One of my favorite dishes she had in rotation once was the brisket truffle fried rice. My favorites that are always on the menu are the beef jerky with the yummy garlic green sauce, the yellow curry, and all the noodle dishes. My husband also loves the pork belly with Chinese broccoli. So I came into the restaurant and was the only one there. This was my first time coming here also. When you enter , you can see into the kitchen. There was a man , who I thought was the cook all the way in the back of the long kitchen. He saw me come in. I waited few minutes and no one came up to greet or seat me. Then I realized there is a digital screen at the counter next to me, started to realize I have to order food through the screen (again no one came to answer any questions on their own) i finally flagged the guy in the back to ask a question. A few other people came in and went straight to another digital screen around the corner of the counter. I had seen other yelp posts of a lunch menu, I asked the guy that finally came and he said they don't have lunch specials. So they must have got rid of those on the menu a while back. I place my order on the digital screen. No wear did I see carry out or eat-in. I sat on a bench at the front waiting for my food. There was 2 other customers also waiting at this point for food to go. There is only a couple tables inside to sit. Everything is self service - I saw water cups , chopsticks, utensils all just sitting on each table. I ordered a chicken curry dish , the curry was tasty and had a good variety of vegetables but there was some herb in their like small strips that I had to keep picking out because I didn't like the texture. I gave 3 stars because of lack of acknowledgement when coming in , no clear instructions that I had to order on the digital screen. No service for a place that I thought was a sit down restaurant. I haven't eaten here in over a year and boy was I shocked when I walked in through the door. It is not the sit down restaurant that it once was. It's now a Thai express to go. The food quality and taste is still there. Everything was delicious, but pricey. I payed $3.50 extra to add veggies (broccoli and carrots) to my pad see ew.... Also, the crispy shrimp and crab spring rolls were disappointing in the amount of pieces. Four spring rolls cut in half, a little over an inch each in size is what we were served. The price was outrageous once you realize that there was more glass noodles inside than shrimp/crab. Only one kiosk is available to place an order. So customer must wait if kiosk is busy. This can take some time, if you've never been there before or not sure what to order. Kiosk also asked for a tip. Asking for a tip before rendering service has become the norm. This business, is no different than the rest. Inside the establishment, it's very vibrant and beautiful, full of quotes. Sadly, table space has decreased to only 3 tables. Which sits 3 people comfortably, but we had 4 adults in our party. The table felt extremely crowded with the numerous takeout boxes that our entrées were placed in. As I mentioned before, the food quality is there, but not sure if I would come back to be honest. I want to sit and enjoy my meal, but not eat out of takeout boxes and paper plates. The gourmet entrées is definitely reflective in the price, and the sit down restaurant experience should also reflect that, but it's far from it. Another place I finally made it out to try. I got my usual thai go-tos: pad thai and mango sticky rice. Ordered to go and just arrived to pick up. Immediately, I couldn't help but notice how nice and comfy the ambiance looks. I mean, look at it. It's not a large place with a lot of room to eat, but if you manage to get there with your special person and nobody else is there, could be a nice intimate date with great food. And yes, the food is yummy. When I got my container of pad thai, I noticed it was a good sized serving and it was just picture perfect. The taste was different-the noodles were great and the meal was satisfying, it just didn't taste like any pad thai I was used to, just a savory, satisfying noodle dish. The mango sticky rice, while pretty to look at, wasn't too sweet at all. Didn't really taste much of a hint of sweetness there, so I didn't finish it. I've been coming to this place for over 2 years now, and every single time I come I've gotta tell somebody about it. This is the best local Thai food spot I've been to in the Murrieta area. My usual order includes the pad see ew, garlic green beans, and a side of white rice. I always make sure to add extra chili flakes and chili oil to my noodles! The place is small but so cozy & comfortable! They have a few dining tables & the inside decor adds to the vibe of the place. My dear daughter treated me to a belated birthday lunch here. We came because of past reviews. The eating area was small but tastefully decorated and cozy. We were greeted warmly by Mauricio who told us that all orders were taken & paid on an electronic board. It was fast & convenient. Prices were a bit high & I mentioned it to my daughter, who told me not to worry since she was treating. We ordered the chicken wings with a tamarind sauce, Yellow Curry Chicken, and Chicken Pad Se Ew. Food came out quickly. Wow! We were blown away! The food was so good. And on a special occasion or holiday, give yourself 2 hours. That's even when you order ahead with a scheduled pickup time. The interior only has three tables which fits 4 per table, so always have the expectation of eating to go. The food is absolutely amazing. Not greasy one bit and cooked just right. I finally got to try this spot for the first time after going to the Thai Orchid of Murrieta multiple times. This spot is definitely a hole in the wall. One of the best Thai Restaurants in Murrieta and in a 30 mile radius. Now I came in at 2pm and the staff told me that they're going to close the restaurant so they can have lunch. I was really upset because I wanted to eat. I did end up waiting the 30 minutes because a friend of mine told me it's worth the wait. So after