My AC went out last night, and Lees Air responded the quickest. I contacted several HVAC companies and they responded very quickly. This was extremely important to us in the middle of July. They were able to wave the 99$ diagnosis fee. Johnathen came and was very professional. He was able to diagnosis the problem immediately and had the part handy. He went the extra mile and taped an area with UV resistant tape and he was nice enough to check the airflow coming out of the vents to make sure every concern of mine was addressed. In my opinion, this company is more focused on profit and growth than treating customers fairly. I called this company to repair an air conditioner blowing hot air during the summer months. The tech, Brad, arrived and began inspecting the unit on the roof. I was right over his shoulder watching him. He noticed that the furnace control computer board looked slightly discolored. He grabbed a black piece on this computer board with his pliers and attempted to pull it off, breaking this piece and permanently damaging the board itself. He wasn't called there to look at the heater, but it seemed like he was looking for any potential thing he could find. He eventually made it around to checking out the air conditioning system. He found that one of the capacitors had failed. He had a replacement capacitor in his van that he was able to wire in to get the air conditioner going again. He was in and out in well under 30 minutes. When it came time to pay the bill, I was offered a discount on the capacitor if I agreed to sign up for their maintenance/inspection program. It came out to $455, and this was cheaper than if I had not signed up for their inspection/maintenance program. I like to be a DIY person, so I couldn't help but look up what capacitors actually cost. There are many comparable capacitors to the one I was sold that cost under $50. I don't feel like I got very good value for what I received, not including the broken computer board. Upon receiving this invoice, I also received an estimate for nearly $900 to replace the newly broken computer board. I was able to purchase this same board on Amazon for under $300, and installed it myself in about 15 minutes. Since this visit, I have received several calls from this company from what seems to be a remote telemarketing service trying to schedule my routine plumbing and HVAC inspection. Given the first experience I had with the tech breaking my furnace control board, I am not interested in having this company inspect anything on my house. The way this situation played out makes me wonder whether the techs receive a percentage of the repairs they do, thus incentivizing them to find things to fix even if there's nothing broken yet. read more

Almost 2 years ago, Lee's installed a new heat pump in my house. The techs were great, and the installation experience was smooth. Unfortunately, within a month, it broke down. During a hot summer in 2024, I went over a month without A/C while Lee's fixed it temporarily, only to have to break again. And again. Eventually, they pulled the new heat pump out and installed a NEW new heat pump. Again, the actual people coming to my house were great. The communication between the office, the techs, and the customer was shaky, however. It took repeated calls to get someone to come out to do repairs once they'd gotten paid for the system and were now just covering the warranty. It is now April 2026. In March, I came home to find water dripping from my ceiling vents and the heat pump malfunctioning. When I called Lee's, the rep on the phone tried to tell me "that is normal when the A/C is turned back on." Nope. I have been waiting over a month for the right part Lee's says is needed to fix it. Today, I canceled a class I teach to be here for the long-awaited installation (after a month without heat or A/C). An hour after the tech was scheduled to arrive, after texting he would be here in 30 minutes, I got a text rescheduling the service call for tomorrow. I am forced to deal with this company because of the warranty. The moment it is up I'll never use them again, and I will warn everyone I know not to call Lee's. I'm not sure if they're just too big, or bad at communicating, or what, but my patience has run out. read more

Lees called me after I cancelled my membership over the insane price of the dishwasher installation. They offered to do it for $700 and a second year of a free membership which I declined. I ended up finding a local and licensed handyman who charges $275 for dishwasher removal AND installation. Lees company is greedy and disgustingly predatory. They tried to justify the outrageous price to me multiple times. Anything over $300 to install most appliances is outrageous, Home Depot doesn't even charge close to their numbers. Proceed with caution with this company. read more

I was really hoping this would have worked out better, but I think there's a communication issue happening internally. If I could, I'd give them 2.5 stars. Not the worst, but not the best. I let their dispatch people know I wouldn't be home, but I don't think they communicated that to their tech. The tech did the best they could with the information they had, but unfortunately, that left me with a hot house for longer than I had hoped. I ended up just repairing the unit myself. We originally worked with Crystal Blue in Loomis to install our QuietCool Whole-House Fan, so I called them to take a look when we couldn't switch the fan on anymore. Lee's has taken over for Crystal Blue it seems. The technician came out within a business day and was incredibly friendly. He reviewed our system and determined that the controller was no longer working. He stated that QuietCool no longer makes that controller and that we'd need to replace it with a new wireless one offered by QuietCool. The total cost would be just over $1000 to remove the old controller, buy the replacement wireless one, and install it. I am happy that I wanted to investigate further... I called QuietCool to ask them about replacement parts. They told me I could order the same wired controller I have now for $25 on Amazon or $30 from QuietCool. Replacing the controller is as simple as replacing a light switch (which I can do). In addition, I did look into the wireless switch that Lee's Air, Plumbing, and Heating recommended. That switch costs $150 retail and takes under an hour to install. No massive amount of rewiring work is needed. As I said, the tech was super friendly and very thorough in what they checked. But it is frustrating to be told that a part is no longer available when you can order it from the manufacturer, Home Depot, or Amazon, on top of hearing a fairly exorbitant price on installing a part. read more

