Excellent bagels with lox on my birthday! We were on our way to BlockIsland and this was the perfect spot before getting on the ferry from Montauk. Malique was kind enough to wash off our picnic table. He did a great job (ignored the other table but who's watching) and we sat outside and loved our coffee and the food.... This spot has a little motel next door that might be a great location to stay if your planning g a trip to block island and don't need to be directly on beach.... Maybe it is a style of this franchise deli, lol. TERRIBLE service must be the best way to describe the deli. So unorganized, staff avoid taking order and make lots of mistake on the order. I was wondering why reviews are so bad and when I experience by myself everyone is right! everyone's breakfast was 10/10, we all got different sandwiches and none of them disappointed! we didn't wait too long either to order and were all able to make our coffees ourselves to our liking (they have a bunch of creamers and milks available to mix in), the staff could have been a bit nicer-some were a little snappy when there wasn't even a line behind the customers but overall a good spot to grab some breakfast in the hamptons read more

They aren't rude but they're not nice. Bagels are not good. They should be ashamed to call those bagels let alone in Long Island! Prices are completely rude and ridiculous. What happened to Four Oaks? Four Oaks Gourmet Deli many years in Montauk by the harbor.. is part of the past. Goldberg's Deli sign up.. Not showing on Yelp or the other Goldberg's website locations... though seems to be one of them. Stopped into to try this Goldberg's Deli. It had flagels, bagels, tuna, white fish, coffee, tea, etc.. Not a ton of them but that will change in season.. and was happy to have a flagel in Montauk. Working there is a real Jennifer Hudson lookalike... says she hears it all the time. The building has a for sale sign on it.. which means you can buy it and be the landlord.. but since its Montauk likely won't be selling any time soon.. Owner likely wants a an outrageous price. So here it is... Goldberg's not on the map or Yelp but open a year the girl said.. Glad to have them. read more

Good afternoon. Today June 17 2024 I stopped in at the Goldberg harbor store in Montauk I ordered a raisin bagel with cream cheese. When I got home and I wrapped the bagel which I asked to have cut Into fourths for my grandkids I was taken back by the small amount of cream cheese on the bagel. My grandchildren ate their fourths as they were starving however I took a video to show exactly the amount of the bagel. I went back and spoke to the manager Heidi. She said she would give me a small amount t of CC In a small container trainer to add to what was left which was the half because kids had already taken bites. She said I can't help you sir. I am so taken back by the lack of consumer support she gave me. A bagel! I live and support all business' in Montauk. This is disgraceful. Omg Goldberg last made the best breakfast sandwich. I was in Montauk on a trip for a family wedding and it's my first time here. I wanted to go see the light house and thought.... hm let me get breakfast and bring it it the light house and enjoy the view. That's exactly what I did. The hobo sandwich was delicious and huge. I ate it all in the swings near the night house. No shame. It was delicious. As far as coffee, I love that they have non dairy choices!!!! I was grateful. The lines were long (makes sense because this is a touristy area) and the bagels and coffee were just okay. I have better bagels often back on western Long Island ‍ it also seemed expensive for what I got, but that's also part of it being in a touristy area. read more

Once you're eating your food, you're good. But getting your order fulfilled feels like it's a mission. We ordered 4 bagels with pretty standard elements, either BEC, cream cheese, or egg salad. We waited 15+ mins for the whole order to be fulfilled. The first guy took our order, started it, and then left... and then the other folks were confused on what was ours. It was a mess. Smooth out the experience and then it won't feel like you're crushed when you pay over $10 for a bagel sandwich and coffee. Had the chance to stop into this spot during the weekend to grab a coffee. This visit was also during COVID times so I was curious to see what safety precautions the deli would take with it's customers. Seems as if the only requirement they have is you have to wear a mask inside. No capacity limit or social distancing enforced. The coffee was decent and fairly priced. They are legitimately so slow I cant believe I keep coming here expecting fast service. Even their writing speed is slow. The food is good, but holy crap it is so slow. They aren't rude but they aren't nice. The place is decently clean but yet again its just so slow. 15 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese, only customer in there. My bagel sat there for about 5 minutes I watched it sit there after being toasted while the lady sat on her phone. Cash register- so slow. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to walk in, make two coffees, and try to walk out. Trying to pay for the coffees seemed like an impossible task unless you've ordered something from the counter. 5-6 people taking orders, one person manning a register, who is consumed with the people who took the orders. Hence, ignoring the customers that just want to come in, grab a cup of coffee, and go. I wanted to give this place my coffee business, and perhaps get a hero or a breakfast sandwich in the coming days during my trip, but when you can't seem to do the simple things right, I lose confidence. Went here twice while in Montauk. If you like confusion and some mild chaos when ordering coffee and a bagel, this place is for you.

This place was a great find while staying around the block. The lines for bagels v. all other menu items are clearly marked without any confusion. The staff was accommodating when looking to add to an order while already paying at the register. This place is horribly run. They have a main order line and a line for bagels only but don't tell you that they aren't serving the bagels only line. No sign no heads up nothing. Just let you stand there forever. Then after waiting in the regular line and telling them you just need bagels, they ignore you and blow you off.