the 30 minutes they let me in and I ordered. It is a small family business and did their best to provide the best customer service. They hooked me up ok the drinks since I waited 30 minutes. They made an upset customer to a very happy one! Best Customer Service ever! I ordered shrimp fried rice, pad kee mao and the chimichurri steak with fries. Oh the fried rice and the noodles were GREAT! I went to Thailand 3 times for vacation and the food almost tasted the same. The chimichurri steak was good but didn't really gave me a wow but definitely need to get the noodles and rice there. SIMPLY THE BEST THAI RESTAURANT IN THIS VALLEY!!! Ever since I've been coming here, I've never been to other Thai places near by even though there's other good Thai restos around. What sets Goi apart from the rest is the quality of coconut milk they use in their curry, the fresh herbs and spice and the overall flavor of every dish just stands above the rest. Melissa, the owner/chef is very personable and she greets us with that warm smile and hospitality. It's like eating at her own home. These are my feedback to the dishes we ordered today: 1. Drunken noodles with beef - 10/10. The best drunken noodles I've had. The smokiness in the dish stands out and the flavors are so balanced. Meat is tender. 2. Yellow curry with chicken - 10/10. I know if the coconut milk they use if fresh or not and everytime we come here, it's always spot on. So so good!! 3. Pad Thai - 9/10. Again love the smoky flavor and love that it is not too sweet. 4. Crab bao buns - 11/10. This appetizer dish is DA BOMB. 2 pieces of buns with her own version of crab cakes that is so delicious. You can taste real crab meat with no fillers Melissa also comped us with this pastry with yellow curry inside (it's like a Thai samosa). This was also very delish. Lastly, we topped our meal with Thai halo-halo and mango with sticky rice. YUM!! We had a wonderful experience at Goi Express Thai. Food, service and atmosphere were all top tier. We went on a Sunday at noon, it wasn't super busy because they just opened. We ordered garlic green beans, pad see ew, mango chicken in peanut sauce and mango sticky rice. Everything was excellent. The manager or owner came to over table and had the nerve to tell us that she had a complain from one of her cashiers that we were rude to her when we asked to use the rest room. First of all for her to come to our table after spending over $100 in food to tell us one of her cashiers had a complain is so unprofessional and than not even asked us if it was true! NEVER GOING BACK EVER! Absolutely none of us talked down to your staff or were rude in anyway!! I used to be an avid Thai food eater, but I took a break for a while. Goi Express Thai is by far one of the best Thai food restaurants I've ever had. Their crab fried rice is top 2, and it might not be 2 lol. My mother had the Pad see ew, and I tasted that; and it was full of great flavor. The spicy crab bao buns were amazingly tasty as well! I also had the steamed Pork & shrimp dumplings, and those were definitely the best I've ever had. My mother dined in and said the service was exemplary and the owner was extremely personable. My mother and her friend enjoyed the ambiance and energy of this fine establishment. I will be back to try more menu items, because I am confident I will not be disappointed. I love Thai food & I fortunately am just barely trying Goi express! As a family of four we all communally shared the kids fried rice (adult size), pad Thai with chicken, & tom kha with tofu. All spice level mild. All were incredibly flavorful, & great portions! We have leftovers. It was pricey but in my opinion well worth it. Can't find my receipt but total was about $60. Back in town I had to stop in. Ive been a fan of Goi Express for a while and usually sing their praises, but today's order was way beneath their usual standard. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup ($16.95) and the Crispy Shrimp & Crab Spring Rolls ($14.95). Both left me disappointed. The soup was mostly broth with barely any chicken or vegetables. For the price, I expected a hearty, balanced dish with enough protein to make it a meal, but instead it felt hollow. The spring rolls were almost entirely glass noodles as filler with hardly any shrimp or crab. At $14.95, the main ingredients should be the star, not missing in action. Where they continue to be consistent is in flavors, the taste is still there, but the QUALITY is going down. What I got today was a total waste of money. I understand food costs are rising, but cutting back on protein and substance while keeping premium prices is a bad trade-off. If this becomes the new normal, customers will notice. Maybe down the line I'll try them again to see if they've improved, but as of today this meal was not worth it. read more

This place is tasty but their menu changes VERY REGULARLY. Bring back the thai pizza. I like their odd dishes but their normal thai dishes are very mid. Not enough coconut milk for the sticky rice, everything costs an arm and leg, and their spice levels are inconsistent. Idk if they judge me based on my appearance but if I order in person the employees try to warn me about the spice, essentially arguing that I dont want it that spicy... Only to give me what I would consider mild thai spice. This has happened multiple times. I want fire from my butt later spice not to be judged for being white girl and then babied. I've ordered under different male names online and have gotten spicy levels I actually expect for "spicy". Their drunken noodles are tasty. Their curry is mid and golden triangle across the street's curries are tastier, cheaper, and have more in them. This place would be 5 stars if I was judging yheir creative foods like the pizzas, taquitos, etc werid things they have fusioned. But I'm forced to judge them for their thai food, service, and price. They cost a lot, have mid thai food, and judge you on your appearance. This place caters more to the folks who haven't had thai food before or who might be pickier. They like to play it safe.
