Cute spot for brunch on State with indoor and outdoor seating. It took ages before we were served water and refills were nonexistent. The waitress said that someone would come around to serve us water but it was not consistent . I had a great burger and an amazing pistachio latte however.

It was a hot Labor Day brunch hour and they were able to seat us in 15 minutes. Great location, just a short walk to the beach while we waited. We were sat inside. However sound echoed and made for a noisy breakfast. The food itself was delicious and the mimosas refreshing.

Had a great breakfast here it was extremely busy but the breakfast and coffee hit the spot. Our server Robin did a great job, they were understaffed so there was a little bit of a wait but food was good customer service was great & cute environment with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great location to grab a bite on the way to our from the train station. Menu offers a good variety of protein meals, salads and pastries. You can order to go at the counter or sit down inside or on their patio. The hostess and wait staff are friendly and the place is clean. 4/5 stars because no one came to take my order until the hostess noticed and alerted the waiter, he brought me a latte instead of the OJ I ordered, never offered water and I had to ask the hostess to get my check and a to go box as the waiter never came back to check on me. This time I got the protein fritatta which I recommend (see pic) with a side of bacon.

They have healthy and delicious options here for vegetarians like the vegetarian spaghetti and hummus plate . The spaghetti is really flavorful and doesn't need any add ons . They also have cute alcoholic drink options for a group of friends . They served water immediately without asking which seems rare nowadays at many restaurants . They have outdoor and indoor seating . If the weather is good the outside option is great . They also sell desserts and coffee which is a great option at the end of the meal .

After a retreatful Sunday in Santa Barbara, we stopped by Goat Tree. The vibe was peaceful, clean, quiet, and perfect for conversation.service was great helped us get our order to-go and tried both the club sandwich and the ahi tuna sandwich. The club was fantastic thick bacon, ripe tomatoes, and creamy avocado on sourdough. The tuna sandwich was equally delicious seared ahi, fresh avocado, and a flavorful aioli. We topped it off with a jumbo chocolate chip cookie from their tempting pastry case. Next time, we'll definitely return for brunch

Came here for my friend's birthday and it did NOT disappoint. The croissant? 10/10. Flaky, buttery, melts in your mouth... like wow. We took a couple shots to celebrate and the whole vibe just felt right. Super cute spot, great energy, and the service was on point. Perfect for a chill celebration or cute catch-up. Will absolutely be back.

This maybe a first. A review of a place we didn't eat at. We were doing a wine tasting at the Society in the Hotel Californian and ordered a charcuterie board. At one point the hostess at the winery said she was going to check on our board order. I didn't see where she went but a few moments later saw her crossing the street with our board order. When asked where she went she told us that Goat Tree makes their boards for them. Had to be one of the best boards we've ordered at a winery. It had a little of everything and was freshly put together on order. If you're at the Society order one of the Goats boards. You won't be sorry.

Stopped in for coffee and a cookie. I think it's part of Hotel California which is nice. There's a cafe on one side where it offers the hot drinks and baked goods. And then you have the restaurant where both inside and outside patio seating. Beautifully decorated which enhances the whole place. Open vibe, perfect beachy experience. Didn't have a meal on site but have had numerous plates delivered to the tasting room across the street. Coffee, basic but good. They did have a good selections on the baked goods and pastries. Don't know if it's made on site or delivered from Somewhere else but the cookie was excellent. White chocolate with blueberry. Nice and chunky and perfect.

Burger week burger. As good as 3rd window.

I was ok with passing this for burger week bc 3rd window has the best smash burger, but since their burger week burger was delicious last year, we decided to try it again (diff burger this year). The angus beef patty had a nice meaty flavor and it had a really nice cheese pull. The caramelized onion and bread and butter pickle added a little sweetness to it. This burger is as good as 3rd window and I highly recommend trying it out!

Today we decided to head to the zoo and wanted to get a bite to eat before we went. The Goat Tree is a must visit! Service was amazing as Juan our waiter handled us with care, and was very friendly, and lots of fun. The food was prepared with care and everything tasted very good. We were seated outside and enjoyed people watching while eating our meal. Thank you GOAT Tree! We will be back.

THIS PLACE NEEDS EMERGENCY SURGERY! 20+ Minutes to get a cup of lousy coffee 10 Minutes to get extra cream Hot food not served hot Terrible service $70 for 2 people FOR BREAKFAST!!! #ripoff There's a reason there is no wait, everyone goes to Jennines, it's worth the wait!

The Goat Tree, in Santa Barbara, is one of my favorite places to start, or finish my train ride to or from the San Fernando Valley. They have spectacular desserts and generally, before I catch the train back, I try to stop here after having lunch somewhere else, for a pastry to sweeten my tooth and go back home. But sometimes, if I have more time, I stop here for a sweet breakfast, which would also be a pastry or fruit, maybe a croissant. This place is amazing, every time I come here the selections are different. How can that be? The pastry chef has to be brilliant. As you know, the Goat Tree, is attached to, The Californian, a very high end hotel on State Street in Santa Barbara. Wish I had the bucks to stay here sometime, savor the in house dining . Oh well, hopefully on another day, or more realistically, in another life.

As soon as I walked in, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful display of desserts. They have a huge selection of croissants, cookies, tarts, cakes, mini cheesecakes, and so much more--and everything is just as wonderful to look at as it is to eat. Even though I originally came here for the French omelet, there was no way I was leaving without trying some of the pastries. So I ended up getting the salted chocolate chip cookie and the lemon & raspberry tart, and I absolutely loved both! The salted chocolate chip cookie was soft and chewy in the center with just a slight crunch around the edges. The salt sprinkled on top really enhanced the chocolate flavor and gave it that perfect sweet-and-salty balance. But the lemon & raspberry tart was what I would call a nearly perfect dessert. It had just the right amount of tartness from the lemon and raspberry, while the light, fluffy meringue on top balanced everything out beautifully. Now for the savory food! I was so sure I was going to order the French omelet, but for some reason, the Blue Crab Crepe was calling my name. So I decided to go with that along with the Veggie Quiche, and I have absolutely no regrets about either choice. The Blue Crab Crepe came with two crepes generously stuffed with fresh-tasting blue crab and topped with lemon hollandaise and chives. The Veggie Quiche does take a little longer to come out, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Mine came with sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, and basil, and it was delicious. The breakfast entrées also come with your choice of house potatoes, fruit, or a side salad. One thing to note: you order everything at the counter first before finding yourself a seat, and there is also a self-serve water station. From the beautiful décor and relaxed café vibes to the sweet AND savory food, I loved everything about this place. I originally came in searching for a French omelet and somehow left without even ordering one--which I guess just gives me the perfect excuse to come back!
