Came here for dinner after googling and yelping this place, pictures looked good and later learned that it was deceiving. I would highly recommend before sitting down that you can take a walk and survey what they are serving. We didn't do that and paid the ultimate price. There was barely anything that looked good and appetizing. The food that we ate didn't even tasted fresh. Hibachi food line had barely anything, everything looked cross contaminated. The rest of the food line tasted old or frozen. The pho bar, everything came out of the bag when they were refilling it. That was the only decent part but overall, it's not worth it. Maybe it was good prior to covid? But not worth it.

Upon entering you're greeted and everything. There is sanitizer available. The employees are friendly and somewhat professional. The pricing was a little high for lunch really. $11 bucks per person with just water and no fountain drinks. It was a little humid inside the place due to the lack of good ventilation. Also the AC was clearly not on despite it being almost 75 degrees outside. The weather is very crazy for November. lol. The food selection was VERY VERY POOR. Also since there were no labels on over 80% of the food. It was almost like choosing mystery food. Most of the food was nowhere and I mean nowhere near fresh despite the visual look of steam coming off some of the food. The chicken was hard as a rock and nowhere near fresh **SEE PICS**. Same as the nuggets. Most of the other food. Didn't look visually fresh & looked like leftovers with some of the food. The sushi was also not fresh and tasted like it had been sitting for some time. Most of the sushi fell apart upon picking it up. The salmon sushi had a very weird taste to it. Spit it out in a napkin. The hibachi food wasn't bad. But it did have a weird pancake-like taste. Which is unusual for meat really. Started not feeling good after a few bites. The bathroom area was OK. Sitting water in a few places. Also exposed LIVE wiring **SEE PICS** The overall cleanliness of the place was poor. There were food droppings on the floor and different counters even with workers passing by and failing to clean or discard **SEE PICS**, Spider webs hanging in FOOD areas off the fire alarms. **SEE PICS** The general crowd was mainly normal class. There were a few people that kept openly coughing even without a mask and not even covering their mouths which shows a lack of class really. Also no one was smiling nor looked happy really. Overall it became a depressing environment very quickly. Also with the workers walking back and forth in-between the tables and sweeping **SEE PICS** and a few workers with their hands behind their back while walking it almost felt like a military barracks chow hall or something..... ,Truly Sad..... Also despite the employees walking back and forth you still had to ask for drink refills even though they can clearly see the cups were empty on various tables. The water tasted OK. There is no active TV's nor background music here. Came here with some friends and we all said the same thing. NEVER AGAIN. The noise level was normal for a buffet. Almost quiet except for various people and employees talking among themselves. The overall environment leaves something to be desired really. Overall. NEVER AGAIN.....

I was very excited to arrive at this place! When you walk in, you see an expansive sushi area, many other buffet tables and smiling staff! Also, the place was maybe 1/3 full so there were customers but it wasn't bustling. However, some of the experience was marred by food being cold. A lot of hot dishes like general tsos, sweet and sour chicken, stuffed crab, etc were under heat lamps but for some reason they were cold. This was disappointing. The sushi was ok. Not bad and not great. I liked that it was all kept cold, purposely. The eel was alright but I didn't really care for the salmon roll (flavorless). The star of the meal was the hibachi area. The gentleman making the food was very friendly and he made each meal in under 5 minutes. I chose some noodles, vegetables, shrimp and beef. This, clearly, was piping hot. In a good way! The desserts were plentiful. I tried some sesame balls (yum), chocolate cake (tasty) and cookies (delightful!) Other positives, our drinks were constantly refilled. The cold shrimp was good and fresh. In my opinion, the only reason to run back to this place is the hibachi noodles, cold seafood, and dessert. Is that worth the price tag? Maybe, if you eat your fill of hibachi. So, in terms of buffets, there is a broad and surprising range of food options, which is nice, but food needs to be hot. This is just basic stuff. I would give the overall meal 3 stars. Hibachi alone gets 4, hands down!

The best Asian buffet I have ever had. The food quality, varieties, and services are excellent. The Habachi and Pho are my favorites. The prices are reasonable. Varieties of desserts for kids.

Receipt (with redacted info) is my proof of dining.

Looks like this place fully rebounded after the covid pandemic. All the offered dishes were there from the pre-pandemic. Tasty with great service for the price. Thanks! Receipt (with redacted info) is my proof of dining.

Rarely does a buffet restaurant wow me but Golden buffet was a little different. We decided on this restaurant for lunch after church service in Alexandria mainly because of the good reviews and it was just around the corner from the church and trust me I didn't expect much. I was able to make a reservation for our large group a few weeks before and they were very nice with all the arrangements and everything went well. We arrived with a charter bus filled with family and friends and they had a room reserved for us. They had made to order hibachi, a sushi station, made to order pho/noodle bowls, seafood including regular crabs and stone crab claws, chicken, shrimp, veggies, rice, more noodles, fruit, desserts, ice cream, etc., just a little bit of everything and most of it was really good so the family overall was happy with this choice.

STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

The restaurant had a back section that looked like it could be used as a separate party room and more booths and table in the front. Our server was good. He checked in with us frequently and made sure to keep us informed on our food status after taking our order. We tried the scallion bubble pancake, walnut shrimp, Mr Zhangs red braised pork belly, and beef chow fun. The bubble pancake was fun and had a good crunch and served with like a curry dip sauce. I would say if you get this, you should eat it first/soonest since i enjoyed it more at first bite while it was hot. The walnut shrimp was good, the shrimps were the smaller ones that were an easy way to snack. The braised pork belly was so tender. It reminded me of char siu, flavor wise, as long as you're ok with the pork belly (aka fatty pieces). Beef chow fun was good. The menu features many deep-fried items, and some dishes did not seem freshly made. While there are several types of dumplings, a closer look at the menu shows that many share similar fillings or wrappers, offering limited variety. We appreciated our server's honesty. We were interested in ordering the bento box, but he explained that it would take much longer because the kitchen was focused on brunch service and the chef would need to stop other tasks to prepare it. Overall, the prices seem to reflect the location more than the food, and the restaurant feels more like an Asian fusion spot. Most like for typical American.
