I don't know if it's Wang's garden or Wong's garden. The name varies online, in the menu and on the storefront. But whoever is responsible for this culinary delight is my hero. I have been living in this area forever and I never tried here until tonight for an unknown reason. The food was so fresh and the flavors were awesome. No goop with the sauces which is a major thing I rate Chinese food on. I ordered an egg roll, chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce, and pork fried rice. My family also got wonton soup, pepper steak and fried chicken wing. Everything was the bomb and this is our new Chinese spot. It's so close to Newtown and easy to find attached to Holland Vet and Dunkin Donuts.

Fried dumplings... Filling was okay but the dough was very thick and very chewy... Not crispy at all. Do not recommend.

Good take out food at a good price. Food is always hot and ready when we arrive to puckup.

Excellent food. Great service. Always my go to take out Chinese food. Also if you dine in it's actually an awesome time.

Our favorite stand by for Chinese food. Reasonable prices, decent food, and the kids love to say the name.

Sitting right next door to Pho Palace on Bustleton Avenue in the far Northeast in Philadelphia,…read moreYaudim Dim Sum & Noodle is a small modern semi fast food Chinese kitchen that models itself as a quick dim sum (small bowl) house where you order at the cashier from the large laminated menu on the counter the most popular traditional plates, and then sit at a table until the order taker/chef/server brings your food to you on plastic trays. All that would be fine if you don't miss the old ladies with their pushcarts hawking their goodies at your table. I sort of did miss them as they are what I remember most fondly about those enormous meals around a large round table with family and friends that I enjoyed growing up. But, this is certainly not that, and therein lies the difference of having a totally enjoyable experience vs a fast food version without any cultural entertainment value. Without that, the food was just not as tasty and fun. The Xiao Long Bao skin was too thick and chewy, although the pork infused hot soup within was decent. Similarly, the sui mai and shrimp dumplings had better texture outside, but tiny shrimp within. The glutinous rice rolls had a pleasant light soy sauce and right textured wrap, but small shrimp in both size and number. The best we had was the potato croquette (crunchy outside, hot and grated tato within). The room was all blond wood and large traditional Chinese kitchen mural on the wall. Service was efficient. Prices were about right given the recent restaurant inflation. For my three stars I would rather return to the enrapture of the old ladies and their carts.

I had a really bad day at work, and decided to treat myself for once…read more Been meaning to try this place forever, so I figured this would be a good opportunity! I went for dine-in and was met to an empty restaurant...which is such a shame considering what nice facilities they have. Loved the ambiance and atmosphere in particular. Service was courteous, speedy, and friendly. I didn't get a chance to eat lunch at work, so I was both quite hungry and thirsty.....I needed my water filled over 10 times! I felt so horrible, but every time the waiter came over to fill with a smile (by that point, many workers at other places just put a water pitcher down so they don't have to deal with you anymore). Odd thing to compliment, but it was quite nice. I got the house special fried rice, wonton soup, and their steamed dumplings. The food was absolutely fantastic! I actually moaned aloud when I had my first bite--then quickly apologized profusely, but the waitress luckily didn't seem to mind, even ecstatic I loved the food! It seems this place does a lot of take out orders, but I was very surprised to see the restaurant empty. If you are in the area, try dining in--you won't regret it.

Dragon of Newtown is under new ownership as of last year…read more Similar lunch menu; broader dinner, compared to the previous operation. Staff seems to be evolving, too. Very friendly and adept at table service. They may actually have improved their Hot & Sour Soup by adding more tofu, pork and other ingredients. They willingly make my Sesame Chicken more spicy and know how to prepare good brown rice. Prices are higher than before, but that is part of the new restaurant economics across the country. Definitely a change for the better. 4.5 Stars for this Chinese American kitchen.
