I finally decided to check out Kingdom Buffet after seeing it all over TikTok, and I'm glad I did. They opened in January this year, so they are still pretty new. The restaurant is very clean and spacious, with tons of options including meats, rice, noodles, fresh fruit, seafood, sushi, a hibachi station, pizza, and more. It is definitely comparable to Royal Buffet, which used to be in Manchester,CT. If you know, you know. The highlight was crab legs, crawfish, and whole crab. You really cannot go wrong with that. The food was seasoned well and fresh, and they were constantly bringing out new trays. The staff were attentive, and everything stayed stocked. The only downside for me was the butter served with the crab legs. It tasted off and was almost inedible. All in all, I enjoyed it and will definitely go back.

Family adventures My kid found this place on TikTok and we decided to try it out. It was good but with average buffet flavors. The food variety was good, I went straight for the sushi and I liked it. , the only thing was it lacked of salad options . The only thing we didn't try was the hibachi station but that will be on our next trip. I was impressed with the cleanliness that had a A+ including the bathroom was spotless. And the waitress was friendly and attentive that also had an A . Until our next visit.

I was very impressed with this buffet since we don't have any good Chinese buffet around us in CT. Since this buffet is new, everything is new, clean, and food and good at the moment. I hope they do not slip and reduce the quality of food. They have soups, dumplings, Chinese food, fried apps, American food, habachi, sushi, and decent amount of seafood for dinner. They also had fruits and salad. I was extremely happy to see the yellow dragonfruit. I ate a ton! Besides the fruits for dessert there's cup ice cream cookies, and some bakery goods. I def will be back again. I wasn't disappointed and imperial has competition. They might close down being near kingdom buffet in my opinion

At 4PM on Super Bowl Sunday I was shocked to see Kingdom Buffet so packed. And I'm talking multiple parties of 10-20 people walking in, with birthday balloons and Valentine's flowers and such. It was an equal shock to be seated so quickly and have our drink orders taken (but the server indignantly protested my request for "free" soda when I had actually requested "three" for our table). Anyway... The food was fine, but the prices were high for a buffet. The sushi and sashimi were the standouts for me while everything else was typical buffet fare. On this bone chilling day I would have loved some soup, but I didn't see any. The lines were definitely a hindrance, though, so I probably missed a lot because I didn't want to stand in the hibachi line or wait for the comically tiny crab legs to be refilled. Maybe I'll go back in a few months when the newness wears off and the crowds die down.

Hot food, including pizza (for the kids) and apple strudel for desert.

A nice pan-Asian offering in Newington. The buffet has items that range from Japanese sushi, to hot Chinese-American dishes as well as a to-order noodle bar, finishing with a whole dessert section with fresh fruit, jello and pastry options. The food overall is quite a bit better than normal buffet fare. Everything is hot, fresh, and filling. In some ways, I preferred the hot food to the sushi, which itself is quite good as well; obviously you can't come here expecting the same quality as a high end Japanese restaurant, but it is nevertheless quite good. The restaurant is well staffed; they are very attentive in coming by to refill drinks and clear dishes. Lunch ran in the low $20 mark for an all you can eat lunch + hot tea, which is pretty good for what you get. I'm curious to see if they're able to maintain the quality over time, or if they'll start to slide while they maximize profits. Give it a try!

3.5 stars. Went to Kingdom Buffet for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was $26.95 for adults on the weekend. I feel like it was a bit pricey but everything is nowadays. I went with my partner and it ran about $58 before tip. The place was clean and I like the spacing of the tables. The waitress was attentive and refill drinks quickly. Along with the normal buffet, they had a sushi, hibachi, and noodle area. I didn't try the make your own hibachi or noodles but the sushi was pretty good for a buffet. I did enjoy the normal Chinese American buffet. They refill it with fresh hot food quickly. Some parts of the buffet is single line so there is a bit of a wait if you're behind someone who is taking forever. You may have to jump over them if you're a bit impatient. Overall nice clean buffet just a bit pricey for people who get full quickly.

We decided to stop at Kingdom Buffet for lunch and had a good experience. The service was phenomenal, our waitress was so attentive and so friendly with our toddler. The place was huge and beautifully set up, the food area was very clean and there were some nice offerings like a sushi bar, hibachi station and noodle bar besides the regular prepared food. Everything tasted great but would have loved to see a bit more variety compared to other buffets Ive been to. Overall it was a good experience.

I went with my sister for a lunch date. They have great lunch prices and so many different foods to choose from. I had sushi, ramen, seaweed salad, edamame, lo mein, a fried plantains, sautéed green beans and more! It's very spacious with many seats. My sister enjoyed the claw machine games they have for family visitors. They even had pizza and chicken nuggets for picky kiddos. Our waitress was kind and attentive. My favorite part was all the sushi and the green beans! We also tried their desserts which were nice too. I would recommend it for groups and families.

An assortment of items such as sushi rolls, sashimi, coconut shrimp, chicken teriyaki.