Misleading practice. I communicate via only email, so all I get is the flat rate of 49 pricing. No disclaimer that is the price of the service call. I called to ask, they lady was rude. Total bill was $430, then I got a discount for $375. Very annoying practice of changing my appointment time for their convenience. I set up a date and confirmed it. They called a few days later asking to move it up. So annoying. Bad customer service to put that on the customers. I should have taken the advice of the one star reviews. read more

I cannot help but feel humiliated by this company. My task was cooling a small 200 sq ft garage room, and wanted a mini split installed. While I received a few quotes from other companies averaging $6k, I thought that was a bit excessive for this small room. Therefore, investigated buying my own mini-split and have professional installation. After a plethora of google research and few phone calls, the average installation was around $5k. In the Sacramento area, there are quite a few AC companies that are complete rip-offs. I called Lee's because they had a good rating on google, and a slightly lower rating on yelp. I informed them I wanted to get a quote on installing a mini-split I was buying, and they made an appointment to look. The technician gentleman was very friendly; however, I could not help but feel humiliated afterwards. Here's my experience: At first, I gave a quick explanation of my situation and he quickly said around $4800 for installation, but then continued to explain my need for a mini split to cool this small room. I was then told we don't install another units. Then we talked about my other quotes and was told I am not going to like his estimate if I thought $6k was too high. He did his thing on the tablet and quoted me a whopping $20K for a 200 sq ft room. He said it was a "Mitsubishi brand" not the other cheaper brand. (After he left, I looked up the cost of this so-called brand and the cost was around $2k +/- . My purchased brand being the same, around $2k) We spoke about Lee's policy on not installing purchased units, but he said let me call the office. I was then told a still whopping $18K for installation. We spoke a little more about how they do not install other units. While I totally understand this, I mentioned that it was okay, but explained I did say I wanted a quote for an installation of a purchased mini split when I called for an estimate. In my mind it would have saved the trouble of a trip for Lee's, right? However, I said that it was okay, I understand. He actually told me we can go to vehicle and hear the recording if I wanted. Really??? Was he trying to see if I lied, as if that was important. How humiliated I felt. Why would I lie, I don't care if you do not install other people's Mini-Splits, if you don't - you don't - why the hell would I want to hear my own conversation I had with dispatch. Would that reverse your decision to install one? No, so why say it! This company does have good ratings and quite frankly I do not know if my experience was a single humiliating experience to stop a sale or customers just do not realize they can get an installation of a mini split from just about any other company for far less. To me the cost provided is insanely high, and I felt ripped off and humiliated to think their offer was a reasonable offer for a small room. They did offer financing as if that makes it okay to charge $20k for a 200 sq ft room. The other companies offered me the same financing but at $6K. I was not aware they sent me a quote via email. I only saw the email later that night. The email had the documented quote, but it was at $18.5k not $20k, for a full installation and another document stating, me, the customer thought they would install a purchased unit when they do not. As if that makes things legal. I would stay away from Lee's; that is my opinion. If you had a better experience and are okay with paying $20k for a 200 sq ft room, then good for you. We live in California where everything is overcharged, and Californians think that it is okay because they do not realize or do not care that just about any other state is far cheaper for the same exact devices and same exact labor. I know I babbled on, but this is just my personal experience. Hopefully, you do not have the same experience - do your research and please look at several companies before choosing Lee's. read more

