After church this morning, I was craving blueberry pancakes, so my husband and I headed over to Gochas Breakfast Bar. I tried to join the Yelp waitlist before arriving, but that option wasn't available. Thankfully, it wasn't an issue because we were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server, Roman, was also the bartender and he was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we sat down. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and a strawberry mule. My husband ordered the blueberry pancakes, potatoes and a Cadillac margarita. Everything was delicious and those pancakes were exactly what I was hoping for. What I appreciated most was that nothing felt rushed. We were able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast with great food, tasty cocktails and exceptional service. Roman definitely helped make our morning even better. We'll absolutely be back.

My dad and I went to Gocha's Breakfast Bar off Cascade for Father's Day, and we had a fantastic time. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our server Ashanti had amazing energy, positive and attentive. When she got busy, other servers jumped right in, and the teamwork was seamless. We even told the manager, Esther, how much we appreciated the service. Great food, wonderful people, and I will definitely be back.

2nd Time: so I came for another round. The food still held its ground but the menu pricing and communication was a bit shady I'd say. So I'll run it down as it came we placed reservations at time of arrival. The hostess while efficient, her energy was dry. After we got seated we waited about 10-15 mins before we even got any acknowledgment/water. Now the waitress was cool so no complaints on her. However the service communication needs wShe took our order and made suggestions for the lemon drop! I get my drink and idk what that was but it DID NOT taste like a fresh lemon drop and the plastic glasses need an update! They look worn/overused (unpleasant sight) So my man ordered the south fulton steak and eggs, and I ordered, what inter to be the half order of krunch tastic French-toast , w/a seafood omelette. The waitress opinionated adding a cream sauce to my omelette. I said okay but she didn't mention it was an up charge. She also didn't differentiate whether I wanted a full order or half for my French toast and automatically brought the full order (4-slices vs 2) and I preferred 2. Nonetheless the food was tasty, the drink was strong but the flavor was NOT it!

Let me start by saying this is a rather unassuming location from the outside. It's in the middle of a small shopping center with plenty of free parking. Once you step inside however, it's a much more elevated experience. It's amazing how whether you were there for a bougie brunch experience (like I was), or a family meal after church, you could be accommodated. Our waitress Imani managed to keep my large group of ladies hydrated and satisfied with all of the great suggestions for our meal and appetizers. There wasn't a bad bite on the table and I would absolutely return to try more of the extensive menu. Food 5***** Service 5*****

Today was my first time eating at this establishment. Upon entering you are immediately greeted by friendly staff and good music. Our server was Ashanti and she was AMAZING!!..very attentive. We ordered salmon bites, fried green tomatoes, breakfast pizza, and shrimp and grits. All of the items were made well and taste great. So imagine how shocked I was when the manager came over upset that they served as "burnt" fried green tomatoes. Let me say we definitely couldn't tell they were burnt. I appreciate the quality control and attention to detail. That alone will bring me back!

Good food! Great experience. iI recommend. Salmon croquettes are very tasty. Espresso Martinis are good. Servers are friendly and nice. Only thing i didn't like was the bartender use the same glass to make your next drink. That's just a pet peeve of mine .

They have a large menu and I'm still making my way through it. This is the second time I visited this one. The service was good. The staff is very friendly courteous. The prices are very reasonable and the food portions are nicely sized.Or you probably will be taking some homes, so come hungry. What I didn't like is that they noted, that the serving staff get paid less than minimum wage (pay them more) and encourage you to tip 20%, and if you have a large party, or sit at the bar you'll automatically be charged.They could have left that note off of their disclaimers.I tip twenty percent in any case for service employees.

I went to Gocha's Breakfast Bar and BABY... 10/10 across the board! The fried green tomatoes with feta and lump crab? Life-changing. The Krunchtastic French toast? I almost didn't share... and I don't feel bad about it And let's talk about Lawrence--best waiter EVER! He had us laughing, checking on us, and making sure everything was perfect. At this point, he's family! Great food, great vibes, and a beautiful mission behind it all. Gocha, keep doing your thing--I'm already planning my next visit!

My dining experience at Gotcha's is usually great, but this visit was extremely disappointing. Four of us came for brunch during a busy time, so we expected a wait to be seated. However, after ordering our appetizers and entrées immediately, it took over an hour just to receive our appetizers. We understood our server was new, so we tried to be patient. Even after all that time, our drink flight still hadn't arrived. I spoke with the manager to let her know our drinks hadn't been delivered and that we had already been waiting well over an hour. As a regular customer who often brings clients to this restaurant, I expected things to improve once she was aware. Unfortunately, the situation did not get better. Two entrées were eventually brought out, but the other two were missing. At this point, we had been there over two hours and forty minutes. My son had to leave for work, and his food still hadn't been served. When I asked the manager to cancel his meal, there was suddenly a rush to bring it out but even then, the order was incorrect. What should have been a great experience introducing business partners to one of my favorite spots turned into a frustrating and embarrassing situation. It will be a long while before I return. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending or introducing anyone to this restaurant again due to the poor experience and the way it was handled.

