    Chinese food

I really like this place. There is a sushi bar, multiple hot food bars, made to order pho bar, made to order stir fry bar, dessert bar, ice cream case, soups and more!! Expect a short wait because this place is super popular. While I was waiting, I met a multi generational family waiting and they came from Lincoln because they think Golden Apple is the best Asian Buffet in Nebraska. . I really like the Chinese style pork ribs, green beans and Asian style seafood offerings. Just exactly what I want, and all I can eat. . Pro tip, if you bring grandma or grandpa, there is a senior discount for those over 65. You just need to tell your waitstaff.

Service was great...so much to choose from ..a wide variety of food, sushi, pho, hibachi and then you have salad bar, dessert bar, seafood, chicken, steak, shrimps, crab, pizza, dumplings, soups..and the list goes on and ..we tried to taste everything between Dean and I but we failed...too much for one night...the atmosphere was a family vibe...large space.. tables and booths..lots of parking...it is a do over for sure! As we left the line was literally out the door...good sign..must try

Had a great experience at the buffet! My group likes a lot of different foods and this buffet has a ton of different options - pho and hibachi made to order, sushi, Chinese food, chicken strips, pizza, and fries, fruit bar, dessert bar, ice cream, and more! I really liked the coconut shrimp and some of the chicken I tried, the crab rangoons were amazing, and the donuts are always delicious, the rest was pretty decent buffet food. The staff was on it clearing plates, they always waited for us to get up to get food and our places were cleared by the time we got back. The restaurant itself looks very nice, it's incredibly clean and there's enough room to walk around the buffet and seating areas.

I usually don't love Chinese buffets but Golden Apple definitely changed my mind. There is so many different kinds of food here that even the pickiest eater would be happy. From sushi, pizza, pho, hibachi, seafood, chicken nuggets, beef with broccoli, to...I could go on for days...there is something for everyone. The price is good too! Not expensive at all. Definitely come here on an empty stomach so you can try a little bit of everything. My kids love shellfish so they were in heaven! They also had a lot of fun being able to pick their goods. Being in West O, Papillion is a little far but I definitely will make the trek again for this great buffet!

Nice food selection at every station from salads, desserts, sushi, soups, grilled & fried dishes, plus make your own on the Hibachi grill! All the stations are kept clean & filled. There's plenty of room for group seating or dine alone. We went for lunch that's reasonably priced & busy but not over crowded. I was hoping to find another location closer to west Omaha, but I believe this one in Papillion is their only restaurant. There's something for everyone here. Well worth a visit!

This place is a great deal. The buffet had so many options - a pho bar, hibachi, sushi, hot dishes, and so many desserts! Everything was pretty solid, and seemed to be fresh. Our waitress was very quick to pick up any used plates. They had a lot of seating and the buffet was laid out well to make it easy to get around. Highly recommend the sweet donuts!

This place was well worth the price! A lot of the dishes are Americanized but they had a good amount of authentic options and a HUGE variety that did not disappoint in flavor or freshness! I loved several dishes which I cannot remember to name, but tried SO many and still barely scratched the surface. I would love to come back again!! The only thing I wish they had more of was dessert options. They did have 2 small cake bites, and 3 flavors of ice cream cups in a freezer, but an ice cream machine with toppings or even rolled ice cream would be a great addition!

I gotta be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with their 1) choices and 2) food in general. While the decor is top notch, boujie high-tech bathroom mirrors, FOH staff was great, and zero gaps on the bathroom stalls it just didn't trip my trigger. Can't put my finger on the exact "why" it didn't, but I do know that I desperately missed those string beans drenched in garlic, to go along with the usual glass noodle with shrimp choice. But they do have random garlic bread and pizza! The sushi choices were PLENTIFUL, lemme tell you ranging from the basic California roll to a more, pallet wow of the "Summer" roll (faux crab, fish roe, spicy, and whaBAM!). By no means don't look to them to compare to any sushi joint in the Metro, but if you're looking to smash on other things beside their buffet; solid options. They've even got spicy kimchi! While the crab rangoons were a HUGE hit (more filling than crust), the lomein was a little tough, chicken on a stick (we call them meeces on a stick *inside joke folks, chill*) were a little over done, the bebe coconut shrimp had zero flavor, I'm SURE the items I did not choose (crawfish, oysters, baby octopus, tilapia, egg roll, chicken nuggets, fries, and Mongolian Grill), were excellent. I just apparently didn't hit the jackpot last night. Will we try them again? Probably so. But for it being the only buffet in Papillion at the moment, it definitely draws in a crowd (the other wing was FULL of families)! Do I miss the ice cream cones? Yea.. but that strawberry cream ice cream on the go, wasn't too shabby!

