The service was fine, the waitress was solo and running around taking care of orders and helping customers. The dragon roll was mediocre at best and the house chow mein was so salty while the chicken chow mein on the combo plate I ordered had no flavor. The orange chicken was okay but the fried rice on the combo plate was dry and had no flavor. I definitely won't come back here since I didn't think it was very good.

Hands down best Sushi I've had in along time. Gorilla roll is . Chinese Food is also delicious. This place is friendly and fair on prices unlike Golden Bowl. Do yourself a favor and go check out Asian Kitchen and skip past Diarrhea Bowl.

A few weeks ago my fiancé and I were looking for sushi places out in the Central Valley. We just moved here and were looking for some of the mild comforts of home. He stumbled upon this place and suggested we try it if we were in the area. Fast forward to this last Saturday. Had to run some errands in Turlock and come to realize hey we're hungry but didn't want commercial food places. We started searching again mostly we wanted to try the Crispy Spicy. An interesting take of the Crispy rice and Spicy tuna fad going around for some time. Crispy Spicy has Sweet tempura Yam as the base followed by Spicy Tuna, some avocado and japelenos. We found Hughson's and put our GPS en route. We stumbled upon a cute quaint little town with a lovely little Main Street. Hidden amongst the buildings with a few customers inside we set our eyes on Hughson's Asian Kitchen. The server was busy managing all tables and was very attentive. You seat yourselves and wait patiently as we were waiting we realized it's a fusion. Of possibly Japanese and Chinese cuisine. We came for the app. And we ordered a bit of everything. The staff was kind and courteous. The selection of food was very versatile. Note where we live there is no Chinese food. However any time we go up in that area we are stopping by for more garlic chicken, crispy spicy and to try most other things on the menu. We left full and happy and with containers for leftovers. Love this little hole in the wall. Will definitely be coming back for more !!!

Nice little find. Could handle more sauce on the rolls and more wasabi and ginger. Didn't care for their fish choices on the sashimi.

We ate here for the first time tonight after family and friends have recommended it and we loved it!! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was great even though it was kinda busy and we were seated immediately. It is very clean inside and the bathrooms were clean as well. All of the portions were generous. We got a small won ton soup and it was enough for 4 people. Everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying their food and the service. The atmosphere was overall just light and fun. We will definitely be back. I love that you can get sushi and chinese food in one spot.

I don't even know where to start... we walked into a simple yet lovely little place in downtown Hughson. It was bright, spacious and cool (it was 100° out). The server was welcoming and told us to grab whatever seat we wanted. We started out with the garlic edamame... I am pretty sure they brine them in salt water... the garlic was everywhere and yummy! The one thing I liked is I didn't feel rushed to eat... it was a big plate and we had time to eat it. We ordered the 12 piece sashimi, the tuna was good but we saved the salmon and yellow fin (I think) for last... melt in your mouth goodness... the ocean torch was good but my favorite out of the two was the Gorilla roll... I would recommend this restaurant for both the sushi and Chinese food. We watched HUGE platters coming out to tables and they were for one person! You could easily share it. What a find!

Service was prompted and courtesy. The Garlic Chicken, Hot and Sour soup, and Pork Chow Mein was excellent. I order from there once a week. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The sushi rolls were decent, and I would recommend them for the Modesto region. However, we tried the chow mein and kung pao chicken, and I wasn't a big fan. I may return, but only for the sushi rolls.

We called in an order for pick up, when I got there 15 minutes later it was ready and waiting. The 2 combo plates probably weighed 4 lbs in the bag. I honestly have no idea but it was hefty. The gentleman who helped me was also very nice and prompt. Unfortunately, the food was pretty lackluster. My orange chicken was miles away from crispy and the sauce was kind of bland. Also the chicken itself had that gross old chicken flavor that usually only comes from reheated chicken. The chow mein was also pretty bland. They did give chili sauce and soy sauce with the order, and adding those 2 things in spades did help with the lack of flavor. The cheese puffs were also disappointing. There was a good amount of crab in them, which is unusual for cheese puffs, however, the wrapper was thick and not crispy at all, mostly chewy, so all the enjoyable texture you expect wasn't there. My spouse had a combo with fried rice, beef & broccoli, and fried prawns. He liked it well enough but agreed it was pretty mediocre. The fried rice was pretty good but the beef & broccoli left a lot to be desired. In spite of the so so food, it's such a great price that it may be worth it to you. If you need a lot of food for not a lot of money, and you don't have high quality standards, this place will definitely take care of you.

This restaurant is off of Mitchell, which is a busy street, so it is easy to get to. It is part of a large shopping center so lots of parking. The restaurant itself it pretty spacious and has lot of seating. Could very well accommodate a larger group. We were greeted and seated right away. The lady that seated us was very pleasant and met us at the table with iced water and our menus. We ordered: 1. Thai teas: refreshing and delicious. 2. House Special: came with fried shrimp, fried broccoli, Laos sausage, fried chicken, beef jerky and fried egg roll. All fried to perfection and a great plate to purchase to appease most palates. 3. Large sticky rice: which is a must! 4. Laos papaya salad (mild): this comes with 6 Thai chilies and was perfect heat. It comes with a side of fresh cabbage. It was all the things we needed the salad to be. The sauce was dark in color, salty and that danky goodness! 5. Laos sausage: ordered this on accident because I didn't realize there was some sausage that came on the house special platter which was fine because we knew we were taking stuff home. 6. Crispy pork belly: marinated perfectly and fried to perfection. Dipping sauce complimented it well. So much food and I believe the bill came in under $90. A good amount of food, delicious and filling. Glad we stumbled upon this place and don't think it will be our last visit!

Fast forward years later and GK Mongolian BBQ opens in Turlock. My husband tried it when it first opened and did enjoy it but for some reason we never went back. Lots of choices of meats and fresh veggies. There are also a lot of sauces to choose from which can be overwhelming. They recommend one scoop of each but I say if you have a preference for certain ones then you do you! It is fun to watch your food be cooked in front of your eyes and presented to you as soon as it is ready. Our food tastes good and was reasonably priced. The service was good and the restaurant was clean.
