I have been a loyal instagram follower of Goat and Ram for ages but today was the first time I actually tried it! It's inside of a brewery hut very easy to find, it says goat and ram on the window. Service was great, they were accommodating for our baby! We sat on the patio and it was nice! You order at the counter then they bring it to you. I got a potato and leek pizza, my husband got cheese with no ricotta, and we shared cheese toast. It was a lot of food, we had a bunch left over! I also got hot honey and ranch, both very yummy additions to the pizza. The crust was the best part for sure. Good quality ingredients and we were happy with our food! read more

The food was delicious. We got the hummus and a pizza that was half cheese half pepperoni and sausage and it was delicious. The pita bread was insanely good. Hummus definitely has a kick to it. Food came out quick and the guy was super nice. The outdoor seating was well lit and not too loud, perfect for me and my buddies. My sister and I ordered the sausage and pepperoni pizza. It was AMAZING. The flavor profile just kept building. The sausage was sliced instead of a free form piece of sausage, but it was still amazing. You could see a piece of fennel seed in the slice which gave it so much flavor along with the pepperoni. The crust was thin at center and then built up to a puff on the rim that was so flaky like a croissant. The crust just kept building to the flavor profile. When we placed our order, I asked the employee to explain their sauces. She described them all and then said the cherry hot pepper sauce was her favorite. The sauce put the pizza to the next level. If you like crushed pepper seeds on your pizza, this sauce is a must and so much better with fresh peppers. The employees were super friendly and explained everything and answered all our questions as first time visitors. They all worked together and impressed on us that they enjoyed working there. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. The sunshades could be bigger to put out more shade, but that was all forgotten with the first bite of pizza. I will definitely return. I will be attempting to copy the cherry hot pepper jam, so yummy. read more

I again found myself with a few hours to kill in downtown Mesa, which has gotten pleasantly hip. Goat & Ram is inside Phantom Fox Brewing Co. After a bit of a struggle to find parking, I walked into the bar. FYI, order food at the counter by the window. Order drinks at the bar. I got a cheese pizza and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. It wasn't--10 tops. I used the time to get a water at the bar and have Jake go over the water station at the back of the bar and the location of the bathrooms. I love a good informational tour of a new spot. I was also very pleasantly surprised that they carry Athletic NA beers so I ordered one of those. Phantom fox has a good sized patio on Main Street. I took my number and sat outside for some people watching. There were a surprising number of young families on the patio. It kind of reminded me of the brewery vibe in San Diego. So the pizza--the crust is amazing. Very chewy They're big enough for two people making the $17 price point very reasonable. There was something about the sauce that smelled and tasted a bit like BBQ sauce that I didn't love. I wanted to love it because the crust was so good but it was just not for me. I would still come back for the vibe and the crust and I'll bring my kids next time. read more

Tried this pizza spot as I was out here for a work trip. First, everyone was super friendly, from the guy who took our order to the woman who helped out with beer recs. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and the chicken shawarma pizza. Both were fantastic. You know the pizza is good when the crust is excellent. The chicken one was really interesting, I highly recommend when if you love garlic. We sat outdoors on the patio which was lovely because of the weather. They have ample seating inside and outside. I'm very picky so when I found that they have odd flavors and change them I thought I was done for. I checked it out and they had pepperoncini cream cheese on a pizza (two of my favorite things) shit slapped! The thing that got me coming back before the end of my 4day trip (yeah it was THAT good) was the jalapeño hummus. AMAZING. I wish I could ship it home. Their flat bread is so warm and fresh. I can't wait to go back just for that! The service was good. You walk up and order and then the server brings you your order. BEASTED! Honestly, kind of expensive for what it was here. We didn't drink just ate pizza and had some sodas. Also really loud in here, but were playing good music at least. The pizza was good and I was able to take some slices home to finish. The habanero honey I ordered on the side saved the day, that was so good. My favorite pizza spot in Mesa. The rotating menu and staple items are all great. Best crust, hands down! Get the hummus, which has a little spice, fluffy/chewy pita and always crunchy veggies, def recommend. Never had a pizza here I did not like: Jalapeño popper, pepperoni & sausage, choking goats....everything is delicious. It can get really busy on the weekends, sometimes with a line out the door. The perk is that it is in inside the Phantom Fox so you can grab a beer while you wait and watch a game. read more

Pizza was delicious. Salad was just okay- iceberg lettuce with some stuff on top. The spicy Italian dressing was really good. Staff at both food counter and bar were super friendly. I'm not a fan of going out to eat and having to go to one place for food and another for drinks. Going out is a luxury and when I do go out I want to relax. Everything about the food, service and vibe hits ALL the high notes. I was just trying to find a great pizza because I was less than thrilled about another that I had a few days ago. I ordered the pepperoni and sausage and a side salad. The side salad is easily enough for two people . Great ingredients. The Pizza was the bomb. The crust is not describable. Soft, not chewy, the pizza was wonderful. But I had another find. I ordered a cider called the apple pie. It tastes like apple pie. They rotate the ciders and I was fortunate to get this one. Ahhhh. This may be the best pizza crust I have had in Arizona. You can eat the pizza without the toppings falling off on first bite. The sauce had a smoked flavor which is different. We heard good things about the pizza and happened to be in the area and decided to stop in. We tried the pepperoni and sausage and the sausage with ricotta. The set up is different. You order your food just as you walk in and the drinks are order separately at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The pizza was hot and fresh when they brought it out to us but the crust quickly got soggy which was not great. I can see this is a brewery first and a pizza place last. We happened to be down the street with our friends at the IDEA museum and worked up our appetites for lunch. I checked out food near me and came across the pizza shop Goat and Ram. After looking at their website with delectable, mouthwatering looking pizzas, we decided to try it out. It wasn't too hard to find being that the restaurant shares their space with Phantom Fox brewery. We ordered a cheese pizza and pepperoni with sausage, a hummus platter and a salad. Soooo much food for 2 adults and 3 kids. The crust was just like all other reviews, it was sooooo tasty, words can't describe it!!! What a great chew. The first bite to the final bite was remarkable! At Goat and Ram, our fame comes from two things: our unforgettable crust and our inventive approach to pizza. The menu always includes the beloved classics – like cheese and pep & sausage – but for those craving something different, our specialty pizzas offer a fresh dose of creativity every 2 weeks.

History

Established in 2023.

The heart of Goat and Ram beats with the passion of its founders: Dan (the Goat) and his wife Morgan (the Ram). Their adventure began with a pivotal Christmas gift — an artisanal pizza book from Morgan. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into an obsession. Leaning on his decade of experience in the culinary field, Dan spent 3 years and hundreds of iterations perfecting the crust he wanted people to experience. Once the dough was finally perfected, they bought a tiny 2 deck wood fired oven, borrowed a toy hauler from Uncle Junk, loaded it up with dough and went for it. After a couple years of doing pop-up events, the need for a traditional food truck was obvious. With more pizza came more demand and the space on the truck just wasn’t enough to keep up. In 2023 they opened a brick and mortar in a shared space concept with their friends at Phantom Fox Brewery in downtown Mesa. It’s the perfect match – pizza and beer.

I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

I must admit, I couldn't locate this place until I pulled the Yelp app and noticed that it was tucked away inside the Phantom Fox. After driving around aimlessly, I finally parked and decided to explore on foot. It was then that I found this hidden gem. The vibe was laid back, and the best part was it wasn't packed with people. I ordered the $16 cheese pizza, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight when I savored it at home. The crust was perfectly fresh, and they were cheesy and satisfying.
