I have never had basil pesto, or any other pesto, on a pizza! I will give the Recovery Room another chance and will try the Margarita pizza again. But, I will ask for fresh basil and be specific that the pesto is not to contaminate the pizza. My long experience with pizza making is that they must be cooked on a stone and the oven must be 500F or higher to get the crust the way I like it.
