I hadn't been here in a while and I had forgotten why! I needed to get in and out somewhere and could not drive any further than this place but I learned my lesson. 1. If you're looking for a salon following covid procedures do not go here! -6 ft not provided between customers, they accepted every person that walked in even when it started to get crowded - staff member's wearing masks under their noses - staff not wearing gloves -no sanitation between customers. The dryer was used on my hands, and put away into a cupboard without being wiped. The quality was sub par. The woman was speeding through my nails so fast she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. I asked for short nails but the woman filed down my nails so short that she left the tops of my fingers raw and red. When I told her that it was cut, she didn't understand and tried to file down more! I type on the computer all day for my job and my fingers hurt so bad I can barely type. read more

I called ahead on a weekday to ensure they could take me in for a pedicure. I should have looked at the reviews!!! The nail tech seemed bothered to be doing my pedicure. Then, I was offered a manicure, which I didn't expect to have time for. Well I accepted, and I was not able to even tap my ear bud to answer an important call. This tech felt the need to reach for MY HAND AND PULL IT BACK UNDER THE LAMP. Then, I communicated to her how awful it is to grab at an adult, without warning. She could have verbally asked me not to reach for my phone, but she chose to grab at my body. She proceeded to get angry bc I needed to remove an airbud to speak to her. Then, she was trying to hold down my hands and not allow me to use my phone. This is unprofessional, rude and intimidating on so many levels I was physically triggered as a SA survivor. I would not be surprised if anyone else has had a similar experience. Again, consent matters in all areas of life when working with humans! I noticed after viewing the Yelp page the owner was on site working 1 chair over and did nothing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Other problematic things seen: Don't greet customers upon arrival, don't price up front, don't provide copy of receipts ( even after requesting one) I paid $89 for a gel mani and pedi. I just walked out of this place after being calling "A Bitch" because I didn't choose the color quickly. Came in for a nails set and the person who attended me showed right away that she was mad. Didn't even say hi or anything. I showed her what I wanted (a French color set, super easy ) and I picked the tip nail color and she asked for the other color (that usually is a color that matches your own nail and they pick it up for you), told her I didn't know I needed to also pick it, she was making faces and clearly pissed off, I tomd her that she didn't need to be mad and she responded: "AND YOU DONT NEED TO BE A BITCH ". Took my stuff and walked out because nobody with that attitude deserves to have a customer, and also nobody deserves to be treated that bad after just being friendly and patient. My mom sister and I had a terrible experience here. We each got a full set and pedicures. We can agree that the pedicures were standard however when it came to our sets it all went down hill. My acrylic was laid over my cuticles, not shaped right- on top of that they use dirty drill bits and had cut and burned me and the guy kept looking at me as if it was my fault. My mom who want acrylic was given gel x nails and changed for the same labor as acrylic and then to top it off the paint job was just terrible. Let me just say do not get French tip here. Part of the problem is that they try to do everything all at once - you cannot relax or pay attention to what's being done to your nails. The other part might just be bad customer service- and a language barrier. Please do not come here. read more

Looks nice from the outside & inside. I made appointment for pedicure only. The woman who was my pedicurist was still working with a lady next to me when I sat down. No problem. Then, she scooted her stool to me and began working on my feet with the same equipment she used for the woman before me! I asked her if she could get clean new equipment and nail files, but she didn't understand what I was asking her. Basic hygiene was lacking. The pedicurist seemed rushed by trying to do two customers at once. Not a good experience for customers, especially knowing that fungus, bacteria & general funk grows on dirty equipment. Nail salons, please, please take care of your clients by using sterilized equipment for each client. Educating salon staff on health & safety standards is good for business, I promise! read more

