I will never take my dogs anywhere else after the amazing experience I had at Going Mutts. My dog is a husky mix and has high anxiety. He is only two and has cataracts in both eyes and won't even let me brush him. This has caused him to have big patches of hair just kind of stuck to his fur. I made an appointment for him to have a bath with Going Mutts and they were so sweet to him from the moment I got there. I called to check in because he has such high anxiety and they said he was doing well and would be done soon. Not once didn't get make him seem like he was trouble (even though I know he was) and when I picked him up he seemed happy and not the least bit stress to be there. He even has the cutest bandana! I first took my pup to Going Mutts a month ago. He looked beautiful and I was very please. The groomer, Stephanie, recommended that I bring him back in one month because he was a tad difficult to groom. It was his second time going to a groomer. I made the appointment and brought him in as scheduled. When I went to pick him up he was let out into to the shop and fortunately for me, another customer was able to catch him for me. I am elderly and disable and unable to chase him. When she called me to pick him up, she upped the price. Her perogative, of course. I believe it would have been more professional to notify me in advance. You only get to do that to me once, so I am sorry that I cannot recommend. At least the other customers got a bit of a warning. They typically do a mediocre to poor job. There's always an excuse for why my dog wasn't cut correctly. The system of keeping track of preferred haircuts is poor, I always have to explain how I want my dog groomed which I do in detail and his face is never cut. They always cut his tail when I explicitly say not to. Today I paid for extra paw pad treatments and teeth brushing a see no difference. My dog comes home agitated and upset, it's not worth it don't do it. read more

We love Going Mutts. After switching from Fur and Feathers (didn't like how they groomed my Bichon) we found this place and have been going ever since. Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment right away and we can't always get in the same day, but we love how they groom our dogs. Took my dog in for a trim and they made him bleed from his top and bottom ears they said it was normal for him to bleed cause he was matted he came out with a rash and irritated eyes supper red , also they over cut his nails & also he has inflammation on both his ears , mind you they said it would take 2 hours and took about 5 hours with him I called within the 2 hours he was in and they said he was almost done so I head over and call again to see if he was done and They said he wasn't done that he needed 45 more min that they had just started on him , and very unprofessional " cash only " but if it's was a legit place they would all accept card ! Randomly found this salon on Google. I made sure to call first. The associate was very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. I took my dog in shortly after and was treated with Class A attention, help, and courtesy. They have a great staff, great prices, but ABOVE ALL do an excellent job with the dogs. Tina has a way with animals. She is so good with my old dogs. They are arthritic and she handles them with kid gloves and they always come home smelling great, with their nails nicely manicured.. Took my dog here to get groomed about 2 weeks ago. I will never take him back again! He was kept there for about 6 hours and when I picked him up he was shaking. I dont know what they did to him but since that day he doesnt want to sleep in his bed and he goes straight to my daughters room any stays in the bed with them. When I go to get him he start shaking like if I'm gonna hurt him! He has not been the same since the day I took him there! Will never return again or let anyone keep my dog for that long!!! read more

She told us she would call when she got there to cut his hair but by this time it was about to be 9 pm! So we called to tell her we're going to grab the dog to bring him home and she turned her phone off and her daughter wouldn't answer the phone at the shop! After having multiple conversations about my previous review while it was owned and operated by someone else, I decided to give them another try. She assured me the groomer I had issues with was no longer there. Stephanie was the groomer that took care of my dog, Baby. The instructions were followed and my furbaby was perfectly groomed. I will be taking all 3 of my dogs back to Going Mutts. The owner trying to rebuild the reputation of this establishment, and in my opinion, she is off to a fantastic start. I always take my dog here, she just gets a bath & nails trimmed and ears cleaned. They do a great job very sweet with my dog.

I loved this place! They treated my fur baby with so much love. I was worried that with such good pricing ( $5.00 for a nail trim!) the customer service would not be the best but it was better than any of the other places I have been that charge 20. I decided to give this company a try based on the reviews and I am sorry I did! I called on Wednesday and set the appointment up for Friday, today, at 9:00. I am always a little early so I arrived at 8:45 and the business said OPEN but no one was there. I thought someone might be in the back so I called and no answer. I waited in the car until 9:10 and decided to leave. If they weren't going to be there for my pups appointment they should have called!! So... The hours that they're open work wonderfully for me and my schedule. I do not recommend this groomer. The first time I took my dog there to get a hair cut they shampooed her. The groomer never showed and made me pay for the shampoo. I thought I would give them another chance just to be told they could not cut my dogs unless they gave her a sedative. the dog in question is a well behaved dog never had to have a sedative before. Both times they waited four hours before they called me. I WON'T BE GONIG BACK! I will drive all the way to Chester Lane to doggie doo groomers. read more

I had been taking my Brandie there for at least a year and suddenly it was closed and the number was not valid and then I passed by and it was open. I took her there and at first there was not a problem but I had an inexperienced girl and Brandie was her first dog, she had been coming there for some time I do not think a new person should had done her. It was not too bad but it she had better. I continued for a few more months and all of a sudden there was some guy there at the desk and he did not know how to do much at the desk. They could not find Brandie's name and when they called me to pick her up they called her the wrong name and when I got there at first they could not find her because they had her under Wendy. This place is not that large to lose a dog...really? Have not been back since then. read more

Wish I could leave no stars! Very unprofessional!!! Appointment was at 10 am. on Sunday. I called the shop, no answer so I called the cell phone number on the recording, once again no answer and voicemail box is full. So, I leave text messages to call me back. I leave the shop around 10:20 after standing outside waiting with my poor dog for 20 minutes. At around 12 I received a call from a gentleman at the shop stating that his boss asked him to call me because she didn't look at the schedule correctly and wanted me to bring the dog in to get groomed right then. I proceeded to tell him that I will not be bringing my dog in and I had read reviews after the fact and talked to a friend who said the same thing had happened to her on more than one occasion. I told him how unprofessional it was and I would not be using their services. Then, I received a call from the owner's cell phone, she blamed her staff and I told her the staff was blaming her. I basically told her to stop contacting me, that I would not be using her services. After I mentioned I would be leaving a bad review, she continued to text me and tell me she would groom my dog for free, leave me a $50 bill in an envelope at the shop, or pay to have him groomed somewhere else and gave me the name of another salon. In her texts she also blamed me for yelling, insulting and cussing at her, which I did not do at all. I asked her to quit contacting me, I would find my own groomer. Then I receive a call from another grooming business stating she had contacted them to get my dog groomed. WTF, this lady is beyond crazy and gives out your personal information to other people. I do not know how she keeps her business running. After talking to a few people, I have found EDGAR and he is AMAZING!