Tried this place a few days ago went there around 4pm which is considered dinner time hours. The architecture in this place is beautiful especially the life size fiberglass fluid bear and wall upon entry. Location was clean and there was a variety of food to choose from. The food was just ok. The fried shrimp, fried fish and a salad was my go to. I also tried the desserts which I didn't really like. Customer service was good even though the waiter really didn't speak english well and couldn't understand when we were asking questions. Also the waiters wait around the tables while you eat so I felt a bit rushed. Glad I tried the buffet but I don't see this being apart of my places to go often. If you're a large family with picky eaters the buffet may be a suitable place to go and have a variety of options at a good price.

From Hibachi Grill: green peppers, beef, red onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and jalapeños. It was delicious. I asked for the spicy sauce.

I had a great experience checking out Golden Apple Buffet. As a newer restaurant in the area, it was very busy for a Sunday night dinner, but the line (which extended outside of the restaurant by about 10-15 people) moved quickly. There is plenty of space inside the restaurant, which allowed them to have shorter wait times even on a busy night. Now on to the food: There were more than four buffet stations to choose from, with the ability to walk on either side of the stations to get food. This was another smart design that allowed more people to go through the food lines with minimal congestion. The hibachi station takes a while to get through if there are more than three people ahead of you. The grill is small and only able to handle three, maybe four, plates at a time. If there is a line at the grill, be prepared to wait. It took about 10-15 minutes from the time I had my food selected for this station until I got through. I tried a lot of different foods and enjoyed the majority of them. I love crab rangoons and loved their take on them. The shrimp, regardless of how it was cooked, was great. Overall, it is my favorite buffet in the Omaha/Bellevue area so far. Prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. There is something for everyone. From the barbecue lover (although their ribs were not my favorite after sitting out for a while) to the seafood fanatic, there is something for everyone.

It was kind of weird that they sat us back there since the place was pretty dead. Not a big deal, just kind of odd. I was hungry so I bee-lined straight to the buffet. Total, I got two plates of a bunch of different 'Chinese' dishes and two plates of crab rangoons. (obviously no crab in them but they tasted okay.) I would have gotten sushi but they didn't have any out when I was eating. They waited till I got my dessert to bring out the sushi; not sure how their buffet sushi would have tasted any way. For dessert, I got a small cup of their self-serve ice cream. It was good, not great. The service was good. they came to our table a few tables making sure that we had refills and asked if we needed anything. The price was pretty cheap for lunch. I got a water to drink and my total was $8.20 - which isn't bad. All in all, the food was okay - typical Chinese buffet food texture and taste. Not sure if I'll go back or not.

My husband and I invited our daughter and family to dine with us on this beautiful Sunday. We had 5 adults and two children, 10 and 12 years of age. We were seated right in front of the buffet where the traffic was none stop. When asked if we could be seated a little away from the buffet, the hostess stated there were zones. So we stayed where we were seated and felt very uncomfortable. Our waitress just kind of disappeared after bringing our drinks to the table. My son in law never received the beer he order and we never had any refills on our drinks. The used plates were stacking on the table and our waitress was still no where to be found. We really felt like we were not customers instead of more like intruders. I have eaten all over the world and never have I been treated like we were. I would not mind the charge if it was explained to us before hand and our service was great. So Diners BEWARE! The Chicken Pulav arrived in a generous portion with beautifully cooked long grain basmati rice. The rice was fluffy, aromatic, and infused with warm spices without being overly heavy. The portion was easily large enough to share or enjoy as leftovers the next day. The Chicken Hariyali was the standout dish of the meal. The chicken pieces were coated in a vibrant green herb-based sauce packed with flavors of cilantro, mint, and spices. The chicken remained juicy and tender, while the sauce delivered a fresh, savory flavor profile that was both unique and satisfying.
