My initial contact with GoldCo was an over-the-phone conversation with an inside salesman named Jordan Towers. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated me to proceed to the next level of involvement with GoldCo, a task that was none too easy, as I was very skeptical about investing a significant amount of our available 'cash' into precious metals, something we had never done before. At the appropriate time, Jordan passed me over to a seasoned veteran in the industry, an experienced sales person and proficient customer service representative with GoldCo named David Brein. David walked me through all of the details I needed to know to proceed to the next level - actually committing to investing into silver bullion coins with GoldCo. He explained GoldCo's policies, incentive opportunites, the precious metals market, and their long history of satisfied customers. His plain, straight forward answers to my questions sealed the deal, and my wife and I became first time customers of GoldCo in the investment future in the precious metals market. I will say that the only reason I did not give a 5 out of 5 stars in my review rating is the (fully and accurately explained to me during our discussions prior to our actual investment day) lag time between the date of our purchase and the 6 to 8 week time frame before delivery of the physical silver bullion coins we purchased. My problem completely......, but the wait and excitement of actually getting to hold in my hands this significant amount of "99.999% pure silver", is a little harder than I anticipated that it would be. Again, my problem, not GoldCo's !! All in all, both Jordan's and David's help and guidance with GoldCo's capabilities and processes, in reality definitely deserved a 5 out of 5 star rating. With all the talk I have been hearing for the past year, about dollar revaluation, stock market instability and concerns about world markets being ravaged by increasing inflation, I felt I needed to look for viable options to secure and preserve my wealth. I had heard about an possible option, that is Goldco, from a podcast by Patriot Underground. Goldco was described as a secure, safe form of IRA based on investing in Gold and or Silver, for monetary security. I contacted Goldco and had a discussion with David Brein about how I might find the financial security I was seeking by rolling my existing IRA into a precious metals backed self directed IRA with Goldco. I felt this was my best option and I initiated the process to convert my holdings on June 5th. The paperwork was provided through My Equity by email and the request was completed in three days. We decided to go to GoldCo at the endorsement of Pastor Dave Sherbert(?). From some strange places we felt God was telling us to put some of our IRA money into silver. When I looked up the number and called, I ended up talking with Kevin Troy. He couldn't have been more helpful. It worked well for us to let GoldCo do the transfer and help us choose the custodian. The price of silver skyrocketed almost immediately, so we started thinking that we should put some non-qualified money into silver as well. We just wished that we had done it before the price went up so much. And then...God brought the price down, so we bought more. I've driven Kevin nuts because I didn't always pay attention to what he said, or what I read, but he worked with me patiently. When we were going to be out of town when the delivery of the non-qual silver was supposed to take place, he spent much of the day getting the shipment recalled and rescheduled. My Sr. Acct. Executive was very helpful in answering all of my questions and getting my Gold Trad IRA account set up. Everyone I spoke to at Goldco was very knowledgeable and courteous. The entire process was very easy for me. After my rollover funds were deposited into my account, my account executive promptly called me to complete the process of buying metals. My only complaint is that there was only one gold and two silver premium coins available for purchase. The Goldco online web site leads you to believe that all of the coins on display are available for purchase. That is not the case. As mentioned by some of the reviews, it can take 8 - 12 weeks for the metals to arrive at the depository. I do not understand why it should take that long if the metals I purchased are on hand. Perhaps I'll get chance to update this review when I liquidate the account 5 - 15 years from now. At this point today, the day I made my metal purchases, I would recommend Goldco for a rollover Gold TRAD IRA account to purchase metals. read more

I enjoy doing business with Goldco as they have always been upfront with my purchases. However, there's one thing that is inexcusable in my opinion. This has to do with my selected depository. My selection has always been Salt Lake City, Utah, but they initially shipped to Delaware, which is on the other side of the country. This took 3 months to straighten out the first time. This last transaction the same thing occurred. I selected Salt Lake City and somehow my DocuSign document was altered after the fact and didn't show a depository checked. However, my Trust company had a copy of the original document showing the selected depository as Salt Lake City and alerted me to Goldco showing shipping to Delaware once again. I think their backoffice needs to pay a little more attention to ensuring metals are sent to the correct depository. I'm also unsure why my DocuSign document was changed after signing.?? read more

Today I completed my 2nd investment with Goldco. The first time was perhaps 6 months ago. I opened an IRA account with them. I had an existing stock IRA account elsewhere of which I first converted some of that portfolio to cash. Then I moved the cash to Goldco. Once received by Goldco, I purchased both Gold and silver which gets delivered to a vault. The process was simple and the staff took care of me both 6 months ago and again now. Today is September 28th. I have been reading about the BRICS Natoma and other foreign nations dump US Treasury bills. I am one who believes both gold and silver will rise significantly as a result. For anyone reading this and agreeing with me, this window of time could be the last time to purchase both gold and silver at reasonable prices. It's just my assumption, but that's what I believe. Goldco is a good company and it came recommended to me. My experience was fairly smooth so I recommend them as well. read more