Buffets are back!!! My family really enjoyed this spot. A variety of options for food as seen in the attached pic. All the servers were attentive especially when refills were needed. The place is very well lit and the walkways are really clean and the food stations were attended to regularly. The sushi chefs were making rolls as the people were grabbing all prepared ones. Definitely check it out.

The food is great. I have been here twice since Valentine's Day. It's super pleasant to be here. It's quiet to a degree. The workers are very sweet and friendly. It's also relatively affordable especially if you're in a pinch and trying to find somewhere to eat I would recommend this. They have great deals. I haven't gotten sick from the food, and that's a first for a buffet. This place is surprisingly clean. The bathrooms are clean. The tables are clean. They keep the food stations very neat and orderly. Everything has a label. A very wide selection of food. I love this place!!!! ALSO a claw machine section!!!! So cool!!!

Food was good. They had different dumplings, bao buns, sushi, sashimi, lots of shrimp, hibachi and ramen station. We went during lunch and they didn't have crab legs( I believe it's only for dinner). We paid $16 for lunch time. It was worth the price. I heard the dinner price is $30 and it's only worth it I think if you like seafood. I could be wrong. But will be returning. The inside is big and beautiful. Service was good nice and fast

Upon arrival, I noticed they added fish pellets for customers to purchase and feed the fish for .25 and that's fine for the kids. I looked around and they definitely gave more attention to cleanliness and overall vibe throughout. We were seated promptly and on our way to secure the first dish. I will say that my chicken was VERY GOOD and lathered in teriyaki sauce. The flavor came with a hint of sweetness and the chicken was plump, juicy and tender,. I sank my teeth into a few pieces and even the broccoli (though cooked and not steamed) was still good. It had hint of sauce about it. The bite came with a nice little crisp about it but we were now off to a good start at Imperial. The Spare Ribs were a bit tough on the chew, cooked longer than need be but again, the flavor was good. Had they been a bit softer, things would be better for their overall appeal. Ouch on the Salmon. It looked good when I went to scoop it up on my plate and I had great expectations here but was let down like being stood up for a prom date. The salmon was dry and I needed to wash it down immediately with my lemonade but it did look good. My boy said his Lo Mein was more like, "NO MEIN" for its flavor was lacking and the noodles were a bit overcooked. That's unfortunate but we must move on to the dessert options. Now my mini brownie was ok, soft and chewy with a decent chocolate bite to it. My chocolate chip cookie was a thick ol thang and though it was decent, it came with a strong cookie chew due to its thickness. My chocolate pudding was nasty though. I could not place the taste for it definitely was not chocolate but more of a fish sauce after taste. Perhaps the wrong added perk in this one? Who knows...... I thought my last item was cheesecake or at least that is what it had looked like but taste more like a poundcake with a cheese like element about it on top. It had a good flavor all the same. Coming to Imperial Buffet when they open is a better option if you are looking to get fresher food options that have not been sitting around forever, awaiting the people. I will be back but only when they first open for it is a better overall experience.

Overpriced. $35 for one person? OUTRAGEOUS! Not worth it at all. Don't waste your time or money.read more

It's very much like a buffett in terms of the ring out process. The foods fresh, tasty, and abundant. They are not labeled well, so some things are guesswork as to what you get. We recently moved closer and I decided to try it for a work at home lunch day. I did no research before going. It turns out that Himalaya does not presently have a dine in option, which is fine because I live nearby. I walked in to look at the menu and order. I'm not sure if the person who helped me was having an off day, or maybe he's used to regular customers ordering ahead and didn't like having to change his routine, but he was not particularly welcoming. No smile or friendly greeting. I'm fairly sure that he rolled his eyes when I went to pay with cash. I don't know who this person was relative to the restaurant, but it didn't set a good tone. I ordered from the Lunch Specials. I ordered the Chicken Saag special which came with Basmati Rice and Naan. I don't remember the exact cost, but I remember being surprised at how inexpensive it was. Everything on the Lunch Special menu was inexpensive relative to places I frequent. I was told that it would be 10 minutes. I returned around 15 minutes later and my order was ready. All of the food was at least OK to pretty good, but didn't really pop for me. I'm much more familiar with Indian restaurants than I am with Nepalese and Himalayan restaurants, but some of the dishes share names. I'm not sure if there are seasoning and other variations in Indian versus Nepalese cuisine, or if any variations are more based upon the chefs cooking the meals. In any event, Himalaya's version of both the Saag and the chicken in the Saag were different than I'm used to. I prefer the way the Saag is seasoned in my favorite Indian places in CT. I feel like the chicken in most Indian restaurants is kebab style and is cooked in a tandoori oven. Himalaya's chicken had a rougher texture and seemed like it was perhaps roasted. It was pretty good, but probably my least favorite Saag dish I've had in a while. The Basmati rice was fine. The naan was OK. The texture and flavor didn't measure up to my favorite Indian restaurants. I have multiple nearby Indian restaurants that I prefer to Himalaya. In light of that and my less than positive service experience, I'm unlikely to return to Himalaya. However, given Himalaya's strong overall rating, it's clear that others have had good experiences and maybe you'll have better luck than I did. And as I said, the lunch specials are a good value. 3 Stars
