Jan 23, 2026, Goldco charged my wife $236.85 per ounce for silver when the market value today was$103.33 Asking Price per ounce of silver, and available on eBay for $112.70 per ounce selling price of silver. Attached are pictures of the Goldco statement, eBay pricing (typical of those selling silver) and Market Asking Price. We have demanded a full refund of $8,000. If the doubled-price silver is sent to us, it will not be accepted. This scam outfit needs to be closed down. I will paste this crime activity on the Federal Bureau of Investigation Government Yelp site. The Federal Government should require these so-called metal "dealers" to conform to a standard protocol of detailed purchase information (a full disclosure) which includes how much silver for what price! Many unaware people can be taken advantage and stripped of their life-long savings. The FBI should be investigating these crimes. Where are you FBI? We paid $8,000 for $4,000 worth of silver. Again, where are you FBI? Goldco stated they would refund the total amount of $8,000. Regardless, I plan to visit our local FBI office in Dalton, GA and ask why they haven't put these scammers out of business. I specifically asked the Goldco rep to buy 1 oz. American Eagle coins and take advantage of the free gold/silver promotion. The representative said I can only get free silver. I was not told that a special bonus in coins was good only if you bought the premium silver. The guy I talked to at first did not make sure I knew the specific rules for the promotion. They seem easy and trustworthy to start, but the more questions you ask and the more you learn, the worse it gets. They make their money off the way they buy and sell and pressure you to follow their model. Your account value will show much lower than what you put into it. They use complex and non-transparent price structure to hide their personal profits. All the guarantees and "promises" are based on 3-5 year minimums. So for those years, you have to sit on edge and try not to fret about how much of your precious savings seem to have disappeared. My account is only 1 year old. I have since hired an adviser who quickly determined how fishy Goldco is. I'm hoping he can help me get a fair buyback price and get out soon. Not sure what will be a bigger loss: selling early or paying the high fees for another 2 years. read more

When I went to Goldco to buy bullion I was steered into purchasing gold coins at a premium of 81% and silver coins at a premium of 151% although this was not immediately revealed to me at the time. Now almost 4 years later evidently these coins are not nearly worth the outrageous premiums that I originally paid as Goldco is stalling to buy back the coins. They did offer me a low ball price to buy back the coins which in my opinion is disgraceful. What happened to the coins being so much better than buying bullion? At this point, I do not recommend dealing with GoldCo. I rolled over 2 payments of $300,000 each for a total of $600,000 from my 401K. The rollovers occurred 3 months apart. I received notice that the first assets were purchased. It took months for my second rollover to show up at my custodian, Equity Trust. During the interim, when asking GoldCo what was taking so long, I was told that my purchase was being "minted". Then I started asking why Equity Trust only valued them half the value of what I paid when GoldCo told me it was worth double. I kept asking why the difference in value and the items purchased were not what I asked for. I received coins I had never heard of. What happened? When reaching out to my account rep to understand, I was told I needed to wait for three years before I could sell them. He kept mentioning the price guarantee in the agreement that I would get the "best price". I began to get nervous so I asked for what price they would give me to buy back the assets. I talked to my financial advisor, and it turns out they sold me coins and were charging premiums between 83% to 97% above spot. Outrageous!!! Based on my experience DO NOT BUY from GoldCo. Clearly, they are taking advantage of folks by not being transparent in sharing the full pricing structure - meaning the cost of the assets + their spread/commission/margin. SPOT on this day Spot was $4,589.00 per oz. But I was charged $8,740.00 per oz for 4.5oz.THAT'S A 190% PREMIUM!!! Then 40- 1oz Silver 2023 Washington Monument coins : Item code: SRINZWM-BB at $277.00 ea =$11,080.00. on this day SPOT was $89.94. THAT'S A 130% PREMIUM!!! THEN they listed my bonus as 9 more of the same Silver Coins for $277.00 ea with a $0 value. Still don't know why $0 value on them. I'm guessing that is a hold me hostage for some set amount of time I wasn't aware of. My start up and 1st year fees were about $300.00. I was charged $1,890 each for 0.25oz 2022 Gold Australian Phoenix coins and $139.30 each for 1oz 2023 Silver Defenders of Liberty on 10/20/25. This seems significantly higher than expected. After checking elsewhere, I found the retail price for the gold is around $1,100 and the silver around $53. I also see many reviews and complaints from other customers reporting the same outcome. I have been the victim of a scam by Goldco!! After rolling over my IRA in 2021 and a further purchase in 2022, I am now - after consulting my Accountant, finding that the Premiums I was charged by Goldco were excessive (84% on gold and 152+% on silver)! The industry norm, I am finding is 3-7% on gold and 10-20% on silver! What a soaking!! Then to top it all off, when requesting a buyback, I am charged a spread of 39%!!!!! Whaaaaat!?!?! My only complaint is that its near impossible to track the actual value of my investment ...they cite the "spot" (melt down) price but that is not what you would get for trade-in and you need to do an olympic gymnastics routine to figure out what your trade-in value might be and how long it might take to receive funds as needed. read more

If you are only interested in regular bullion....gold and silver at as close to the spot rice that you can get....run from these guys and find another company. They will use high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy specialized premium coins that are way above spot. In fairness they will give you a good deal on exotics but you'll be paying for the exotic quality of the coin...a premium product if you will. It's up to you. My sales rep got rather nasty because it became clear to him during the course of our post money transferal conversation that I was simply interested in regular gold and silver bullion only. Now yes....they will throw in some bonus silver if you buy there premium coins...but why cant they leave it at that? Because they want a larger commission...that's why. They were very nice to deal with, but how everything works I don't really understand. It took four months to actually get the money over there because of my bank. When the money was finally there, it was a rush decision as to what I was going to do. This conversation should've been had a long time before the money was transferred (we had 4 months), so we had clear lines, and I had time to understand how things work. Not when I'm totally stressed out at 6 PM on a Friday night holiday weekend trying to leave town, pack, and cook for my family.
