On a recent trip to Indiana I had a fabulous experience at Zing as usual. It has become a tradition to eat at Zing Japanese Fusion. On this particular occasion I enjoyed dinner with a friend I was visiting. It was on a Saturday evening. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcomed as always. We were promptly seated at a table for two. The restaurant quickly filled with customers creating a lively atmosphere. We shared a couple of sushi plates while enjoying wine & Bobo Tea. It was a memorable experience. A fantastic meal, great service, and a lovely decor. I highly recommend Zing Japanese Fusion. There is no doubt I will return the next time I visit Indiana.

The beef brisket was clearly not brisket, but rather some sort of cubed stew beef with loads of fat and connective tissue floating in a nondescript brown gravy. When the server (who spent most of his time on his phone) took our plates, which we hadn't even halfway eaten, he asked if we didn't like the food. We said we didn't, and he walked away without comment, then brought back the check. Will not return.

It wasn't until I flagged down a group of servers and food runners chit chatting by the corridor to the bathroom that someone finally came to our table. I added some extra veggie toppings which I think gets ridiculously pricey considering the ramen is already priced kind of high. My boyfriend had the chicken wings and white rice. He seemed to have enjoyed it. The following time I ordered delivery to avoid the spotty service we received last time. The packaging was great and it arrived early and was nice and hot. The V red fire opal ramen was DELICIOUS. And I'm absolutely obsessed with the matcha tiramisu. Delectable. I still want to try the Flying V harvest ramen.
