In addition to treating Sully like a part of the family, we also know Amanda is highly qualified and experienced in case something happens. We never worry about Sully and he is always super excited when we arrive and immediately ditches us to go play with his friends (aka the best feeling ever for us)! We trust Amanda to take care of Sully the same way we do and we are so glad we have found her.

Every other option consisted of kennels with scheduled exercise and social breaks. At Sama Dog my Sparky was quickly and easily incorporated into the home life of Amanda and Renee and their two dogs, Violet and Bennie. Amanda listened carefully to my concerns and desires for Sparky as he had recently been experiencing significant separation anxiety with all the changes in our lives. She sent me daily videos and messages. Sparky slept in the bed with her and Renee as he is used to sleeping with me. She worked on methods to calm his barking and anxiety. She makes healthy dog biscuits which he loves. I could tell her attention and care was focused on Sparky's well-being. It was if he was away at a private camp. Sama Dog is any pet owner's dream and source of peace-of-mind. Sparky ended up staying 8 nights due to extenuating circumstances. When I picked him up he was clean, healthy and very happy. His barking and anxiety has noticeably lessened. I am so grateful for Amanda. I can 100%, unequivocally recommend Sama Dog to any pet owner!!

I should have done a review a long time ago but this has been my vet since 2019 and I absolutely…read morelove them. I have 3 cats, 2 who are special needs and they have helped them so much. They were both misdiagnosed at their previous vet and have thrived from the care at Pine Creek. I also find their prices quite affordable for how often I'm in there but more than that I feel like they love my pets as much as I do and they're in good hands. I recently did a dental procedure on my cat who also has a heart condition. To say I was nervous was an understatement but they answered all my questions about medications and his heart and I felt completely safe taking him in. During the procedure, they kept me updated on his progress and their findings and he did great, healed up quickly and is just fine now. I think the best thing is that they are open Monday-Saturday 8-6pm because it gives me peace of mind. One of the biggest downsides to living in this area is not having a 24 hour ER vet nearby but knowing my vet is open until 6 even on Saturdays eases my mind a little bit. I actually found Pine Creek because I was watching my parent's dog years ago and something happened but the vet she went to was closing at 5 and wouldn't see her even though it was only 4:45pm. They told me Pine Creek was open until 6pm and when I called they got her right in and we were there until around 8pm. Not only did they help her for what I brought her in for but they told me about a new drug on the market for arthritis in dogs that my parents ended up trying and it seemed to really help her in her last few years. I will always highly recommend Pine Creek.

I was sooo happy to realize when I got there that it's the SAME awesome doctors! I I got to see Dr. Cahoon today just for an annual exam and update some vaccines on my Kona Bear and again, I and my dog child left happy. A few quick pokes which my dog didn't even notice with the great Vet nurse that poked him and we left with some natural supplements for my dogs mild skin allergies. Dr mentioned some new allergy treatments... I think it was called Cytopoint...? Seems like a great option if his allergies don't get better and I was impressed because I'm obsessed with my dogs health and had never heard of this! Thank you for listening to my rambling over concerned dog parent concerns!! Sincerely, crazy dog mom.

The first time, the receptionist (middle aged woman) acted like I was completely inconveniencing her by wanting to get the dog I found scanned for a chip, and she was very short with me. They told me they knew the dog, but would not hold onto it for the owner and would not give me the owners phone number to contact them. It was really strange. The second time I brought in a very large rambunctious dog I found wandering to get scanned for a chip, and one of the techs (young female) made a very snide remark to me about him not being neutered. I was just trying to do a good deed and get the dog reunited with his owner, yet I was judged for the way the dog was acting and it wasn't even my dog! Again they wouldn't hold onto the dog to find the owner and I had to drive him all the way up to Placerville to the shelter. I never had any interactions with the vets, so I can't say anything about them. But the office staff leaves much to be desired. I will be taking my own pets to another vet clinic.
