My waistline might not thank them, but my tastebuds certainly did. The only little hiccup is that the service can get a bit hectic. The staff seemed a little confused trying to match up the order numbers to the tables, and we almost got run over on our way out by a waiter sprinting to the patio! But even with the fast-paced environment, the food is wonderful whether you eat in or grab takeout. Definitely worth a visit! A much better experience here than MY 1st time. I think it's because they enlarged the dining area with more table space. It's still hard to have a conversation due to the high ceilings which echo the sound.

Today, I visited for the very first time to try one of their vegan options. I arrived around 7:15 on a Thursday morning, and it wasn't busy at all. My friend and I were able to choose a cozy booth by the window. (By the time we left at 9:00, quite a few booths were filled!) The service was great, and our food came out quickly! The vegan waffle was generously sized and made fresh in the kitchen. It had the perfect texture--a little crispy on the outside, yet warm and chewy on the inside. There was just a hint of sweetness, so I hardly needed any maple syrup. The decor is very cool--I absolutely love the color scheme! Even the restroom was charming. When I walked in, I noticed a sign on the wall that said, "Hello Beautiful." Although it's a small detail, I also appreciated that the trash bin was placed directly beneath the paper towel dispenser and right next to the door. It's those thoughtful little touches that make a difference. I can't wait to come back and try more of their vegan options!

And it was tasty - my steak quesadillas and my mom got a house Cobb salad. Both were tasty and looked great. Our server Miriam was awesome with our orders, she came by to check on us and not too many times, and was there to help us with leftovers and leaving stuff. She struck a nice balance of not being there vs being here too often, so that's Ace's in my book. Since it was Mother's Day, it's crowded and a bit loud but not too loud where it was too obnoxious, except for a few people who had no manners at all on dress, but that's another topic I won't go to, for now. Tables, plates and silverware were clean, and one can still get around, even with one table behind us with a handicapped person, it didn't crowd up much at all - it was all very reasonably spacious. Definitely will come back here, though I do miss that older lady who was our server the last time before today, who was very nice - had a bit of an attitude to her personality but not too much to make it tasteless, some sass makes for an interesting day. Staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is comfy and what I want in a diner. I recommend and it is my new go to for brunch.
