When I spoke to Steve Nelson I explained what I wanted and he said that this truck could be handled by Flowmark no problem. So here goes the problems. This truck would have a hose reel on the front of the truck. They have missed the completion date by months. When I first spoke to Steve I told him I wanted to give plenty of time for the build. So I could plan to go get my new truck. Here is their reply: The chassis is past the timing that we can cancel it so the search for a different in stock chassis was stopped. The chassis build date is 3/19, should be into KC early April. We need a solid 3+ weeks to build the truck. So I planned to pick the new truck late in May. I made the serious mistake of not calling to get a update before I flew to Kansas City. Even though I had made it clear the date I was flying I should have called. So you can emagine when I called telling Steve I am here at the airport are you going to pick me up. "Oh I should have called you". WHAT you should have called me about what? They are having problems. You are at what airport? I am at your airport MCI. Oh that's bad. I should have called you then. And I flew home. I asked them to remove all old wiring and rewire everything on this 5 pin trailer. Apparently they had issues and he said it took 7 hours to rewire vs. 2-3 hours or so which would be typical. I checked two different trailer repairs (ADH & Orrick) and they quoted $2.00 - $2.50 per foot of trailer to be rewired so I'd say I paid too much. Rick is a nice guy but the price I was charged was highway robbery.

I called Central Body to get some info and discuss my options. I spoke with the manager Kathy. The very next day I called back with a few more questions and spoke with her again. From the moment the phone was answered to the very second we hung up the phone both times, Kathy was absolutely AMAZING! Very knowledgeable, 1,000% honest and respectable which was very appreciated and a pleasure to hear. At the end of the day, she did give me her opinion and advised me on NOT getting our camper fixed due to the damage, the year of it and the worth. So, she did turn away business yes, but what she did was save us a HUGE HUGE hassle in the long run and allowed us to make a smart educated decision on what to do. And she also gave me a few tips on how to do an easy diy fix to get us by for a little while until our brand-new camper arrived which was on order.
