Great Thai spot in town with really quick and friendly service! My team and I came here for lunch and we were super impressed by our meal. I really enjoyed my pad thai and my coworkers enjoyed their drunken noodles and pad see ew dishes. Portions were also great - definitely possible to break it up into two meals! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area! (Also based on my photos from Yelp it looks like I was also here a few years ago!! I thought it seemed familiar - again, definitely recommend!)

Small hole in the wall, not good for large parties. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food seemed made to order, because the server brought the food out as it was done cooking. Granite it was on New Year's Day so it was probably low staff. this isn't my usual go-to Thai spot, but it got the job done and I would come again to try other things.

We came in here by chance because the other restaurant we wanted to go to was closed - and we were happy to give it a chance without even looking at yelp for the review! We had the Tom Yum soup (spice level 3) and it was perfect! I had to admit the presentation was meeh but the taste is chef's kiss! Service was good, he was a friendly guy and a smile. The place was clean and not big, it's a great spot for a quiet lunch. The fried tofu was good also- my husband does not eat cucumber so he dipped it in soy sauce. The food was good and we will definitely go back with the kids!

We stopped by Thai Orchid with one mission: get our hands on that ginger tea. And let me tell you... it did not disappoint! Spicy with the perfect touch of sweetness -- honestly the BEST way to kick off a meal. I'd come back for that tea alone! The service here was excellent. The gentleman taking care of us was incredibly attentive and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Love when staff actually care about your spice tolerance before setting your mouth on fire! They let us choose our spice level from 1-5, and we stayed at a max of 3 -- which was plenty spicy. Personally, I think 2 is that perfect harmony of heat without tears. Now for the food: * Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice: 9/10 -- Flavor was great, but they were a little shy with the shrimp. * Yellow Curry with Chicken: 9/10 -- Super tasty, but again, portions were on the smaller side compared to other Thai spots I've been to. * Drunken Noodles (my usual fave): 7/10 -- Sadly lacking in flavor, and I wish the serving was bigger... especially because this is my go-to comfort dish and I'm a big eater! lol Overall, I'm giving Thai Orchid a solid 4 stars for the amazing service, cozy flavors, and that unforgettable ginger tea. Portions could be a bit more generous, but I'd absolutely return -- especially for another steaming cup of that liquid gold. But hey, don't just take my word for it -- give it a try yourself!

Came here for lunch , close by and wanted to give it a try. We were the only ones there so of course service was good. Inside was simple and clean. Nothing crazy fancy but it's decent size for seating, for I imagine when it gets busy. Not sure when that is. Either way, food came out quickly which is usually fine. Although, the noods we got, looked and tasted as if it had already been made and reheated. Also got their wontons as well. Doubt they make them there but they were good. This Thai restaurant was alright, the fried rice was good . Event though we got the spiciest level. It tasted average spice but no biggie. The only disappointment was the noods. Like I said it just tasted and looked like leftovers.

Pretty good pad Thai, just a smaller portion than I was expecting But overall tasted really good and came out quickly

I came here today for a lunch date with my friends and we were surprised that the place was pretty quiet and no customers at all. I tried the Green Curry with chicken in level 1 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me although it's pretty good if you like bamboo shoots and basil. My friends tried the panang curry and pad Thai too and they were all tasty and have decent portions. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Thai food.

I had such a wonderful experience here today. 1. They have coconut milk available for their thai tea and dont charge extra 2. I asked if they could add fresh herbs (basil, cilantro, mint) to the fresh spring rolls and they did with no extra charge 3. My waistress Tiv found out I like sweet things and trying new foods and she brought out this little sample of a new sweetbean dessert the kitchen was testing out for me to try free of charge! 4. Tiv gave me recommendations for thai sweets places and streetfood markets in LA to try! I will definitely be back! Thanks Tiv for making my day!!!

