Food is delicious and freshly made. A group of us came during lunchtime. The restaurant was fairly empty so we were seated quickly. Our server was quick on getting our orders and our food arrived promptly. I have no issues with the food as everything tasted great, was fresh and authentic. My only issue was when we were each paying for our tab the server insisted we tipped her not knowing that cash was left at the table. She made two of our group write down a number on the tip section. One of us ran back to the table and got the cash that was left behind and gave it to her. After that she did not insist on the tips. I feel that was very unprofessional and our group will be ordering to go from now on as the food is delicious. read more

So FRESH! The Garlic Chicken was deep fried to perfection. Egg rolls were fresh NOT frozen with flavorful peanut oil and a small amount of nutmeg. I give this place a solid 4 stars. Ive been here countless times and although most of my orders are take out, the other times I have sat down and ate in the resturant, my food was even better. My favorites are the egg flower soup and the chowmein. Ive never had such tasty chowmein before, its always cooked perfectly never being dry or tasteless. The egg flower soup has a nice consistency, not too runny or thick. I usually also order Orange Chicken, the sauce that they use for the chicken is delicious, the only thing that I would say that is bad about this dish is that sometimes the chicken is a little overcooked and can become a bit tough. The service is great, the greeter is pleasant and recognizes me since I am a local. The ambiance is as youd expect from a traditional chinese resturant. With chinese music and very pretty art displayed on the walls. I dont have much else to say about this place, I really recommend it, you wont be disappointed. read more

The food was okay. I wish that the service had been. Having working air conditioning in near-100 degrees F heat would be pleasant. I assume that they'd only ever had groups of two or more in the restaurant, from the way that they looked at me. "Yes, one..only one." :-D They started to put me in the long side of the restaurant and then, it was suggested that they put me at the booth where they had been working on supplies. They cleared the table but didn't clean it. They didn't ask me if I wanted a drink. Eventually, they returned with a menu. Then, after quite a bit of time, they came back to ask me what I wanted. Since the menu was full of American-ized selections, I chose the braised tofu. I was surprised that they didn't even have fish. What do they eat? She asked if I wanted rice, and I did. I also got iced tea. The food was brought to the table rather quickly after my order, as though it had been sitting in a pot in the back all day. The braised tofu was hot and the rice was lukewarm and dry. I was surprised when I got the check. $15+ seemed a lot for a decent meal. The rice was over $2.00 when I could buy 5 pounds of premium rice for about 3 times the price. There was enough that I wouldn't get a refill. The iced tea was also over $2.00 but they offered me a refill. Generally, I can get a fish dish, rice, and a drink for just a little more--and I get good service. read more

I went to the Golden bowl Chinese restaurant with my wife and daughter's Brandy Ryder and Tanisha Ryder. The food was excellent had no complaints. The biggest complaint is when they add their own tip to the bill after we paid by credit card. They added a15.00 tip without our permission. I would of went back to eat again but I hate a thief and when we called them back they said that they didn't do such a action. My daughter Brandy Ryder paid and when she called her bank to find out how much was left in her account that is when she found out about the over charges read more

My new favorite Chinese Restaurant, this food is seriously amazing!!! Nice clean atmosphere, decent prices. Good service (as far as take out goes) we have yet to dine inside. The Mongolian beef is the best most tender tasty I have ever had, Big chunks of pork in the amazing pork fried rice they serve, and the garlic chicken is soooooo good as well. This place is a small little hole in the wall. Whenever I have came here, the servers are polite and double check to make sure they place your order correctly. The food is fresh, quick to come out as well. Szechuan shrimp is not fishy, spicy as indicated, but the chili is not overpowering the flavor of the food. It isn't overly salty either. Vegetables are cooked crisp and crunchy, so if you suffer from TMJ, then probably stay away from the dishes with lots of veggies, but I like my veggies crisp. Egg flower soup was light and not too salty, some would probably complain that the soup is bland, however it is egg flower soup, not hot and sour soup. Very good soup for aiding in digestion. I see that the potstickers are all the rave, I didn't have enough of an appetite to finish one, so perhaps later I can try their potstickers. Overall if you are in Waterford, then definitely try this little place out. It is worth it! read more

I've been here at least 20 times, only because its the only chinese food within 20 miles. Its not bad food, but my last take out order was someone else's. After driving the 15 minutes home, they called telling me to come back, and hurry. After returning I was charged an additional 17$. Mind you, I already paid 70 for an order that used to be 45$. I've told myself several times to make the drive to Modesto and after the 60% increase in cost, a 30 minute xtra waist of my time with no compensation, I will not ever be going back. I've only had a three take out orders from here and it's all been recent and all take out due to the covid pandemic. First off, the guy that answers the phone and works the front counter is great! He is very nice and polite and jokes with you. The beef with mixed vegetables, garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, and kung pao chicken were all delicious. i have been to this place multiple times. it's good, it's fast, and it's nearby. however, today was a different story. whilst eating, I found a bug in my food. I immediately went to call the owner of the restaurant, and he told me in order to receive a refund, I would have to return my food??? So I returned their food, and they proceeded to tell me that there was no bug found when it is clearly in the picture. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant tonight. The food was superb. We ordered a 2 person combo meal with Wonton soup, eggrolls, broccoli beef, sweet and sour pork, and chow mein. By the time we finished the soup and eggroll, our hunger was sated. We only managed to eat half of the entrees before asking for boxes for the leftovers. Everything was delicious and presented very well. The restaurant is clean, well-lit and the staff is very friendly. I am almost ashamed that I had not stopped at this terrific establishment before. We will be back! read more

I would personally recommend the garlic chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. The prawns and crab ragoons awesome too. We get takeout pretty often.