Gorgeous interior, great friendly service, extensive menu with fantastic flavors. When they say limit your experience to 90 minutes they mean that but it truly is still enjoyable. They accommodate group of all sizes big or small and everyone is treated the same regardless of stature. I even saw the owner bussing tables and running food. Sunday brunch service is definitely popular so come prepared to wait for a table. I ordered the Grit Bowl and my partner ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Both were home run hits leaving us full and satisfied. I already know what I want to get when I come back on a weekday. In short, come in, have a great memorable service, and get out. I love It. 10/10.

Let me start with sign up ahead! Get on the waiting list ahead of time. It was a 30 minute wait. Just get on the list and check in when you arrive. This spot is popular. There is plenty free parking in the shopping center To start, there is a food truck in the parking lot. We learned that is where you place your to go orders. I found this interesting. I never heard of anyone handling their To Go orders this way. Not mad at it. It probably helps things out. Smart move! One thing I didn't like. The hostess said it was our turn and held door for us to go in. We stand there waiting. A girl walks past, wipes off a table and looks at us. Like how are we to know to follow you without verbal communication. I felt it was weird but I let it go. We walked over to seat ourselves. QR codes on table to view menu. We didn't wait too long for our waitress, Imani. A lady next to us comes often and gave several recommendations. She said everything is good there. To be honest, we were full off the appetizer Trio and salmon bites. They have quite a few appealing options on the menu. Let's start with the hot honey salmon bites. You get 5 bites on bed of greens. Those bites were really good. The Appetizer Trio let you try their French toast, chicken and waffles and their shrimp and grits with biscuit on the side. The French toast was good but needed syrup or more the drizzle that was on it. The chicken and waffle kabob with fresh fruit was good. Chicken was seasoned well. Waffle was sweet and barely needed syrup. The shrimp and grits was okay to me. It needed a tad bit more seasoning to me. Oh the biscuit had honey drizzled. Soo good. I ordered the Peach Pancakes with side chicken sausage. Both were good. They did give me a slab of butter. Lol! I was like good grief. Peaches were but tad too much cinnamon for me. It same with syrup but not needed. The peaches and juices/compote was enough. My cousin got the steak skillet with shrimp and crab. Umm, this needed some more seasoning. So the skillet had a potato base with steak and veggies then smothered with a mushroom gravy. The shrimp and crab were sprinkled on top. The gravy was good. But everything under that gravy needed to be seasoned itself. I get not doing it cause amount of gravy. However it did need the seasoning. It was bland without the gravy. The steak was okay. The shrimp and crab were good. That add on was about $20 so ask when you order. I would say sign up for inkind when you look at menu. The tab gets up there quick. You get $30 off your $90 purchase. Speaking of, what I also did not like was because the check was over $100 that the gratuity was automatically added. I get it for parties over 5 but it was 2 of us. Our waitress was sweet but needed to be more attentive. We had to ask for plates to share and check several times. I wouldn't have tip poorly but not 20%. I tip accordingly to service and food. Would I go back? The food was good for most part. The staff was okay. There are so many breakfast spots popping up in Atlanta be a minute before I circle back to this one.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Gocha's! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. Every dish we tried was a hit, and you can truly tell they take pride in what they serve. Our server Daphane, made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and so welcoming. Her energy and service really stood out and made us feel right at home. It's rare to find a place where both the food and the customer service are consistently excellent, but Gocha's truly delivers. There was a list, it was long but we were seated in a timely fashion. It was Sunday, place was packed for brunch but the staff was kind and attentive. QR code menu, boo because I just don't like them but whatever. I ordered OJ/Apple juice mix but I'm not sure that's what I got but it was good. We ordered pretty quickly and I got the salmon Benedict over fried green tomatoes and if was banging! Had a lil kick to it, I assume from the sauce but I ate every bite. My sister and her boyfriend came into town for the weekend, and after picking them up from the airport, I decided to take them to Gosha's because I had been there several times before and always enjoyed the food. I spoke highly of it and was excited for them to experience it as well. We arrived around 2:00 PM, knowing they close at 3:00 PM. While I had never visited that late before, I assumed that if the restaurant was open, the food and service would reflect the same quality I had experienced in the past. We were seated immediately with no wait and ordered grits, waffles, steak and eggs, and chicken and waffles. In the past, the chicken and waffles came with actual chicken wings, which was one of the reasons I enjoyed the dish so much. This time, however, the meal came out with chicken tenders instead. Nothing on the menu or from the server indicated the change, so it was disappointing and unexpected. Once the food arrived, I asked for butter and was told they were completely out. That meant no butter for the grits or waffles, which was disappointing and honestly surprising. Since there is a grocery store within walking distance, it felt like something that could have been resolved, or at the very least communicated upfront before ordering so we could make an informed choice. More concerning was the steak my sister ordered. It tasted old and appeared freezer burned, as though it had been sitting for quite some time. After speaking so highly of the restaurant, it was embarrassing to bring family there and have this be their experience. I rarely leave complaints because I understand that restaurants have difficult days, and I'm not someone who enjoys criticizing businesses. However, if a restaurant is open until 3:00 PM, customers should reasonably expect the same level of food quality and service regardless of whether they arrive at noon or an hour before closing. This experience was disappointing and far below what I've previously experienced at Gosha's. Our server was Rachael. read more

