I have never done actual business with this company, but what I will say is that I have seen their business trucks on the road/highway...driving with some road rage where they cut people off and flip people the bird (very unprofessional). I have photos of this guy flipping me the bird for no reason, while he is driving a Gold River Mechanical Inc truck with the phone number 916-652-6105 on the side of it. If this truck was stolen then I apologize to this business for my negative review. But when you drive a business truck with your company name and phone number on it...you better know damn well who the driver is and what type of person they are. Everyone has bad moments on the road where you might feel upset or angry at another driver, but when you are in a business truck you have to be the bigger person and let it go. If you want to handle it the right way then call the police or record the other driver...but you do not take it as an opportunity to be unprofessional. I see a lot of unprofessional drivers on the road, and when they have the business plastered on the side of their vehicle then I will take note and I will not conduct business with that company. I also will not write a negative review like this unless I have proof...so like I said, I have the photo of this guy flipping me the bird with the business name and phone number right below him. My hvac is located inside my home. I have had a small smell of gas coming from it for years. Unpleasant and concerning for health reasons. I've had PG&E out several times. Though they could smell it also, it was such a small amount that it barely registered on their detectors. They did not know where it was coming from and because it was a small amount, were not concerned. They referred me to my hvac company. My hvac company over the last several years could not find reason either. They thought it might be a faulty part and had it replaced , but smell continued. Frustrating. Yesterday a neighbor referred me to this company. Gold River Mechanical. I called and got same day appointment. Rusty (owner) came by and immediately identified problem and fixed. Gas smell gone. All in less than 30 minutes. I AM AMAZED! This man knows his business. And the price was very reasonable. I live in a manufactured home in a senior mobile home park. He knows hvac's in manufactured homes. That is a true blessing for us seniors. Many companies won't deal with manufactured homes. Or if they do, they don't know what they're looking at. Rusty does. And, on top of all this, he is a really nice man. Friendly, professional, genuine. His company family owned. I am so glad I contacted him and I will be a customer of his for years to come hopefully. Well, my previous review was hidden by Yelp. I don't Yelp a lot, maybe that is the reason. You have to be pretty sharp to convince me to go online and review you. I was so impressed with Gold River Mechanical's last service, I decided to have Rusty consult with me on why I wasn't getting balanced air in my house. In 10 minutes I had the answer. The house had been remodeled and the suspect ducts were not properly relocated/modified. I wanted to wait a few months before I put in a review so we could test the new system in both cold and hot weather. Last Winter, we needed a complete replacement of our Central AC/Heater system last winter. Out of 7 quotes, we chose Rusty and his team. They were not the lowest price, but not way off at all. To be fair, we needed some custom work done that was pretty much proposed differently by every company that came to see our system. What we liked about Gold River Mechanical is that they performed exactly what I needed, and owner Rusty was always involved from start to finish, and never sounded like a salesman. As a Realtor, I have used Rusty & crew multiple times over the years. Last year, my brother's air conditioner stopped working. After another company told him he needed a whole new unit, I recommend he have Rusty take a look at it. Turned out all it needed was a recharge, which saved my brother thousands of dollars. More recently, I had a client buying a house where the air conditioner failed to work at the home inspection. The seller told us that it just needed a recharge, so we had Rusty look at it to be sure. He showed us that the unit was not holding pressure, so a recharge would be a waste of money because the freon would simply leak out due to physical damage caused by a dog urinating on the air conditioner. Was getting bids in the range of $8 to +$11k for complete system replacement from other companies. Getting 3k difference for the same job did not seem right to me.
