Well upon arrival when I first got out my truck and walking up to the door this one tech just kept staring at me like I was a piece of meat, I mean you would have thought he had seen a ghost and I am a heavy set female so I was like wtf is he looking at dont you have work to do. But what was rude was he yells to the other tech how pretty my lips are and that I had a phat a**. like come on keep it professional, then I was scheduled for an oil change and the same tech gets my ticket approaches me and tells me that his name is Dion and for me to take his number down cause I need a radiator flush done on my truck and he can do it at his house. I told him why would I want to go to your house to get work done on my truck when Im already getting the work done here at the shop. Then he proceeds to ask me do I have a man like, nigga just do the work thats on that slip DONT NOBODY WANT YOUR UGLY ASS DAMN. that sh** is so damn annoying I swear then when I get my truck back I don't even think the service was even completed. Then while Im sitting in my truck the next female that came up he was at her like I serious hope you don't have a woman seriously...... Femalez BeWARE of DION . I really think that the techs should not have any access to the customers at all if anything needsto be addressed or said to clustomers then it should be done by the front desk or office people. The shop will run alot smoother if more changes are updated you may even make more money. IJS

Several weeks ago I came in for an oil change and knew their was a problem with my exhaust system. Jay showed me the exhaust problem (corrosion and rust) and told me that he didn't do that kind of work and I needed to go to a muffler/exhaust place. Jay was thorough and efficient. I actually thought that his price was rather low and told him. I asked if I could give him a tip and he refused so I gave him a hug instead. I will gladly go back if I need a car repair

Because this is 1950, eye roll.. Jay is the real deal. Yes, Apna Garage is a modest shop tucked away behind a gas station. But how many mechanics have a legit 5 star Yelp rating? I'll wait.. The reason is because no-one is as honest, humble or as kind as Jay is. You can drop off your car which is very convenient. Jay diagnosed mine and explained everything in plain English without being patronizing. He's very responsive to messages, gave an honest assessment and didn't try to overcharge or upsell me. Honest mechanics! Dropped off my 2003 Honda CRV today after hearing a screeching sound whenever my…read morecar was in idle. I called right when they opened and they were able to take me in right away! I received a phone call a little over and hour later from the mechanic informing me that I had an issue with my belt. The mechanic said the belt was structurally intact and looked new but was responsible for the sound. He said he sprayed it with WD 40 which eliminated the sound but informed me it would come back eventually. He told me I could replace the belt to eliminate the sound permanently or I could pass on replacing the belt as it was still functioning properly and brand new. Definitely a mechanic I will be back to visit as I know they are not trying to stick me with random charges for parts I don't need.

I went to Pure on the recommendation of three childhood friends who still live here. They ALL said to go to Pure. I grew up in Decatur and left for grad school many years ago. I recently returned after living in four states during my career. I have always had three criteria when I make a move to a new location, and they have served me well. Find: 1. A Doctor you can relate to and trust. 2. Someone who gives a great haircut. 3. An auto mechanic you can trust and who does great work. I've found #3 in Decatur Pure Station. After my early check-in, I sat in the waiting area for about two hours, watching and listening to the manager interacting with customers. My observations? Friendly, matter-of-fact, clear. Andy explained everything going on with his client's cars. He made recommendations, and more importantly, noted what didn't need to be done. He gave accurate representations about when services would be completed. For my car, he got the part quickly and told me they had looked over the whole car and only found one repair that needed to be made (besides my originating situation). He was accurate in his honesty, because I already knew I was needing a new rear brake job in the next month. While my car was being repaired, I walked around downtown Decatur. I reacquainting myself with some old, and mostly new, businesses and restaurants. I arrived back at the repair shop in the mid-afternoon, just after they finished repairing the car. Andy explained everything they did, and gave me a very fair price for the service I received. Am I ever glad to have found Pure. Five Stars, and even higher.