Prior to dealing with GoldCo I had my IRA money in trust with another company and found they were quite unhelpful when I asked questions, indicating that my account was "self-directed". Self-direction is fine if you are financially astute and understand arcane terminology but for the average investor it's pretty confusing and daunting. My experience with GoldCo was/is the exact opposite. Each and everyone I've spoken with has been extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make transferring my funds happen (the other company really dragged their feet). I really don't like using online services to sign documents so GoldCo FedExed everything to my address. The Account Executives I dealt with were more than patient and helpful. I want to specifically cite Chris James and Kenny Michaels for being available, returning calls and following up in a timely way. Kudos to you both. We found the people at GOLDCO to be very helpful and our purchasing experience was smooth and efficient. I have read concerns expressed by some that they were encouraged to purchase coins which exceeded the spot price of bullion. If those individuals check the price of other dealers for the same coins they will find that GOLDCO is competitive! (Even check the pricing at the US Mint.). Our only concern with our purchase was the uncertainty in the shipping time. We were told initially that it would take 1-3 weeks. After the purchase we were told 7 weeks, then later told it could be 8 weeks. We found this to be unacceptable and expressed our frustration... after all, the delivery requires an adult signature and keeps you "chained" to your delivery point for an extended period of time. However, in the end, the delivery was within the 3 weeks period. But the uncertainty regarding delivery kept us from giving 5 stars. read more

I like the Goldco guy I've been dealing with throughout this process. There are two points though where information was not made clear until well into the process - 1. When an offer of "free silver" is made for a specific amount of investment in metals, it should be said up front that the investment must be in premium silver/metals, not common. 2, When an investment is made and a dispensary is chosen for metal storage, it was not said up front that the yearly cost is applied even if you are buying in at the end of the year - they do not prorate the yearly dispensary cost. (I've read reviews that said the complete opposite, that the cost IS prorated, so I do not know if I got a worse deal or if someone was confused or what.) So, I think there is some relevant information that could be made more transparent and clearer sooner in the process but overall, I am satisfied as I got to invest in metals as I wanted. read more

I am very new to the precious metal arena. GoldCo was very informative, non-pushy, and priced fair compared to other companies in the industry. I did get the feeling that Goldco might be overwhelmed as it seems many people are divesting due to various worldly reasons and the staff are trying to keep up with the increased business... After the funds were sent on my end, I did have to call Goldco to ensure they had been transferred/received and, it may have been my anxiety but, they confirmed the funds and we were able to place the order after a few computer glitches on their part. The representative did use stronger language when describing rare coins but was not disappointed or cause me to second guess my decision when I stayed in the bars and common coin market. They followed through on everything that they promised. I am pleased with the company and the employees. And, time will be the best judge. read more

The Account Executive that I dealt with, Carl, was very patient and helpful in the process that I went through to determine whether to cash out my Variable Annuity with another company and to invest in precious metals. I am a first-time client of this company, and everything they told me they would do, they did. I am so far very pleased with the service. I am not a sophisticated investor by any measure, and I was somewhat apprehensive of the process, but they took the time to answer all my questions and they suggested that I check them online. It could not have been easier to transfer my IRA over to precious metals. I don't know much about financial stuff other than I was getting nervous with all the bank problems going on. Goldco was there for me all the way, even to the conference call to my former IRA people. I don't know what more I could have asked for really. I am just relieved to have it done. Our paper money has become a joke in that it is becoming worth less and less. Having precious metals at least I know it will not go to zero even if the banks fail or the dollar totally tanks. I don't know what the future will bring, and I don't think anybody really does. Excellent follow up and follow through in every step of the process. This is our second transaction with Goldco and having made another investment through another similar exchange, we realized that Goldco had much better customer service than their competitor with quicker response times which we value greatly. We decided to invest again with Goldco and are trying to figure a way we could move our investment with the competitor over to them since the customer service is much better. Our initial investment took a couple years to take hold and grow but now is worth more than double what we initially put in 5 years ago. I am so very happy with the choice I made to go with Goldco. They are incredible professional. They answered all my questions with no hesitation and complete confidence. I had a PM IRA at another company. Unfortunately, they could no longer provide me with PM. I came across GoldCo while exploring my options as I still wanted exposure to PM. It took 2.5 months to liquidate the old account, and another couple of weeks to transfer the funds over to GoldCo. The difference between the 2 companies was readily apparent. GoldCo was in constant contact by email and phone. Status updates were frequent throughout the process. My many questions were answered clearly and quickly. Once the new account is fully operational, GoldCo will follow up with semi-annual account reviews. And the icing on the cake was a 10% bonus for opening the new account. I began purchasing precious metals in 2010 to diversify my investment portfolio; provide a hedge against inflation/deflation; and build a long-term store of value. Goldco is my third Precious Metal Company (PMC), and it appears to be the most professional, and customer service friendly. The first PMC was OK, but the IRA Custodian was sketchy and was not very responsive (my account was moved to a couple of different organizations and the service was horrible), so we parted ways. The second PMC was OK, but the IRA Custodian decided to sever relations with that PMC and directed me to get another PMC.