I walked in and had my acrylics removed for $15 + tip. I really hate leaving any kind of disparaging Yelp review so I'm reticent to say anything. But this was the most I've personally ever paid to have any kind of nail removed (acyrlic, gel, gel extension) and after waiting a week there is still damage to my nails. I only get my nails done a handful of times per year for special occasions, so my nails are typically pretty strong. But after having my acrylics removed here, one of my natural nails had a slice cut into it (that later resulted in a broken nail), there are a lot of curved indented lines from the file, and I'm still finding bits of adhesive from the acrylics on my nails. read more

I'M SO DISAPPOINTED! I wanted to love this place and my first time experience with them was so unsatisfying from start to finish. I made an appointment and when I walked in, no one greeted me. I had to make it known that I had an appointment. When I was asked what I wanted the only person who could do a design was busy and I was asked to come back the next day. There's no point in an appointment if I already drove there and made it on time. No one started on my nails until after I have been waiting an hour!! Honestly I feel like I was COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I've never heard of paying $80 for a new set and little bit of paint for a French tip style with two stickers in all my years of getting my nails done and it's not like it's a clean job. The first experience was great, Hannah did a wonderful job and so did Ethan. The second experience was mediocre, I brought a guest and it just wasn't the same as the first time. We were charged more for the same thing, one of us not getting polish. This last experience , it will be the LAST! The girl who did my nails, Ann- was extremely rough, she was rude and she cut my cuticles in many different areas, making them bleed. Not one "oops, or "sorry". I asked for a simple tiny design. I was never quoted a price different than what I was used to being charged. I had a regular pedicure, and a gel manicure, no fancy design, the total was $158! That was more than I was used to paying so I asked for a breakdown and I was told that they had to repair my nails (which was untrue), & that I was charged $17 for design. I felt like I should have gotten credited for the five cuticle injuries, but I don't think she cared. The girl who did the pedicure, Jenny, rushed through it. The nails were different colors. She forgot top coat. In the first visit, Ethan was the best, and no one compares, best pedicure ever. It's a shame because I really liked getting a pedicure here, but now that I know that they take advantage of people and have no shame, I will never be back. read more

I asked for a spa pedicure and the lady seemed irritated I got the basic. I also got a manicure (just a basic one). The paint job is terrible! I cannot believe this is how they painted my nails. She finished the pedicure and manicure in less than 45 minutes and when it came time for lotion she put it on her hands and basically wiped my legs once. Their prices are also quite high compared to other places I've been. Especially for the poor quality of their work. Very unhappy and will not go back. read more

I hate to do this but the service was so bad. I had a dip manicure today from a gentleman wearing stud diamond earrings. He cut my skin with the electric filer. He kept hitting my proximal nail fold (nail mantle) with the electric file and it was very painful. The entire service was painful and I told him that he was filing my skin. I've been here 3 times and I won't be coming again. I highly recommend training your employees especially if the employee has not received the service themselves, they are unaware the amount of pain they are causing. read more

I cannot give this salon 5 stars. 11/19 was my first day back to a salon since the pandemic. Wanted to treat myself to a pedicure & nails for my upcoming vacation. I was first thrown off that you cannot tip on a credit card (although when you pay by credit card it asks if you want to add a tip?? What??). Any how, I got a sweet girl who did an excellent job on my feet. At the same time, I had a girl do my dip nails. You have to pay an additional $6 to remove your current dip nails (I did my own during lockdown) so I agreed. However, they don't take the nails off, they make you do it yourself. So you're paying $6 for their remover & you have to take them off yourself. Deduct a star for that. Back to my nails, the girl who did my dip did not allow them to dry & they were flimsy & bendable. She never smoothed them out either - they looked horrible - like it was her first time. I wanted to deduct 3 stars for her, but I'm only deducting 1 star. It wasn't the salon, it was their nail tech. All staff came over & agreed they looked bad. So she had me take the nails off that she put on so that another tech can redo them. I had a young girl, believe her name was Stephanie, and she did a beautiful job. I was so not impressed with the first tech. She was blaming it on me & not on the fact she did not know how to apply dip nails. I spent over 3 hours there. It would have been nice for the salon to offer a discount to keep my business due to their under experienced nail tech. But they didn't. I may come back, but will definitely take my nails off at home & save $6. read more