My husband and I came for breakfast. We weren't really impressed as the service was slow with it not being that crowded. We ordered the pancakes and the traditional fish and grits. The grits were good and creamy but the fish was so thin and overcooked it was difficult to eat. The pancakes were okay but not enough to come back. Visited Gocha's Breakfast Bar over Mother's Day weekend, and everything was outstanding. The food was hot, fresh, and came out surprisingly quickly given how busy it was. The music was nice to sing along and pat your feet while you dine. I LOVED the open kitchen!! Decor was a VIBE as well. My server, Daphane was an ABSOLUTE GEM!!! She was so helpful in helping me narrow down the choices I picked. She was so friendly. I just loved her! I went with the salmon croquettes with a side of jalapeño cheese grits , scrambled eggs with white cheddar cheese and the honey butter biscuit. Let's just say, I WILL NEVER eat here without getting an order of the SALMON CROQUETTES ! They were DELICIOUS! The jalapeño cheese grits were SINFULLY DELICIOUS!! I originally had my heart set on getting smoked oxtails, but the spot sold out before I could place an order. So, I pivoted and headed to Gocha's Breakfast Bar. Just a heads up--be prepared for a bit of a wait. I managed to grab a seat at the bar, but even that took about 15 minutes. There is a parking lot, which helps. Service at the bar was a little slow--took a while before I could put in my order. They may need a bit more help there. But once the food arrived, it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the biscuit, fried fish and grits with eggs, plus a pancake. The fish was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The pancake didn't seem fresh off the griddle, but it was still tasty--loved the touch of powdered sugar. And the biscuit? Soft and buttery. Note: there's an automatic 20% gratuity for bar seating, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, I'd recommend checking it out--just come with a little patience and a big appetite! read more

This place was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The waitress was very nice and was helpful with recommendation. They have old school music playing giving it a nice brunch vibe. Breakfast here after a heavy gym workout made my day! The food, service and bustling atmosphere were aligned with what I needed. Service from Rod is on point- coffee refilled without asking, water refilled when needed- did not have to search for him when complete, he also made sure we checked into the rewards program to get out points. The food, always freshly prepared did not take long to arrive and I am pleased with the presentation and portions. My only suggestion would be larger plates for pancakes. read more

Really great brunch spot! Service and food were great. We got the strawberry mimosas which were very good and the empanadas which were amazing. For my entree, I got the black bean energy bowl which was tasty and a big portion. Friend got the pecan waffle which I thought was amazing, the perfect waffle. She also got jalapeño cheddar grits which she liked but said were very spicy. I would definitely come back, the menu is huge so there's so much I want to try. read more

