Pros Good customer service Nice accent wall with neon lights Cons Do not take cards I typically don't purchase expensive drinks but my friends insisted they would have honestly got a 3 star for an issue I discussed with them but because he took the criticism so well I couldn't lower there rating because of that. I took off because they chose not to have a card reader and only take cash or zelle. So again the lack of a card reader is why they got 1 star off. The drinks was $5 each they dont charge extra for the tapioca. Because of the simple ingredients and no extra syrup or fruit it was just ok 7/10.

I was cleaning out my desk and saw the punch card so I decided to drop by since I haven't been here in a while. I have to say the place is very quiet with no customers. I went ahead and ordered 3 drinks since I remembered it was good and cheap. My total came out to be $18.50! I remembered each drink used to be around $4 or so and even with inflation the price is almost as much as other tea place. It still taste good but for the price I would go somewhere closer to me. Also, there are no price posted anywhere.

This is my go to place for boba fruit smoothies and shaved ice! They use fresh fruit, not powder, and are priced very well compared to other places in Chinatown. The service is always friendly. Do note they only accept cash. I highly recommend and will return.

This place has become too bad I really like that they have fresh fruit but I can't stand having to watch over them every time I tell them no sugar and they will try to put syrup in it anyway. Then they charge different prices every day I put five different fruit sometimes charge me five dollars sometimes six dollars today eight dollars but that's not the worst of it I dropped my cup getting into the truck now yes this is my fault but any other business would've gave me a new drink this bad person told me it was my fault I will never go back to this business when she is working there this happened January 6, 2021 I was a loyal customer here for about 5 years that ends today! One more thing I forgot to add this business only excepts cash today I walked in and had a 20 and they could not make change I luckily found eight dollars at the bottom of my purse are you kidding me.

Gogo Ice is one of those places that aren't super flashy, aren't "Instagram worthy", and you pass by it all the time without stopping in. Well due to the Houston heat and humidity, I decided to stop by and get a nice cold refreshment and I'm so glad I did. I got a mango/papaya smoothie and my brother got the strawberry smoothie with boba. Total cost of both was $7.50, such a steal. They have fresh fruit on display and use it in their drinks so it's delicious and healthy too. Only downside was that this is an old school Chinatown spot that does cash only...

Boba tea shops are a dime a dozen, but this one! I'd make way to go out to! Every time I've gone and tried either a tea or a smoothie it always has had that distinct freshness, perhaps because they actually grind up fruits freshly right behind the counter. I ended up getting a passion fruit tea lychee with tapioca, while my parents got a fresh mango smoothie also with tapioca. Both were really good! I'd have to recommend a fresh fruit type of drink though next time I go. The tapioca itself is also very tasty and not too mushy, sweetened as well making it all the more refreshing. Staff is very nice and can easily make recommendations since the large menu can be intimidating to some. There's also a list of favored types, can't wait to try a new one!

This is my brother's go to for his weekly tapioca and one of my favorite places for Thai tea tapioca. I have not tried their ice desserts so this review is mainly on the tapioca and service. Tapioca: 4.5 stars The have the typical vast variety of options just like other tapioca stores. My favorite are their Thai and Milk tea because of their strong tea flavor and even when I ask for no ice they don't decrease the volume like at other stores. What is unique about Gogo is that they are one of two stores that started to sell the split cup for $5 which allows you to pick two flavors instead of one. Even with the divide its still the same amount of liquid but you should ask for no ice because the divide makes it very easy for them to add too much. This is also true for tapioca. Service: 5 stars What I love about Gogo is that they have one of the cheapest price for a good quality and quantity. My brother's weekly regular mango tapioca is $3.25 which is a good price because at other stores the cup is a large and it would normally sell for $4 or more. What's unique about Gogo is that the staff can speak multiple languages such as Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Chinese which makes it feel more inclusive then other tapioca stores that only speak English and one Asian language. The workers are very efficient so you get your tapioca right away and they're always polite and serve with a smile.

I used Yelp to find this drink and dessert shop. All of their drinks and juices are made from fresh fruit, and you can see them cutting them up right at the counter. I'm a simple girl; I got the milk tea with boba pearls. The pearls are soft but not mushy, and the tea is sweetened just enough. I loved my milk tea and you get a big drink for $3. You can't beat the price and quality! For more adventurous folks, they have a menu of flavors that sound heavenly together. You can also mix and match flavors to your liking, as well as change the form of your drink (get it into a smoothie versus as a drink). Inside, there's lots of tables to sit at. It's very loud because of the blenders going, and the cafe itself is quite small for the volume of customers. It was somewhat busy when we went, and we waited to get our drinks, but it's worth it. Thanks Yelp for leading me to a delicious drink shop during my visit to Houston!

