After coming & seeing there was a wait, the hostess who had a frown & attitude the entire time told us it would be 15 min but we waited 30 min & she said the wait would be another hour so we left. The server looked overwhelmed and stressed out. so I politely waited ten minutes to get something to drink and place an order.. when my appetizer comes out I go to open my napkin for my silver ware and notice how filthy they were.. my wife opens her napkin and there is food on her fork. I proceed to Open 3 more napkins from opposite tables and they are all filthy.. Between the server looking like she hates her life and the dirty forks and spoons, I ended up just walking out of this place. This place is horrible. How does it have a 4 star rating?!? Tried breakfast two mornings in a row, totally different items and nothing was cooked right and it was all poor quality and way over priced. My colleagues and I had drinks on the bar side twice during our business meeting June 3-4. The female that served us seemed less than thrilled to wait on us. IDs were strictly required for everyone, I get that a couple in our group may look younger but for some of us in our 40s and 50s give me a break. But I get it, it's the law. Getting the bill was also a challenge since she never came back to check on us. And I know you have a lot of patrons to your hotel but the second night she asked us for IDs again as though she'd never seen any of us. We had breakfast on our last day there before heading to the airport and the waitress really wanted to push us to the buffet. We persisted and ordered off the menu. They also seated us out of the way since we had luggage but there were too many tables and chairs in our area, she was handing waters down the table. Not very sanitary when 3 people touch it before you do. The breakfast was decent. Hoards of people were coming in from tours, to the buffet. read more

I came here for a breakfast meal, and let me just say; it was great. I got a breakfast buffet, and it was for a reasonable price. I got it for about $12. Kids also eat free. The foods I ate were the scrambled eggs, breakfast pancakes, sausages, and pancakes. Everything I got was hot and ready to eat. Everything also tasted great. I had New Year's Day brunch this afternoon. As guests of the hotel after last night's event, I looked forward to this being an added perk. I was disappointed in the lack of quality customer service as provided by a woman who seemed to be a manager or something, as she was wearing different garb than everyone else in uniform. We waited and watched staff clear tables while we awaited a seat, when there was other available cleared seating. Once the possible manager/hostess did come over to seat us, instead of greeting us warmly, she commented that we had "really waited to the last moment" to come down for a brunch that was advertised as being available until 1:30pm. We walked into the restaurant around 12:50pm. It was a buffet- the food was ok. There was quite a bit of variety, and the fruits and vegetables were very fresh. The woman who ended up waiting our table was very considerate, responsive, and timely. If you're in Rapid for a visit you might want to try another local restaurant though, there are so many great ones with amazing food at similar/better price points. read more

We are staying here for a dog show and were too tired to go out. On a Saturday night we were 1 of only 2 tables. Food was great. We had the steak salad, pork chop and Parmesan melt. All were awesome! We had a great experience here for dinner and breakfast. I believe our server for dinner was Ronald. He was very kind and even got a map for us and told us about places to visit around the area. Food was delicious too. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak. He said it was cooked perfectly. We stayed at the hotel and decided to enjoy the breakfast buffet as well. They had an omelette and waffle station. Both were divine and the young lady making them was very friendly. Our waitress was attentive and nice as well. This place is a hidden secret! This place not only has amazing food but an amazing staff as well! Chef Jacob is the best! My Dad and I both have allergies and Jacob and the staff go above and beyond. Jacob will make special gluten free fries which by the way r to die for. They offer gluten free sandwich buns for those who have celiac's like my Dad. They also offer gluten free pizza and now they offer gluten free, yeast free, peanut free, corn free wraps. They r also now trying to work on adding allergy free deserts. If u ever need anything while eating here ask for Josh he is the restaurant manager or for Jacob the amazing chef. Erin is the assistant manager for the restaurant and she is awesome. Bar tenders / waiters Mike, Andy and Brandon r the best! Truly an amazing place! This restaurant is inside the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn so if looking for a great place to stay that has a restaurant here is the place. Also I know when people think of a restaurant in side a motel they think, o dear this place is gonna be so expensive.