My son and I went to this restaurant yesterday morning. We had a super busy day so I didnt get a chance to post my review yesterday. I've traveled and dined at restaurants all over this country and even abroad, and despite the amazing dining experiences I've had, I seldom leave reviews. However, my experience here was very appreciated. It's graduation season so the restaurant was busy. I let our waitress, Tabitha, know that we were time-constrained. Her and the manager, whom I didn't get his name, tagged team my table to ensure the service provided was not only efficient, but great. Not to mention, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was welcoming. There are not too many places that provide this quality level of food, but still make me feel like I'm at home with family. Loved, loved, loved the food! Our server Kayla was good, but not quite as attentive as she had a large table that she was consumed with. We had to flag her down a few x's, but not a big deal. The restaurant is small and pretty tight in certain areas. The 1st table they sat us my chair was in the way and was bumped about 5 or 6x's before I asked to be reseated elsewhere. But Kayla quickly accommodated us. Fried flounder, potatoes, grits, lemon drop and Bellini were all scrumptious. Outside of the volume of the music (loud), the food was FANTASTIC! I've not paid $50 for breakfast for myself since going to Hawaii 25 years ago, but real talk, it was BANGIN'! My friend and I found this place by looking at Yelp reviews and thought we'd give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised to see every table filled when we came in on a Saturday around noon. It has a loud and fun atmosphere and you can tell everyone was having fun. Our sever Rod (maybe Ron) was top notch. Very attentive and very friendly. Good bites! I met a friend at this spot on a Saturday for lunch. Not too crowded because we missed the weekend brunch crowd. Easy to locate in the same shopping center near Publix. We were immediately seated. The waitress was very attentive. The food was flavorful and portions plentiful. The fried fish was delicious! The truffle fries didn't deserve to be called "truffle." I enjoy coming here and I had a chance to come after they newly remodeled this place and expanded the space. Very nice on the inside and it isn't tight anymore. I really like the remodel. I did a mobile order to go. And the staff is great as always. I think there may be a disconnect on the mobile order when it comes to drinks, but I've noticed only when I order through the site I have to remind them of a drink each time. I don't think that is the staff's fault. It might be a communication error. But the food is always good and fresh & that's why i keep coming back. read more

I visited on a Saturday just afternoon, we had a short wait of about 15-20 minutes before being seated. The service was quick once we got to the table. I ordered the meat lovers omelette with coffee. To add to my coffee I had hazelnut creamer, and a shot of Jameson to stir in. What's really cool about their coffee service is they bring everything in separate little containers - sugar, hazelnut sweetener; all the fixings - so you can mix it exactly how you like it. No way to mess it up! For my meal, I chose the omelette with a biscuit and I swapped the grits for potatoes. The meat in the omelette is stirred into the eggs, not folded inside. This was a bit different, but still tasty. You can add extra ingredients to your omelette, but I kept it simple. The biscuit came with some really good honey butter that made it even better. Overall, it was a great experience. Our food arrived quickly, and the food looked just like the photos on the menu - no surprises. The atmosphere was perfect with 80-90s R&B playing softly in the background. We could easily chat without the music being too loud. The manager even made the rounds to check in with every table, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a solid breakfast/brunch spot. read more

This was my first time eat here and I will say that my experience was pretty good. Our server's name was Darrius and he was very attentive and pleasant. The only draw back was the music being a little too loud. It was definitely unexpected on a Monday at 1pm. The music was blasting!!! However, I will say it was a good playlist. The pancakes here are the best I've ever had, but my recent visit disappointed me. I ordered steak with potatoes and eggs, but was served the wrong dish. When I raised it, the server said fixing it would dock his pay, which made me uncomfortable. Gocha Hawkins is the owner of this business and was inspired to open Gocha's Breakfast bar due to the lack of breakfast restaurants in her community where she has resided since July 2014 along with the issues of not having many options to support her eating life style. Gocha is a pescetarian and says she rarely find breakfast restaurants that caters to her life style. Gocha has always loved to cook and actually wanted to open a dinner restaurant back in 2005 but the market crashed so here we are 13 years later Gocha's Breakfast Bar opened its doors.

Overall, if we could give half stars, I would say 3.5 for the review, it was saved by your charcuterie server, as well as the taste and quality of the meats and cheeses, as well as the wonderful selection of wines. We will be back and hopefully, you take these comments constructively, and have your servers trained up a little more to be assets to your establishment.

Just note, parking wise, there's a tiny tiny lot, but I street parked around the corner. This area is notoriously a little harder for parking so just give yourself some extra time!

The prices are a bit high - about $4-5 for a small pour (my guess for red is about 2 oz), ~$9 for a medium pour, and ~$18 for a glass. It's a great concept though where you can try what you want but it can get pricey quick. They have different food options as well, including salads, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. We went on a Friday and they had live jazz outside which was great to listen to. It's a great spot for a date night or for a small group of friends. It can get crowded so it might not be as good for larger groups.