The place was super clean and had lots of tables. Their menu is straight forward. Love the detailed descriptions of each item. Their Thai Fried rice was amazing! Their peanut butter chicken platter was also to die for! It didn't look to promising, but boy was it delicious. I also love how you can put spice on almost all their dishes. We got level 4, and it was doable, just slightly more spicy than a Hot Cheeto. Service was great.

    Do you sell gift certificates?

I don't believe they have them.

Is the pad Thai on the saucy and sweet side or dry and not sweet?

Not super saucy. Sweet yes. I like to pour juice from my husbands Panang on it.

There was a man , who I thought was the cook all the way in the back of the long kitchen. He saw me come in. I waited few minutes and no one came up to greet or seat me. Then I realized there is a digital screen at the counter next to me, started to realize I have to order food through the screen (again no one came to answer any questions on their own) i finally flagged the guy in the back to ask a question. A few other people came in and went straight to another digital screen around the corner of the counter. I had seen other yelp posts of a lunch menu, I asked the guy that finally came and he said they don't have lunch specials. So they must have got rid of those on the menu a while back. I place my order on the digital screen. No wear did I see carry out or eat-in. I sat on a bench at the front waiting for my food. There was 2 other customers also waiting at this point for food to go. There is only a couple tables inside to sit. Everything is self service - I saw water cups , chopsticks, utensils all just sitting on each table. I ordered a chicken curry dish , the curry was tasty and had a good variety of vegetables but there was some herb in their like small strips that I had to keep picking out because I didn't like the texture. I gave 3 stars because of lack of acknowledgement when coming in , no clear instructions that I had to order on the digital screen. No service for a place that I thought was a sit down restaurant. At first I was thinking Pad Thai or Pad See Ew Noodles because I've had both dishes before at other restaurants. I wanted to try something new and chose the Thai Style Beef Salad with medium heat. The marinade on the beef slices was something I haven't tried before. It was tangy, a bit spicy and ultimately delicious. The salad had lettuce, cabbage, grape tomatoes, decorative cucumbers, and carrots. There were red onion slices, cilantro and scallions garnished over the top of the meat. The service was great and our drinks were consistently refilled. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice and I loved how creamy the rice was which paired well with the sweet and soft mangoes. I cannot wait to go back and try something different on their menu. This salad was delicious and fresh and I'd order it again. Just had their pad thai and mango sticky rice. I have been on the hunt for the best mango sticky rice in SoCal so if you have an idea where I can find it, puhlease let me know! As you can see, the mango sticky rice is very soupy and cereal-like. I've never had it presented this way. Didn't taste great either. My issue with the pad thai was it was like 99.9% noodles and hardly any tofu. I mean, it's tofu, not the more pricey seafood or other protein. Other than that, this was far from my fav pad thai. I'd be willing to stop by again and try their curry or another dish but not for either of these.

However this place just gave me the wow factor even through food delivery on GrubHub! I just had to jump on here right away to share! As mentioned I've never dined in and today was my 1st day getting takeout from here. Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical I'm not sure why. So glad I pulled the plug! Ok the wow factor came how they were so brilliant and mindful during packaging takeout orders! Wow they definitely thought outside the box of how to take care of their customers and I'm assuming how they'd want their food delivered. So I ordered 3 salads basically; squid, papaya, and beef. All contains liquids. They put the papaya in a big closable container with a lid. Smart; you'd think everyone would do that. You'd be surprised who just dumps papaya in a styrofoam container! Anyway the squid and beef salads came separately from their salads. They made sure to pack the dry salads in a takeout box and put the mixed proteins in their marinades in another soup containers which was perfect and made it so easy to add on top when ready. I really love that idea! Not only that but the food was good. I really enjoyed the squid salad it had a nice sour balance. The papaya salad I requested Lao style to be the spiciest level 10 but it actually wasn't too spicy. Other restaurants definitely need to take notes because I really just had a bad experience with another Thai restaurant being so careless and my papaya salad sauce spilling not only in the bag but dripped all over my floors.
