Back in town I had to stop in. Ive been a fan of Goi Express for a while and usually sing their praises, but today's order was way beneath their usual standard. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup ($16.95) and the Crispy Shrimp & Crab Spring Rolls ($14.95). Both left me disappointed. The soup was mostly broth with barely any chicken or vegetables. For the price, I expected a hearty, balanced dish with enough protein to make it a meal, but instead it felt hollow. The spring rolls were almost entirely glass noodles as filler with hardly any shrimp or crab. At $14.95, the main ingredients should be the star, not missing in action. Where they continue to be consistent is in flavors, the taste is still there, but the QUALITY is going down. What I got today was a total waste of money. I understand food costs are rising, but cutting back on protein and substance while keeping premium prices is a bad trade-off. If this becomes the new normal, customers will notice. Maybe down the line I'll try them again to see if they've improved, but as of today this meal was not worth it. read more

This place is tasty but their menu changes VERY REGULARLY. Bring back the thai pizza. I like their odd dishes but their normal thai dishes are very mid. Not enough coconut milk for the sticky rice, everything costs an arm and leg, and their spice levels are inconsistent. Idk if they judge me based on my appearance but if I order in person the employees try to warn me about the spice, essentially arguing that I dont want it that spicy... Only to give me what I would consider mild thai spice. This has happened multiple times. I want fire from my butt later spice not to be judged for being white girl and then babied. I've ordered under different male names online and have gotten spicy levels I actually expect for "spicy". Their drunken noodles are tasty. Their curry is mid and golden triangle across the street's curries are tastier, cheaper, and have more in them. This place would be 5 stars if I was judging yheir creative foods like the pizzas, taquitos, etc werid things they have fusioned. But I'm forced to judge them for their thai food, service, and price. They cost a lot, have mid thai food, and judge you on your appearance. This place caters more to the folks who haven't had thai food before or who might be pickier. They like to play it safe. So I came here about two weeks after they first opened as I always gotta try the new "hot" eats. After doing a little research, I figured Goi would be able to do authentic Thai food a solid but was mildly disappointed. The food, at that time, was simply undeveloped and could not be called authentic. I'm so glad I gave them some time and a second chance! Whatever they did to get back to their roots worked. I got the Pad Kra Pow with a fried egg, "thai spicy", and boy, did Goi deliver. Most Americanized Thai places have a spice level system that is really tailored for the American palette so, as someone that is more accustomed to eating spice levels closer to what would be served in Thailand, I was pleasantly surprised that when I asked for "Thai" spicy the food came exactly as expected (shed-a-tear hot). They also delivered rich flavor in their cashew chicken which is what I saw pictures of on Yelp that inspired me to return. If you're looking for deep umami, smokey, and nutty flavors you have to try this dish. In all, Goi gets five stars for fast and friendly service and food that rings the authenticity bell. read more

We had been planning to try this place and our only regret is that we didn't try it sooner. We had the Drunken man noodles with beef and Mango chicken with Thai peanut sauce. i wish i could leave a review about the food here but honestly after the interaction i had with the lady who was going to take my order i just walked away. Goi express thai has a set up at the Murrieta food truck festival and this was the first time i saw them. I was extremely excited because there are not a lot of places that serve bao here in town. We waited a while for someone to acknowledge us, once we she did i had a question about their pop up sign on the bao and asked how many come on the order, extremely rude and said just like the picture 2, her attitude threw me off but then i asked what the cost was and she again with an attitude, asked if I couldn't read the price was on the sign, spoiler alert it wasn't there. She then proceeded to say are you not looking its at the top of the tent. Okay my bad i didn't scan your whole tent to check the price of bao that wasn't on your promotional sign. I said thank you and walked away it wasn't worth my time, when there are 20 more trucks i can go to that give worlds better service. Back again to our favorite Thai place in all of the Temecula/Murrieta area!!! What a treat we had being served our lunch family style from Goi and her amazing crew!!! So attentive she is, as well as her staff, I can't stress it enough, it feels like we're a part of the family when we eat there. That's called 'heart' and boy does she have it!!! The food tastes amazing, so flavorful, you literally will lick your plate clean, and fight for any left overs. Goi treated us to sample a recent entree addition of rigatoni and vodka sauce, Thai style, so it was spicy with Thai basil too. It was very delicious, and elevated one of my favorite Italian dishes to the next level. Perfection! Plenty of curry dishes to choose from, we had the mango curry, and this is now my new favorite. We had the garlic pork (excellent) chicken cashew, and basil chicken...each unique and a must have addition to your meal. We ended with dessert, of mango, sticky rice, and coconut milk, in a cute little heart with just the rich amount of sweet. This place is a GEM! Goi, the owner, is such a fantastic sweet person. We came in clueless as to what to order. It's not like other Thai places where you sit down & order. You go to the counter and pay prior and they scoop your food onto the plate. Whenever you come in, you always have food ready and hot so no waiting! We ordered a couple lunch special which came with three choices with a side of rice. Goi made my son a side of chicken fried rice. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. Me and my husband went to try this place for the first time. We got the old fashion Pad Thai, Happy Ravioli & the pick 3 combo. All were good but, we both agreed that the winner was the OLD fashion Pad Thai... It reminded me of the Thai street food in Thailand. It has no food coloring and you really get that smoky and authentic flavor. We were encouraged to order at the kiosk. Everything is self service. You can grab your own plates, utensils and condiments... The massaman beef curry came with potatoes and carrots was on the sweet side. My favorite was the Panang Beef curry because it wasn't sweet and had a nice aunthentic Thai curry flavor. The chicken krapow was good but, I've had better, hehe. I would definitely recommend trying the Old fashion Pad Thai because you can taste the difference between theirs and other Thai places. Other Thai places have a tangy and orange color.