My husband and I visited Gocha's because of the advertisement on Fox 5 news. The camera man made it appear as if this was the place to go if you wanted good brunch food. However, he failed to mention the customer service and staff.Good food means nothing when you've waited 20 minutes to be seated 15 minutes for water,25 minutes for juice and another 20 minutes for food. I wanted to leave,but we had driven so far and I was terribly hungry.Yes, they took our temperature before entering, and the faces of staff were covered, and it was clean. But the bar was crowed shoulder to should, and no one wore a mask. The place got so packed it was hard to social distance due to COVID-19. Not to mention the restaurant was tiny as an L-shaped matchbox. I waited 25 minutes just for orange juice that was warm, and a barely warm biscuit. I was so stressed out by waiting and the crowed until I needed a shot of vodka to put into my juice. The owner apologized and stated they were understaffed, but the experience was so disappointing. We drove 35 plus miles through traffic from the far end of North Atlanta to feel as if I was in a night club at 10 am in the hood. Plus, our bill was $72.00 for shrimp & grits w/ 1 piece of fish, 3 biscuits, orange juice w/ 1 shot vodka. My husband had bacon, eggs,1 waffle w/ potatoes & water. The motive was to support an African American woman's business. But, the server did not know the menu, there were 10 plus people in a crowed kitchen & only 2 working the floor. My husband has been in food management for a luxury brand industry for 30 years and was simply stunned by the service. Yes, the food was good, but that means nothing when it's overpriced, and you have untrained staff representing your brand. I will never go back there again and would never recommend this place to anyone. My husband didn't get upset over the bill because he said he would never return or recommend this establishment; not even to his clients looking for places in Atlanta to dine or executive co-workers.The concept is good, but this place still has much to learn about service and overpriced food. I left with my heart simply broken and overwhelmed with shame for the owner. All of the enclosed should be strongly considered before opening another location. So, I give 1 star for the food and the other for the owner because I felt her heart was in the right place. However, the business needs real structure and in house training, the night club music at 10 am needs to be reserve for a the night club setting,a real chef and a more reasonably priced menu. Hungry for flavor but patient enough to wait for it? This is your spot. This was my first time coming here and I didn't read the fine print. Definitely make sure your entire party arrives before trying to enter. We came on Tuesday around 115 to the Cascade location and it really wasn't a bad wait. Maybe 10-15 min. Once you enter through the doors though, you find love and happiness! The setting: The first thing I noticed was there was no salt/pepper/condiments on the table! This can only mean the food is about to be 2 good!! Or one can hope lol Next up: black excellence. Boyz II Men playing in the background (not too loud that you can't hear your party but enough that the table next to you can't hear you sing off key!) Martin on the television (though i doubt this is a daily thing but I think it's set to BET) and seemingly upbeat ppl all around. The server wasn't pushy but she was steady. She checked in, she advised, she laughed with us, she was very personable. We ordered the fried green tomatoes & avocado toast for appetizers. These green tomatoes were so amazing. Seasoned to perfection; like I want the recipe. We devoured those. The avocado toast was topped with onions and tomatoes. I wasn't a fan of the onions but I still was super pleased. My cousins said I was crazy and the onions made the dish lol. I'd get both of these again. Come on over to the entrees! It really took me forever to decide because the options were endless. After being reminded I could come back lol, I was finally able to decide on my dishes. The grit bowl. Mm mm mm. I almost have no words bc I'm salivating just thinking about it . I got mine with eggs, cheese, chicken sausage, and jalapeño fried onions. The flavor here was impressive. I would get this again and again and again. It's rare you go places and the grits are seasoned to everyone's liking but everybody at the table was happy! (Everyone got grits) The pancake. It was pretty big! Big and deliiiiicious. I requested a pancake with pecans and sugar. Legit tasted like a pecan praline pancake. I did not need any syrup. This can easily become my go to pancake. Today, my wife and I visited Gochas Breakfast Bar to celebrate a close friend's birthday. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the level of professionalism or service we expected. Our group of eight arrived early for our 1:00 PM reservation. Two members of the party were parking their vehicle, and the host advised that the entire group needed to be present before we could be seated. Once everyone arrived, we informed the host that the group was now complete. However, at this point, we were told that our table was not yet available as the prior party occupying it had not finished dining. We waited patiently but, by 1:10 PM, were still not seated. When we inquired again, we were told to continue waiting because the table was still occupied. We also explained that two elderly members of our group were with us and standing outside in the cold was not ideal. Despite this, the staff could not offer an alternative solution or seating arrangement. At this point, with no clear resolution in sight, we decided it was best to leave. However, the hostess informed us that we would be charged an $80 cancellation fee, despite the delay being due to the restaurant's inability to honor the reservation at the scheduled time. When we attempted to explain our concerns, the conversation escalated, and the staff's tone became unprofessional and dismissive. As someone who has frequented restaurants worldwide, I found this experience deeply disappointing. A reservation implies a commitment from both the customer and the restaurant to uphold their agreement. In this instance, the lack of preparation, accountability, and customer care was disheartening. I hope Gochas takes this feedback constructively and works on improving its reservation process, communication, and overall guest experience. Respecting the time and comfort of patrons is fundamental to good service, and I trust the management will address these shortcomings to avoid similar issues in the future. I'm so torn. I visited the Fayetteville location on Friday, and they completely blew me away with their exceptional service and delicious food. Imagine my excitement when I discovered there was a location even closer to me! Naturally, I brought my family back, eager to share the experience. However, when we arrived, we found the location closed due to expansion. They directed us