When we realized that our inground pool was leaking, we panicked. How could any company find a leak in the pipes without digging up a large area of pavers and digging underground? Gold Coast Swimming Pools saved the day! One man blew air into the filter while another used a device to listen for noise through the pavers. By listening for a change in sound, they were able to determine exactly where the leak was and do minimal damage to repair it. They carefully removed four pavers, broke through the cement below, and replaced the leaking pipe. Then the hole was covered, the pavers were neatly replaced and the area is good as new. They took the time and did the effort that was needed to do an outstanding job. We could not be happier with the work. read more

I was going to fill in my pool because it was 60 years old and in complete disrepair. I had no less then 7 companies come and tell me that the foundation was cracked due to an thick extra layer of mortar someone put on top of the beam. Jennifer from Gold Coast came in and said it wasn't and she gave me a very reasonable quote to fix it. I decided to do it and boy am I glad I did. Not only does the pool look brand new, but she went above and beyond what I expected and make everything brand new. Her crew is hardworking and neat and they did an amazing job. Jennifer has been working with pools her entire life and it really shows. Even in an environment where you can't get things quickly, she was able to get me everything I needed right on time. We hired Gold Coast Pools to detect a leak in our pool. The servicemen that came here were excellent and efficient, explaining everything to us and did everything that they possibly could to help us so, this negative review has nothing at all to do with them. Unfortunately Linda and Vin in the customer service department were rude, condescending, abrupt, and completely unprofessional. To make a long story short we called to get Gold Coast pools over to our home in mid May and were told that the servicemen would not be able to come to us until the second week of June because they were extremely backed up. They showed up here on May 27 unannounced and attempted to find a leak in our pool but unfortunately they could not use all of the equipment and tools at their disposal to detect the leak because our pool was still cloudy and green and not clean because as I said we were not expecting them for another 2 1/2 weeks. The service man tightened up a loose PVC pipe over by the filter and said that it was dripping and that he felt that that could be the cause for all of the water we were losing in the pool because he was unable to detect any leaks in our lines. I told them that I was fairly confident that the slow drip that he found by the filter could not possibly account for the amount of water that we were losing but we would give it a few days and we would see what happens and in the event we were still losing water in the pool we would get the water all clear so that they could come back and finish a full assessment by using the equipment that they put at the floor of the pool which they could not use the first time because the pool was not clear and they would not be able to see down to the floor. I called the office yesterday to schedule an appointment for them to come back here and had the absolute displeasure of speaking with Linda who is the most abrasive and rude condescending and extremely incompetent customer service representative that I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. She was extremely dismissive and told me that they had already issued a refund to my card (which they owed me because they overcharged me by $50) and that the service was complete and that they did not owe me anything and that the owner would get back to me in a week or so when she gets around to it and proceeded to hang the phone up on me. I called Gold Coast pools on May 27 while the servicemen were here in my backyard to let the office know that we were not expecting them for another 2 1/2 weeks and as a result our pool was not clear and that the servicemen would need to come back and use all of the equipment once we had the pool clear at no charge to me which Vin in the office confirmed would not be a problem but now in speaking with Linda she is telling me that they are not coming back they are not doing it for free they don't owe me anything and continues to hang the phone up on me. This is not how you treat customers who are paying you a lot of money to provide a service and I would tell anyone who would listen to steer clear of Gold Coast Pools. It is most unfortunate that I need to write a negative review warning other consumers to beware because the servicemen seem to really know what they are doing and they were polite they were professional and the problems that we are experiencing with the company have nothing to do with them and everything to do with the incompetent condescending unprofessional customer service team. read more

Gold Coast pools replaced my in ground pool lines that were 50 years or so old.This required the pavers to taken up,dig up and remove old pipe, replace with new heavy duty pipe and put everything back as if nothing was repaired.That is what Gold Coast did and you would never know it was repaired at all,seemless. Customer service was terrible. I had an appointment for someone to come out to check my pool liner for a leak. Was told they will arrive by the afternoon that day. Stayed home all day waiting, never showed. No call, no nothing. The weekend passes, still no contact or explanation for the missed appointment. Sent an e mail to the owner, Jennifer, asking what happened; STILL no answer. Great way to impress a new customer. Found out who their closest competitor is, called them, made a new appointment. This pool company came highly recommended by the people that installed my pool. We hired Gold Coast to do our weekly maintenance and our closing for last summer. This summer my husband and I opened the pool and discover the crack in the pipe (pictures attached) and came to the conclusion that the pipes were not fully blown out for the closing causing the pipe to crack over winter. We also got other pool companies to tell us their conclusion, which was the same. Water freezes in the pipe causing the pipe if not blown out correctly to crack. So after emailing and phone calls back and forth to Gold Coast, they stated it was not their fault and they would not fix the pipe. Not an expensive fix but just something that could have easily been taken care of by the company if they just took some accountability. So I would never recommend this company to anyone. Maybe they got to big and don't care about losing a client. Gold Coast didn't care at all, so I'm just spreading the word, so other pool owners don't have to deal with this. read more