I came into the shop to get a full set before a trip and the woman that was suppose to do my service was probably upset that she had to do my nails because it seemed she wanted to go home . She clipped off my acrylics and was handing my hands aggressively. She was also slamming things down and yelling across the room. I was very uncomfortable so I decided to get up and discontinue the service. When I requested to stop she was out of the shop and in her car before I even left the salon. Walked in mid-week for an afternoon appointment. No other customers in salon, couple employees sitting toward back. I asked for a pedi and after a few minutes of loud chatter among the employees, one woman signaled me to a chair. Looking at the menu options, first impression was prices were on the higher side compared to many other salons I have visited. The basic pedi with callus removal was my choice. Overall, service was decent, technician was not gently with cutting my nails and cuticles, made me nervous at times. Also, not sure if this is new practice for all salons but she did not use cuticle softener prior to cutting my cuticle nor any lotion nor oil after the scrub. Polish looks alright, few small unpainted edges along sides of nails, hoping polish does not crack. Overall, my experience was okay, will likely not return. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The nail salon stations are dirty and gross. The nail files, drills and everything else are not changed out or cleaned in between customers. I saw the worker pour back the monomer that she has used to do my friends nails back into the bottle! I paid 71$ for short french tip nails that were dip powder. The nails look awful and they were making up prices. 8$ extra for the shape and 8$ extra for the french tip. I asked the man who was doing my nails nicely if he could make my nails a little sharper and he make fun of me as well as everyone else's in Vietnamese. I would only recommend this place if you want to be overcharged and hate your nails. I will not be going back and no one else should! read more

In the past, I've had better experiences however today was absolutely terrible! I came in for a pedi and mani. I requested a French tip for my pedi. The gal that was assisting me was unable to shape my toe nails straight. When she applied the French tip it was noticeable my nail was uneven. I spoke up and that was my biggest mistake. The other gal came over and corrected her work. The original gal that was assisting me was so upset she pushed two chairs and spoke angrily in her native language. Ugh! I was so uncomfortable and upset. I told the manager she should act professionally. I ended up choosing to end my nail session. I'll never return. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! We called ahead of time, around 6:45p, and they said they will be available to do 2 pedicures. We arrived and sat down immediately (7:10), they closed at 8pm. There was the main lady rushing around, we had our feet in the water then after about 30-45min. The water was cold and I mentioned it to the person. She then used a bucket to pour water out then turned the faucet on. It was scorching hot. I told her it was too hot. She got upset and was trying to argue with me. This person was rushing, angry and she got blood out when she started to do my toes. It was PAINFUL, she didn't apologize or stop. I had to tell her that I did not want to continue and she was not listening to me.It was a terrible experience and not how I wanted to spend my birthday evening. read more

If I could give this place a zero or negative I would. I don't understand how nail techs can demand higher price and have no consistency! I had to go to this place twice in one week and got charged both times. Not to mention I called ahead for an appointment and failed to tell me they no longer take card. So what you just assume customers have cash? What gets me more upset is the other place in Twin oaks were so nice. The reason I'm going out of my way to write because the owner should know that their employees should never lack customer service. My last appointment sent me through the roof it was a younger girl who said her name is teresa, which later I found out it wasn't because I over heard her and the staff making fun of our whole conversation. Because they thought I didn't know the language! At least wait until I was gone, very unprofessional and I definitely did not appreciate it. Teresa was so rude when she did my nail very passive aggressive. Where are your manners! Even though I didn't mind paying for my second visit within that week she deliberately globed on the nail polish because I refuse to get gel. And told me to be careful. I literally moved and they got messed up. I asked her to please fix it- she got an attitude and told me, "I told you to be careful!" Like if she was my mother. Little girl I'm older than you! I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years I know exactly when someone is bullshitting the job.