to their other location on Campbellton Road or their food truck in the parking lot. Since we were hungry, we opted for the food truck. My husband ordered the fish and grits based on my glowing review from Friday, and thankfully, it did not disappoint. I decided to get a side waffle because my son was getting the 6-piece chicken finger plate. My plan was to take one of his chicken fingers to pair with my waffle, but when his plate arrived, it was so sparse that I didn't have the heart to take one. I honestly thought they gave me the kids meal by mistake. He generously gave me one, but it was not only small, it also lacked tenderness. The honey mustard sauce, however, was fantastic--they definitely have their sauces perfected! What left me feeling disappointed was later noticing a takeout service fee on my receipt. $6. It's a food truck, so the fee felt unnecessary, especially since I had already tipped. This didn't feel like customer-centric service, and it left me feeling a bit unappreciated. Will I go back? Yes, because the food is undeniably good. And hopefully I will have a better experience and update this review. Will I visit their food truck again if I'm out and about? Absolutely not. Let me tell yall!!!! This is not regular food.... This food will make you feel like singing. It changed my accent and had me dancing like a baby. It deserves a whole LIVE discussion The pecan pancakes were made with pride and attention to detail. The edges had a nice crisp and the pecans was candied to the right level of sweetness. The pancake itself maintained a pecan flavor throughtout. The fried green tomatoe was not shown above because it did not last. Lol! The tomatoes retained it's form and texture with a nice crunchy fried outer layer. You get two textures with a juicy delicious center. It was neither bland nor mushy. I think you get the picture about the food! Let talk about the cocktail! The muddled sweet strawberry was the truth. We normally say " Where is the alcohol?". It definitely was present but the flavor gave the reason you ordered a cocktail in the first place. If this did not grab your attention then the service will take you out. William started the experience from the door! He engaged us in conversation while remembering tidbits about ourselves to keep us laughing. The wait in itself was enjoyable because of him. His energy did not scream I need coffee this early but instead made us feel significant and welcomed. Our server Shanice greeted us with a smile that did not fail nor fade. Stopped at Gocha's Breakfast Bar for the first time on our way home from Atlanta Airport Hotel and it was great! We sat at the bar and Ash was very attentive and welcoming. Seeing we were having trouble deciding between all the delicious offerings, she offered to customize our order anyway we wanted so we could try a variety of things. I had a combo of seafood/veggie omelette with lump crab and shrimp it which was heavenly. The jalapeño grits were excellent, not too spicy but had a kick. They put the jalapeño sauce on the edge so you can mix in as much as you want. The sauce by itself was very spicy but after mixing with the grits it toned down the spiciness to a perfect level. My boyfriend got the salmon Benedict on top of the highly recommended fried green tomatoes and loved it. We also wanted to try to blueberry pancake and chocolate pancake not a whole order. Ash helpfully suggested we could get just regular pancake or the small silver dollar pancakes so we could sample that. The OJ mimosa was very good but the peach mimosa made with peach schnapps was even better (very smooth). I highly recommend this place. It was packed so apparently it is pretty popular, but fortunately we didn't have to wait probably because we got there around 11am. Let me just start by saying my experience at Gochas BB was amazing. This restaurant has been on my list of must visits for a while however since I live on the northside...way northside, I hadn't had the opportunity to visit. Well that ended today. I arrived at the most perfect time. I was able to easily get an open seat at the bar. My barmaid/waitress was immediately attentive and engaged. I thought I had my mind made up on what I was going to order when I got there however all of the dishes that was coming out of the kitchen looked so yummy, I was rethinking my choice. Anyways, I started chatting with this nice young lady next to me at the bar and was telling her about this being my first time at the restaurant. She was like "well girl the first time I came to this restaurant, someone graciously paid for my meal...so today your meal is on me. Huh what huh!! I declined by she insisted. So at this point, I was really winning. I ended up ordering the Krunchtastic Crunchy French Toast, chicken tenders and a side of eggs. It was sooo delicious y'all. This was a milestone birthday for me and I wanted to go and do specific things. I knew I wanted to climb Stone Mountain and have Sunday brunch at Gochas Breakfast Bar. Well I climbed Stone Mountain on Saturday and on Sunday we dined at Gochas for brunch. Although we had reservations, we missed them. As a result, there was an hour wait!! This sucked since we had out of town guests who were leaving that day but wanted to experience Gochas with us, unfortunately they were unable to. When they were finally ready to seat us, they set us at a 2 seater (there were 3 of us), which we were ok since we were starving. I must say, the young lady who sat us was so apologetic for having to seat us at this table (she was so sweet). We then met our bubbly, energetic, super nice and friendly waitress Jasmine...ya'll we LOVE HER!!!! She was the BEST!! I was torn between two dishes and she asked me which ones..I told her..and guess what? SHE MADE THEM A LITTLE COMBO FOR ME!! Then this nice gentleman came over and did the birthday spiele for me. Although the food was decent, this establishment has permanently lost my business. Was in the area, on the move looking for a late breakfast option for takeout. I noticed walking into pick up my order a nice dine-in crowd for noon on a Monday (nobody in the building wearing mask!) I ordered (shrimp and grits) & my wife (Bacon egg and cheese + tomato croissant w/ fries...as shown on the menu). Even though there was a tamper proof tape on her food we should check before leaving, because THEY DON'T VALUE TAKEOUT CUSTOMERS! No complaints on my order but my lady's breakfast sandwich had a flat croissant, no cheese or tomato and didn't receive the fries she ordered. My issue was the lack of professionalism and respect for the customer. The woman who took our order took the phone back to the kitchen/manager whom insisted our order was correct. Even claimed in a 30sec conversation they checked the cameras! SMH Needless to say, we have no reason to lie about the food that was given to us, however its disappointing when businesses in our community poorly handles supporting customers. No need to argue with staff, managers or etc... I won't be back! read more

