am not sure what the Hype is all about with this Food because I ordered a Large Pepperoni Pizza on Saturday April 18TH, 2026 and it was not good at all. It was a Delivery and it arrived slightly warm, dry and kinda hard and tasteless. It almost had taste of like wet Cardboard. Crust was hard like rock. It was Gross. Is this the Best New London has to Offer?...I have eaten some really Delicious Pizza and this is the second Delivery I have tried here in New London and it is Laughable.*New Visit at the Physical location - I just got back to New London from Torrington CT. And my Friend was Driving and I asked him if he was Hungry and he said he would surprise me lmao, he pulled into the parking lot of Pizzarama and said this is great food and I laughed. If you are looking for an authentic Greek pizza with a perfect crunchy crust then this is the place! The pizza is consistently great but what really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The owner Anthony is incredibly gracious. He Makes a point to greet and chat with everyone who walks in m.Anthony is the heart of the restaurant. Dont order the veggie pizza! I ordered a small and the bottom was wet, the veggies too large and RAW, and surprisingly tasteless. The peppers were nasty and chewy and for some reason the chef put full layers of each veg so the wet crust had no chance of holding up and the sauce and cheese were invisible compared to the masses of raw unseasoned veg. They don't have a chicken caesar salad, but they do have a grilled chicken salad that you can get with a side of caesar dressing. Close enough. I've gotten the grilled chicken salad twice now & both times the chicken has been cooked to perfection. The tomatoes were fresh & sliced thin. The portion was generous. Pizzarama Drive-In, New London, CT I'm here to rate only one thing - their incredibly delicious sausage & mushroom pizza!  In fact, that's all I've ever ordered.  But, because of the taste and texture of their crust, plus the flavor of their sauce and mozzarella, their other pizzas are bound to be equally excellent. Not greasy.  Crispy, chewy crust.  Superb-tasting pizza tomato sauce.  Nice big chunks of delicious sausage, instead of little crumbly bits.  Wonderful mozzarella flavor. The atmosphere is clean and tidy, but dated and in need of a re-do.  But, honestly, I've been in much more attractive pizza parlors that served terrible pizza.  I'll give them a pass on the decor, especially at times like this when businesses are failing everywhere due to the pandemic. I see many people ordering different entrees instead of a pizza pie, so I'll bet they do a bang-up job on their dinners, as well.  Let's all give them our business, so they can afford to redecorate.  Hah!  I recommend their pizza very highly!! read more

My husband visited this establishment today; the following is his review... I stopped for lunch at Pizzarama. It was awful. But they alleged to have been in business for 60 years! At one point, a worker came out with a giant vat of pizza dough and scraped it out onto the counter, repeatedly reaching over it to pull it further out of the vat, each time inadvertently pressing into it with his belly. Workers were everywhere behind the counter preparing customer's food. They touched everything with their hands. And while I realize that touching the food, even with an ungloved hand, is a sometimes necessary part of preparing food, the manner in which these workers touched the food was as common and nonchalant as scratching your nose, or behind your ear, which for all I know, was happening in between. At least in some restaurants, a chef will touch food with their hand, but only on a corner, simply to adjust it. But these workers did everything with their hands. One server used both hands to scoop chunks of pre-cut and pre-cooked sausage out of a plastic tub. One server broke up handfuls of white onion slices on top of a salad, apparently ignoring the more civilized approach of say, chopping it with a knife. Their slogan was, "Pizza with personality". But it should have been, "We make it all by hand". I won't be going back to Pizzarama. The workers were big contributors to my disgust. You might say, they had a hand in it. read more

I'm giving this place a 2 star rating because it seems like it's well loved. I didn't get to try the pizza, so I can't judge that part of the menu. I ordered the Langoustine grinder, which turned out to be seafood salad. It definitely did not have langoustine or anything resembling lobster, even though they called it that (and charged for that). It was definitely imitation crab meat, and I am not a fan. The bread was delicious, so I'm sure other grinders are amazing. When I came in to pick up my order, the guy behind the counter accidentally flipped the entire contents of my sandwich onto a table top as I watched... and then proceeded to use his bare hands to scoop the ingredients back into the bread. They were all very nice, so I tried to let it go and just eat the sandwich... but it was so gross. I ordered a grapenut pudding, which they wrapped it up to go. I'm so glad I opened it while in the restaurant, because it was completely covered in mold. When I asked for a refund, they said several times they'd get me a new one, and I just stuck to my guns on that one. At that point, I was not trusting their sanitation practices. Today I went to Pizzarama in New London, CT. It has been about 10 years since I last ate here. I ordered a BLT grinder, lightly toasted and a diet soda. Both arrived at the same time. I wish the soda come sooner. My waitress was very pleasant. The BLT grinder was great! Fresh, hot, the right amount of bacon. It is loud inside with the constant chatter from the kitchen. And pizza pans clanging together. Also I did not hear any music inside, I listened to Pandora on my phone. A good experience, just a little slow on food and soda delivery. Every time I visit from Florida this is usually one of my first stops for pizza. I love the crust and their pepperoni is awesome. They usually cook the pizza a little on the well done side but I actually prefer it that way. I visit this shop just about every Friday in my way to work, I care for a lovely elderly woman who has Alzheimer's disease and every Friday I bring her a half of my grinder and we dine together! Well yesterday I called and placed my order as usual for my sandwich ok moving forward I fixed our plates and noticed the bread was stale, not good,but I figured it would soften WRONG-O ! First time we tried Pizzarama last night. Decided to splurge and have 2 large "langostino lobster" grinders. I have little doubt there was either langostinos or lobster in there, but it was indiscernable. But what WAS discernable was that $2 a pound fake crabmeat which is all we (3 of us) could taste or see. At just over $41 for the 2 sandwiches, it was a splurge for us and we were ripped off by a false description. The bread and lettuce and tomato was all fresh and I'm sure they make a very good grinder, and I'd like to try something else another time, but I feel I got taken by a dishonest description. Maybe something got mixed up - seafood salad. We ate the sandwiches later and couldn't call, but it is very disappointing that they'd describe something as lobster or langostinos that is just seafood salad everywhere else. We know the difference as most people do in this area where everyone's got lobster salad on the menu in the summer. read more

I have not been in for a while, but I never had a problem there. Pizza was alright-tasted good and was inexpensive. It probably helped that I was half in the bag or outright drunk many of the times that I stopped in to eat. Plus they put out coupons every now and then. The pizza here is awesome! Thicker crust, sauce was delicious. We had a Greek salad which was basic but the homemade Italian dressing and chunky blue cheese were really good. The staff looks old school Italian and I just loved it in here. Definitely a nice place to stop at if your driving thru. My daughter even ate the crust, and that never happens. read more

This Restaraunt has been in New London for years. I can remember going here to get pizza when I was a little girl. They used to have the best pizza in town second to Ocean Pizza. Now the take out pizza is less than edible, often burnt, cold, with miserly toppings and cheese. The dine in service is almost as bad. The waitresses are very friendly but the service is terrible. The wait time for your order is 20 minutes, you have to ask for your drinks three times and may never get it & the pizza is burnt and not delicious. What a shame....
