AMAZING pizza. Finally stopped by Goat and Ram after visiting the natural history museum nearby. They have rotating pizza specials. The DIRT CANDY PIZZA was like all of my fave ingredients on a pizza--goat cheese, beets, hot honey, pesto, and I added sausage too. The crust was great. The space itself is a family-friendly restaurant/brewery with tons of seating, TVs, and they even have shuffleboard. Their neighbor has a whole list of craft beers. Good vibes overall and the service was very friendly.

This place has unique pizza combinations all the time and they don't repeat the flavors. The pizza is absolutely incredible and so full of flavor. We have been there and handful of times and have never been disappointed. The location is perfect in downtown Mesa. This is a must try.

    Freak of the week

Pizza shop inside a brewery. Open seating with a bar to order drinks and a walk up counter to order pizza. Options are limited but the options were pretty unique. We tried the freak of the week (without jalapeño) and I really enjoyed it. It's definitely a hearty stick to your ribs kind of pizza that goes great with a beer. It was a busy Friday night, but the wait wasn't unreasonable. The service was very good and everyone was very nice. Overall a cool place to hang out and we would go back.

I honestly thought the pizza was super greasy, but the dessert was amazing! I didn't love having to order beer and food separately, but I understand it's two different businesses. Also, the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable. Loved the beer selection though and everyone was friendly!

If you're in downtown Mesa and you're looking to grab a bite to eat and maybe have a drink or two, you should consider swinging by Goat and Ram This spot has all the small batch brewery vibes, but is also a very popular pizza parlor. Located on the main drag of downtown Mesa you can eat inside or on the patio. There aren't servers, instead, you order at the front desk. The menu has a variety of options, mostly pizza (both classics and signature pies). There is also a bar area where you can grab a pint or two of local brews The interior was electric with people enjoying pizza, locations, watching the Olympics, and just unwinding for the day. We ordered a salad and a couple of pizzas. The salad came out first, and the pizzas weren't far behind Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob, the pizza was fine. It wasn't overly flavorful, and it didn't blow me away, but it also didn't disappoint. The salad was LOADED with toppings, and I was somewhat impressed there. Unfortunately, polling the group, the beer was slightly lackluster. But again, this spot is a fun vibe and is great if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy a brewery/pizza parlor type atmosphere Some tips: When you're done with your drinks and meal consider walking down the Main Street and stopping by one of their many bars, museums, and other eateries There isn't a lot of parking off the main drag, but we were fortunate enough to find parking on a few different occasions Cheers!

Absolutely amazing! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. The carnitas pizza is life changing and the crust, even though it's thicker is so light and airy! 10/10 definitely recommend!

Wow. This place has amazing pizza! Came here with my family and we all agreed it's some of the best pizza we've had in a long time, from the dough to the perfectly cooked crust. We tried the pepperoni & sausage and the white P&S pizza, and both were insanely delicious. The pizza was both thick and light at the same time. We also ordered the house salad and... bomb is the only word. That spicy Italian dressing was straight fire! So good that we tried to get the recipe, but they keep it under lock and key. Can't blame them. BUT, they might package and sell it sometime in the near future. Highly recommend checking this spot out. It's located in downtown Mesa, so there's no parking right out front, but plenty nearby with a short walk. You order at the bar/front (no table service), but everything comes out fresh and fast. Clean space, good vibes, and food that absolutely delivers.

    Green + White

Pretty good little spot for pizza in DT Mesa. I met a group of friends to catch up. Good amount of seating and lots of drink options, if that's what you go for. I ordered the green + white which was a pesto pizza woth garlic and mozz. To my surprise, the garlic was raw. To be honest, I can't remember if this was specified on the menu or not but maybe a quick roast wouldn't hurt because raw garlic just steals the flavor show. I kept leftovers and reheated this the next day which made the cheese meltier and garlic more bearable. My friends got a pizza with maybe a shredded pork and chipotle raspberry sauce, plus pickled jalapenos. That was a flavor explosion and a really good balance of sweet and spicy. Overall pizzas were good and I would come back to check out new flavors.

    Hummus - wildly good!

SO GOOD - just come here and order everything. I was here recently to meet a friend for dinner, and walking, it was definitely busy! They are sharing space with a brewery so when you order it will be right at the entrance on your right! We decided to share a pizza and got it half Pepperoni/Sausage and Bulgogi/Mushroom. We also shared the hummus appetizer! We were talking hot gossip and updating each other on the drama of our lives but it was really hard with HOW GOOD EVERYTHING IS. We literally had to take a break from talking to just enjoy the food. The hummus was actually really good, the pita was flaky, and vegetables were crisp! Pizza: OMG - I was a little upset we decided to split a pie because I would have gladly been greedy lol

Can pizza be a spiritual experience? I say yes lol. We aren't drinkers, but Goat and Ram is in the same space as a brewery. The space was large and had a very cool vibe. You had me at 2000s indie. I haven't had pizza in MONTHS. It's started making me not feel well. Unfortunately, it's one of my partners favorite foods. Before our vacation ended I wanted to find a pizza spot for us to have lunch. It's like I was touched by an Angel girl. Immediately upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner, who asked if we had ever been in. They gave us the rundown of their smaller menu and how everything is made by them (crust, the croutons on their salad is made from bread they made). I'm such a believer in doing a few things really well, and this place knocked my socks off. Not only fantastic, but also the first time pizza has not made me ill in months and months. The care they take for the ingredients and prep really shows. We shared the pepperoni and sausage and added the caramelized onions from another menu item. SO. GOOD. Just the right amount of everything. The cheese, the sauce, the meat, THE CRUST. Omg. Don't skip the cherry pepper jam. If they bottled and sold it I would put that shh on everything. 1000/10 thank you so much!

Yummy drinks. "Better than you ex" on the left and a hazy beer on the right.

I have been hearing great things about this bar for over a year. We finally tried it and we were not disappointed. The bar has a fun atmosphere. The bartender treated my husband to a free birthday beer. The pizza and drinks were great. Another great addition to downtown Mesa!

I'll keep it short and sweet-- this pizza is incredibly good. Goat & Ram used to be a food truck. I would usually see them in front of Chupacabra. Now they are a permanent part of Phantom Fox. I enjoy the rotating pizza flavors and have enjoyed it every single time. I really like their cheesy bread and hummus also. So good.

This visit was even better than the last. The cheese blend with the dollops of ricotta were so good. The dough is really what sets this pizza apart. It's so light and airy. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The best of everything in my opinion. Ordered online and walked down the street to pick it up. It was ready the minute I walked in. It's always a struggle not to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. I lost the battle this time lol.

Had high hopes for this, but the pizza simply didn't hold up well. None of our three selections were good enough to bring us back.

Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.
