weather. They have ample seating inside and outside. I'm very picky so when I found that they have odd flavors and change them I thought I was done for. I checked it out and they had pepperoncini cream cheese on a pizza (two of my favorite things) shit slapped! The thing that got me coming back before the end of my 4day trip (yeah it was THAT good) was the jalapeño hummus. AMAZING. I wish I could ship it home. Their flat bread is so warm and fresh. I can't wait to go back just for that! The service was good. You walk up and order and then the server brings you your order. We were served by the owner's wife (I think she's the ram) she was pretty cool. And the vibe was laid back hipster bar but in a good way. read more

BEASTED! Honestly, kind of expensive for what it was here. We didn't drink just ate pizza and had some sodas. Also really loud in here, but were playing good music at least. The pizza was good and I was able to take some slices home to finish. The habanero honey I ordered on the side saved the day, that was so good. Just not worth $23 in my opinion, probably better pizza options in the area for that price. read more

Best pizza I've had in Arizona hands down. Maybe the best pizza I've had in my life. My hometown pizza at El Fredos in Sioux City, Iowa was great when I was a kid but Goats pizza is the GOAT in Arizona!!! Friendly service every time and good price. Great bar as well lots of TVs to watch football or any sport. read more

My favorite pizza spot in Mesa. The rotating menu and staple items are all great. Best crust, hands down! Get the hummus, which has a little spice, fluffy/chewy pita and always crunchy veggies, def recommend. Never had a pizza here I did not like: Jalapeño popper, pepperoni & sausage, choking goats....everything is delicious. It can get really busy on the weekends, sometimes with a line out the door. The perk is that it is in inside the Phantom Fox so you can grab a beer while you wait and watch a game. read more

Pizza was delicious. Salad was just okay- iceberg lettuce with some stuff on top. The spicy Italian dressing was really good. Staff at both food counter and bar were super friendly. I'm not a fan of going out to eat and having to go to one place for food and another for drinks. Going out is a luxury and when I do go out I want to relax. Second place in downtown Mesa I have been to like this- not sure I'm a fan of this trend. read more

Everything about the food, service and vibe hits ALL the high notes. I was just trying to find a great pizza because I was less than thrilled about another that I had a few days ago. I ordered the pepperoni and sausage and a side salad. The side salad is easily enough for two people . Great ingredients. The Pizza was the bomb. The crust is not describable. Soft, not chewy, the pizza was wonderful. But I had another find. I ordered a cider called the apple pie. It tastes like apple pie. They rotate the ciders and I was fortunate to get this one. Ahhhh. Everything was great! Great staff, indoor and outdoor seating. My new go to! read more

This may be the best pizza crust I have had in Arizona. You can eat the pizza without the toppings falling off on first bite. The sauce had a smoked flavor which is different. I have been here twice in the last 3 weeks. I would rate this pizza in my top 5 favorites. I wish they had more toppings. read more

We happened to be down the street with our friends at the IDEA museum and worked up our appetites for lunch. I checked out food near me and came across the pizza shop Goat and Ram. After looking at their website with delectable, mouthwatering looking pizzas, we decided to try it out. It wasn't too hard to find being that the restaurant shares their space with Phantom Fox brewery. We ordered a cheese pizza and pepperoni with sausage, a hummus platter and a salad. Soooo much food for 2 adults and 3 kids. The crust was just like all other reviews, it was sooooo tasty, words can't describe it!!! What a great chew. The first bite to the final bite was remarkable! Will be back, we've got a favorite place now! read more

The beer and food was great. We ordered all four specialty pizzas. Cap'n Kens Popper was my favorite. It was flavorful and spicy. You have to order at the front which is a little bit of a drawback, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The music is a bit loud, but the mix was great. read more

We heard good things about the pizza and happened to be in the area and decided to stop in. We tried the pepperoni and sausage and the sausage with ricotta. The set up is different. You order your food just as you walk in and the drinks are order separately at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pizza was hot and fresh when they brought it out to us but the crust quickly got soggy which was not great. I can see this is a brewery first and a pizza place last. We did not try the beer but everyone around was enjoying theirs. read more

At Goat and Ram, our fame comes from two things: our unforgettable crust and our inventive approach to pizza. The menu always includes the beloved classics – like cheese and pep & sausage – but for those craving something different, our specialty pizzas offer a fresh dose of creativity every 2 weeks.

History

Established in 2023.

The heart of Goat and Ram beats with the passion of its founders: Dan (the Goat) and his wife Morgan (the Ram). Their adventure began with a pivotal Christmas gift — an artisanal pizza book from Morgan. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into an obsession. Leaning on his decade of experience in the culinary field, Dan spent 3 years and hundreds of iterations perfecting the crust he wanted people to experience. Once the dough was finally perfected, they bought a tiny 2 deck wood fired oven, borrowed a toy hauler from Uncle Junk, loaded it up with dough and went for it. After a couple years of doing pop-up events, the need for a traditional food truck was obvious. With more pizza came more demand and the space on the truck just wasn’t enough to keep up. In 2023 they opened a brick and mortar in a shared space concept with their friends at Phantom Fox Brewery in downtown Mesa. It’s the perfect match – pizza and beer.

One thing to note is that there isn't traditional table service; you order your drinks at one counter and your food at another. It's a bit unconventional, but it adds to the relaxed vibe of the place. While the appetizer selection could be larger, the hummus dip with cucumbers and carrots was a delightful starter. However, I do wish they offered non-cold dips for the pizzas, as all the sauces, including those on the pizzas, were served cold. I must admit, I couldn't locate this place until I pulled the Yelp app and noticed that it was tucked away inside the Phantom Fox. After driving around aimlessly, I finally parked and decided to explore on foot. It was then that I found this hidden gem. The vibe was laid back, and the best part was it wasn't packed with people. I ordered the $16 cheese pizza, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight when I savored it at home. The crust was perfectly fresh, and they were cheesy and satisfying.