Black Owned Restaurant to start. The Staff Very professional and works in harmony. The service my sister's and I received from *Tara* was nothing less than Stellar . This was our first visit to Gocha's. We sat and admired how each staff member moved swiftly with intentions on getting everyone served. They all had on mask but you could tell they were happy and Proud doing what they do. NOW about THE FOOD!!! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Hec,, I think we enjoyed watching plates rolling out as we waited. Lol, everything looked so good. And not only did it look good it actually taste good. No seasoning needed. It's a plus for me when I'm able to dig right in. *Tara* suggested the special of the day.. So I tried that and everything else that came to my table. (The wait time is long) I suggest not going when you're extremely Hungry. Nor going with the expectation of getting seated right away. You can make reservations days ahead,, no same day reservation. This is exemplified EXCELLENCE at it's finest! From the time we checked in the staff was very accommodating. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, it was recommended by our amazing server Ki! Delicious! Then I had the fried fish and traditional grits with a pancake, which reminded me of my grandfather's pancakes. Again delicious. My husband had the meat lovers omelette with grits and a biscuit. Now let me tell you that their biscuits are very similar to my aunt Aileen biscuits which means they are old school and tasty. So let me tell you all this, their staff pays attention to the smallest details. He is a small yet meaningful examples, the table next to us was wobbling and before the guest could get their the server placed a stabilizer under it. Anyone that has sat at a table that wobbles understand why that matters. Another important thing was having other servers clearing the tables immediately and the kitchen and the servers station was always clean. I have been visiting Gocha's breakfast bar for the last 3 years and it has always been a pleasant experience. I've visited both locations and I prefer the Cascade location because of its proximity to my home. You can expect an extended wait on the weekends but the food will always be really good. I only gave 3 stars because of my recent experience. I've always had pleasant and hospitable servers who made me feel welcome and happy to patronize this black owned restaurant. Unfortunately the bartender, Shannon W, was very unpleasant and not welcoming and continuously ignored my boyfriend when he tried to make simple requests. From the moment we sat down she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. Being that my boyfriend is a gentlemen, he asked I address her so that he didn't speak to her out of frustration. If I didn't speak extra loudly she would have purposely ignored us. Maybe she was having an off day but it did leave us feeling like we were bothering her when we only wanted to have a nice brunch experience. read more