I used to love stopping by Gogo Ice to get my boba fix back in college. They used to make all their smoothies with fresh fruit and the prices were unbeatable. I recently stopped by in over a year and I noticed the quality has decreased a lot unfortunately and they also increased the prices. The store it self seems really unsanitary and had a bad smell. The employee making my drink wasn't wearing gloves and touched the fruit with her bare hands after touching her phone/the cash register. Didn't feel very sanitary. Probably won't come back again, since there are other better boba spots in chinatown.

Not busy compared to the Tapioca House in the adjoining strip. I can see why. The person before me loudly complained about her order not being right. The person after me loudly complained about her order. I noticed they forgot to put tapioca in my strawberry smoothie but they fixed that when it was pointed out before they sealed the container. I think they were just rattled by the previous lady but man, it makes you wonder whether it was a hiccup that day or they are consistently absent minded. The drink tasted fine although not as good as the same item from its competitor.

They sell real fruit smoothies here. Decent price (just over $6 a cup), and boba comes free.

The lounge like ambiance, along with their diner-like menu, is a major selling point for folks and has been one of the reasons for their popularity over the better part of the last two decades. It is a bit trendy and plays music that you would think of and in a Miami lounge or a pretentious New York Club. While service is not their strong suit, the clean bathrooms, spacious seating, and semi-open kitchen makes up for some 'tudes from the staff. The menu is most definitely Asian, but blends from a predominantly Chinese menu and featuring various Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese items. The latter includes sushi, which is likely one of the only spots in the neighborhood that still has it after midnight. They have bluefin tuna and sea urchin, in which Cafe 101 is one of the only late night spots to offer it. Their beef chow fun is nice and greasy, but filled with excessive onions, bean sprouts, and various other veggies that almost take away from the noodles and beef (which was nicely cooked). Their shrimp and egg came in a nice set, which was a good surprise and surprisingly well executed. This is also a spot for Japanese curry, and even though it's not the best, it most certainly does the job. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is on point, cumin lamb is unsurprisingly spicy, and Singapore chow mai fun has a tinge of solid wok hei. (#1) I'm genuinely not a fan of their soups and think the sushi rolls are not their best work. While they also have milk, tea options, unless one is desperate, I would also steer clear of. Parking in the early evening can be an issue at Don Huang Plaza, but after 11pm, the parking options should be abundant. I would consider coming here in a larger group, especially with late night owls. ___________ (#1) Wok's essence (鑊氣)

Would LOVE to take my cousins here one day…read more Environment/Atmosphere - Super crowded when we got here, but the lines moved fast, and there was a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait in line for the cashier. One of my favorite things was how fragrant the space smelled while I waited for my boba. You could tell there was an exceptional tea aroma lingering despite all the cream and sweetness. The place was exceptionally clean for being so busy, and the workers consistently cleaned as they made the drinks, so you knew you could trust the sanitation here. Drink Design - I have to make a separate comment on how CUTE these drinks were. I loved the intentional sticker placement over the lips and the little carrying handle. You could tell they went the extra mile to make these drinks not just flavorful, but an experience in and of themselves. Even their receipt paper felt luxurious. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but the thought behind every aspect of this place is impeccable. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had today, this lemony drink hit the spot with its perfect tartness. The cream had bits of lemon zest in it, adding to the aroma. I tried to adjust the sweetness when I ordered and was told it had a built-in sweetness, but if I found it too sweet, they would happily switch it out for another drink. I felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy--and luckily, the drink was perfect, so no return was needed! Creamy Mango Tart - Literally like the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much and really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of BOTH tarts. Instantly a fan favorite. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my favorite because it was a bit too creamy after everything else I had today. Still, I loved the tea profile and can absolutely see why others would love it. Overall, I love, love, LOVE this place. 1000/10. From the experience to the quality and intentionality behind every little detail, I couldn't be happier with my visit. I never thought I'd ever say that a drink was so Instagram-worthy, but these drinks were beautiful--like models of the boba world. Would go back in a heartbeat.