I cannot express how much Appreciation and a Life Saver they are. I called around so many places and no one would be able to come over until Monday (5 days waiting period)...My 1 1/2 years old AC unit went out when it was 102 degrees Wednesday afternoon. I called Lee's Air, Plumbing, and Heat and was able to scheduled an appointment immediately after hours 5-7 pm. The receptionist then said I can get a tech there actually sooner 10am -12 pm which was even better! Lance Sarnecki was my Tech and thank you thank you! Will be using this company from now on! The best part about this company is they are so tech savvy! You get a picture of you tech and can track their whereabouts (like you would on a share ride app). You get a email receipt so you know exactly what was done and charged. I emailed, through Yelp, a bunch of HVAC companies late last night and was surprised I received a response within minutes from Lee's. I was able to book an appointment for the following day for furnace maintenance. David from Lee's showed up exactly on time for our scheduled appointment. He wore a mask as to protect from COVID-19 and minimized all unnecessary contact. David was curious, knowledgeable and respectful. When he entered my home he even put on shoe slip covers, just to keep my carpet clean. David answered all of my questions about possibly putting in a second thermostat controller to separate upstairs controls from downstairs. We looked at pricing and he even recommended a cheaper and more modern option of a ductless system, which I wouldn't have even known about. David did an amazing job maintaining my Furnace and explaining different options for future temperature comfort ideas. I've worked with different HVAC service techs but this will definitely be my go to this day forward. He even threw in free filters for my system. I highly recommend David from Lee's HVAC to do your next service. From email, scheduling, to work completion was less than 24-hours and I still have not heard from the other HVAC companies. read more

They were able to get us an appointment quickly, which was helpful, however, they charged $104 for the diagnostic and then quoted me an additional $574 to replace a part that cost me $20 at Lowes and took a few minutes and a YouTube video to replace on my own. On top of that, I asked if I could have the part name or part number since I did pay $100 for the diagnostic, and they said the technician didn't write down the part type or part number so they didn't have it to give to me. We had our heating and air replaced by this company this past summer. The new air conditioner stopped working that same day, which a tech did come out to fix the problem. One of the vents was also incorrectly measured so the wrong size filter was brought on the day of install. A few days later we had an appointment for the correct filter to be placed. The tech came and then realized he was given the wrong size filter once again. So he left to go get the correct filter and came back a couple hours later. He was extremely nice and apologetic, and I felt bad that he was running around in the hundred degree weather. . It was just frustrating that my work was being disrupted a couple times in the same day. The city, then came out a couple weeks later to do the final inspection and sign off on the permit. And it did not pass inspection. We waited a few weeks and never heard back from Lee's on when someone was going to come out to complete what the city recommended. I called the office And it sounded like the ball was dropped. They then scheduled a tech to come out to do what was needed. And then I had to schedule another appointment with the city and the inspection was finalized. Last month, Lee"s came out to do a maintenance inspection. it was noticed that our30 year old air ducts are bad and may need to be replaced. We were told we would be sent an estimate. We were extremely frustrated that this was not caught in the summer when we had the entire system installed. We then waited a couple weeks with no estimate sent to us. I called the office yesterday and asked for the estimate. The receptionist said that someone was supposed to call us to schedule an appointment for another tech to come out to do another inspection and to do an estimate. I asked why no one has called us and she was only able to apologize. We made the appointment today between 10 AM and noon. At 1 PM no call and no one came by our house. My husband called the office and was told that the tech had a family emergency. And that we would need to reschedule. We've been sitting here waiting all this time for nothing. We are extremely patient people and understand that things happen which is probably why we put up with so much with this company. But this was the final straw. We paid a lot of money to have both systems installed. And we wish that we went with a different company from day one. read more

The plumber who came to my house to unclog my drain did a good job at that. But he failed to make sure that the plastic pipes under the kitchen sink, which he disconnected, did not have any leaks. I spent the better half of 2 hours going back and forth to Lowes to get the equipment I needed to fix it. Considering the price they charged, you would think this would be included. read more

I replaced a toilet flow valve that wouldn't stop running and then couldn't stop the old cheap metal inlet line or angle shutoff stop from leaking so had to shut off the main. Chris arrived early, replaced all the old leaking hardware at that toilet and also replaced a potential problem with a shark bite stop valve on a different toilet that a friend had performed work on and was concerning to me. I really can't say enough about this company. We had a particularly difficult HVAC problem to diagnose and that ultimately involved a factory defect. Todd and John worked tirelessly with the factory and elevated the issue to the factory's engineering department and then finally to the head engineer. Even then it was these two gentlemen that discovered the defect and fixed it. Todd and John could have easily given up but insisted that our HVAC unit work correctly. Finally, John is extraordinary at explaining complex issues to a lay person in an understandable fashion. Thank you both. read more

Well, it's July in Vacaville and my AC konks out on a Friday evening. The woman on the phone and the technician were polite and friendly and the service call was done two hours after my call on Saturday morning. I had a capacitor go out before and suspected it was the same problem. There was a $69 weekend surcharge which I thought okay that's understandable and a diagnostic fee of $99, again to be expected. It turned out to be a faulty capacitor. It was replaced, but I felt that the capacitor supplied was overpriced. After discussion with their General Manager, Tyson Freeman, my concerns were resolved to my satisfaction. In conclusion, it is not often in this day and age that you can deal with a contractor that really cares about customer satisfaction. I recommend this company. read more