A friend and I met up at Gochas Breakfast Bar on a very hot day in the ATL. Despite the heat and long lines, we decided to wait 30 minutes for our table. Once seated, Jasmine was our waitress and she took very good care of us. What I noticed during our wait: the servers were attentive, they kept up with cleanliness, disinfected after each customer, and employees provided exceptional customer service. The food finally arrived before long and it did not disappoint. The salmon and eggs, sunny side up on croissant with my beverage Jasmine created set me straight for the rest of the day. Later, a lady with red hair approached our table to check on us and to take our plates. Little did I know it was Gocha. Never heard of her or knew of her background, but what I can say is that her spirit is genuine, she cares about the business and her customers, and it is a direct reflection on the service we received. So much so, I came in the next day with two more friends, as promised. The atmosphere was great, and I'll be back. read more

I am a registered nurse who just worked a 12hour shift and came to gocha breakfast bar with a coworker for breakfast. Although our server Kelsea was amazing and offered great customer service ! The first issue i had with this establishment is they didn't have the drink my coworker ordered. The second issue there are gnats flying around. The third and BIGGEST issue i was REFUSED plastic silver ware when asked ! Our tab was easily over 100.00 between the two of us and whether i spent 10.00, if i a paying customer prefers plastic silver ware i should not be denied the choice ! I spoke with the manager (the owners son) who advised he "doesn't make the rules he just enforces them" and literally would rather lose a 100.00 tab than give me ONE plastic fork ! This place is DESPICABLE and i will NEVER return here ! You try to patronize black owned restaurants and really spend money within your own community and your faced with asinine guidelines such as these ! I'm disgusted ! read more

Zero stars.... Simply... the food is NOT GOOD at all and it's expensive for small portions. It was 4 of us everyone left feeling the same.. disappointed and unfulfilled. Pancakes tasted like grease, shrimp and grits flavorless with 3 shrimp with garnish that was over done. The bacon was like heavily glazed in maple (too much). The fries omgoodness it was like they dumped garlic powder on it. Nasty! What kids you know don't eat fries. Will my kids would not eat these fries. My daughter left her meal and didn't ask to box it. The biscuits they make are a replica of churches chickens biscuit heavy, hard with baked honey on them. When they seat you, they say here are the house rules. Like what???! One of the rules.... all sales are final (Food and Drinks). I should have left. $150.00 and the food was NOT good at all like Waffle House is better. The music.. great.. at little loud... place seemed clean. Food just wasn't it at all. Ok can we talk about how beneficial it is to have a full staff. It felt like a meal with family. Everyone was helping everyone, from seating, to checking in on me, to delivering meal components, to keeping table clutter at bay. It's a true team in here. And the kitchen is a well-oiled machine. Every plate that came out looked like a work of art! I love it! Now for the food. I had the impossible empanadas and avocado toast. Both were delicious. I ate the empanadas so fast, I didn't get to take a picture. They were so fresh, hot, and well-seasoned, they were gone before I knew it. Last, but not least, Rod took care of me today. I asked him about what might be best to pair with the empanadas and without hesitation, he suggested I take the balanced meal approach. I'm happy he did. He knew what I needed. Him being friendly as well is a plus. It's always great to experience top-notch customer service. That and the vibe in here turned a sour Monday sweet. read more

Service- I love Gocha's! Temika was the bartender and she immediately greeted us with a warm smile. She was very knowledgeable of the menu, we already knew what we wanted but she still showed her knowledge. She also introduced me to the loyalty program and made sure o signed up! No one has done this for me yet. Ambiance- It was busy but the flow from the service staff throughout the restaurant seemed to keep smiling faces on all of the guests. And the music is always a vibe. Food- We (my hubby and I) ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes to start. I had the grit bowl with veggie sausage and all the fixings including the mushroom gravy, he had the seafood omelette with the jalapeño cheese grits and a chocolate chip waffle to split! Everything came out hot and delicious! Hubby put the salsa that came on the side all over his omelette which is house made and also delicious' The food room about 30 minutes and was sooo worth it! Super disappointed! This place was my go to breakfast/brunch spot. When family and friends would come into town I would recommend we go here. Some relatives came to the city to visit on Sunday and I recommended we go there, but it was a mistake. It seems that they may have a new chef and manager. The food was not good and my brother didn't get his meal until everyone had already eaten. I thought maybe it's just an off day. Three days later on my birthday this Wednesday I went back. I asked for my salmon to be cooked in the middle and they gave me a piece of burnt salmon. I didn't complain. I asked for scrambled eggs with cheese, they added cold shredded cheese unmelted on top, and I didn't complain. However the last straw was the hair in my potatoes. The manager did not comp my meal. I would never go back or recommend any to go. No good customer service. It was like they were amused by not comping me, when a hair was genuinely in my food. SMH! read more

I'm going to start by saying that the manager was kicking the top to the ranch on the floor instead of picking it up off the floor .the manager was very unprofessional being very loud and obnoxious confronting the host in the middle of the floor while I eat my food. she's complaining about where the customers are sitting at and that she wants them to be placed at certain seats, but we spend To much money not to sit where we are comfortable at. The manager and the bartender Tuesday, March 31 they were talking smack about the customer not professional at all I ended my meal & I did t drink my drink from the bar due to the fact that I'm being talked about by the bartende. If the manager wants to work at McDonald's with the ghetto stuff, I think that that would be a great fit for her because Gocha's is a nice upscale brunch restaurants, that I would like to continue to go but if the manger is going to be like that then I'm good on coming. read more
