All were tasty, the chicken was similar to a slightly spicier general tso's. Would highly recommend the chicken if you want something spicier. I used Uber Eats to order in food from Golden China Express while I was staying at the Springhill Suites Columbus Dublin. I ordered: Lettuce wraps, beef and mushrooms, crab rangoon, lo mein noodles (or steamed or fried rice) , and the meal came with a bowl of egg drop soup. The delivery time wasn't long and the food was hot and fresh! If it hadn't been it wouldn't have likely been the fault of Golden China Express... It's sometimes a roll of the dice when you use a third party delivery service. The one negative. The lo mein noodles. I tossed those. They were like a big doughy lump of yuck in the carton for whatever reason, but everything else was fine. I didn't need the carbs anyway... Lol Solid food. I'd chance ordering from them again if I didn't want to leave the hotel and fight parking on a Saturday evening. read more

First visit here and I tried the Sweet & Sour Chicken Combo. Pretty standard fried chicken pieces and dipping sauce. Fried rice was bland and dry. Egg roll was standard and good. Still on the hunt for the best fried rice! read more

I want to start off by saying that the staff is lovely! They are very kind and the food was very fast.... However I was unfortunately not impressed with the meal. I ordered takeout and got the wonton soup, crab rangoons, sesame chicken, chicken lo mein, and beef fried rice. Starting off with the soup, the broth almost tastes like water and the wontons were very soggy and not flavorful, I ended up throwing the soup out after two bites. The crab rangoons were pretty good but there wasn't very much filling and there was no trace of any crab, just cream cheese and the sauce was overly sweet. The sesame chicken was very very small bits of chicken and mostly breading in another overly sweet sauce. The chicken lo mein was also not very flavorful and had a strange aftertaste. I did not have the beef fried rice as my boyfriend ordered it but he was not impressed. We had tons of leftovers but ended up throwing them away because we didn't care to eat it again. I was very surprised to see how many positive reviews were left but how low quality our meal was. Maybe they were having an off day? The food is relatively cheap but in my opinion not worth it as I barely finished anything I ordered. read more

I didn't feel like cooking tonight so we decided to check this place out. It was our first time here so I wasn't sure what the process was. Turns out you place your order at the counter and then they will bring you your food once it's ready. After placing our order, our food came out shortly after (less than 10 minutes). All of the food we got was hot (temperature wise) as if it had just been made. The general tso chicken was packed with flavor and had a nice crispy exterior but the chicken on a stick was my favorite. This restaurant is great for a quick meal at an affordable price. Every time I order from this place, I feel satisfied. The portions are just right, and there's always enough to save as leftovers. The staff are always friendly and they get the food to you as soon as possible. Their white rice is excellent and sweet and sour chicken is standard but yummy. They give you plenty of sauce as well. read more

I ordered delivery on Sunday early evening. Ordered for planned leftovers. Delivery was fairly quick. Most of food was warm. Didn't get the Chicken Lo Mein that I ordered. Egg drop soup had no flavor at all. It's my favorite so I was disappointed. Got a dry block of pre-cooked white rice with my Sesame chicken which was very soggy. Fried wonton was inedible. Vegetable Egg Roll was delicious. Some of the issues may have been from delivery issues so I will eat in the restaurant and give it another try. read more

I always get nervous when trying new Chinese, but this was the only place nearby open. I ordered cashew chicken, opened the container and saw what appeared to be boiled chicken and watery vegetables with 5 soggy cashews on top. I took one bite and threw it away because I can't afford food poisoning right now. My boyfriend had sweet and sour and said it was just fine, but the aftertaste didn't seem right. We have a really good Chinese place we like up off Sancus by where we work. But have been looking for one close to home. We found it!!! My husband be very picky about his General Two's Chicken. It has to be crispy, it has to have veggies and it has to be spicy. This was sooo good. And pretty darn spicy! I got the roasted pork lo mien. Omg it was so good. So garlicky and delicious. It was even amazing the next day heated up for lunch. The eggs rolls were ok. Next time we will probably get crab Rangoon instead. We will absolutely be back! read more

I am usually pretty picky with Asian food, but wow, Golden China Express does it pretty well for takeout Chinese food. My roommate and I first ordered delivery because we had to quarantine and couldn't go anywhere. I got beef and broccoli, white rice, and a wonton soup. The wonton soup was pretty flavorful and the beef and broccoli was a huge portion! I was able to make it into two meals. The second time around we ordered again. We got the combo meals which costs around $8, but you get an eggroll, rice, and an entree. Not bad at all! The second time around the portions seemed smaller, but it is pretty cheap. The quality is higher than most Chinese takeout places I've been to. They are SUPER fast. I remember calling for pickup and they said it would take about 20 minutes. I came within 10 and my order was ready to go. Fast and nice service! read more

Still solid after all these years! I still order the shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce with jasmine rice. This is one of the few places that continue to have an affordable lunch special ($6.50) which includes a side and soda. Food always arrives piping hot. The guy on the phone is a little rushy and rude sometimes but, at lunch time they are very busy. Only giving 4 stars because I am not a fan of other things on the menu but, this is solid. read more

We ordered two sweet and sour chicken lunches and an egg roll. The chicken was very dried out and over cooked as well as the egg roll. The sauce was ok. The inside seemed clean when I picked it up, however there was a strange strong smell inside. I was not impressed enough to return. read more

In our quest to finding carryout places who answered their phone or available deliveries via Postmates, we were finally able to order delivery from Golden China last night. I was told an hour and a half for delivery, but that was fine. We were just happy to get an order placed. My Chicken Curry was very good, although pretty spicy. I didn't know to ask for mild, but I will next time. My husband liked his Beef with Broccoli very much. He does prefer spicy dishes like Hunan Beef, which isn't on the menu. The combo dishes include steamed or fried rice, and either egg roll or crab rangoon. I got the rangoon, which is one piece and tasted great. This place will definitely be in our rotation! read more

My husband and I ordered for delivery from an outside service, for the first time from them. The food looked great and was fresh. My husband enjoyed his curry-type dish, but mine was average. I had ordered the beef egg foo young, along with some vegetable rolls and hot and sour soup. The beef dish had OK flavor, but my main issue was the sauce. It had no flavor at all. It reminded me of when you brush your teeth or have a cold, and can't taste anything. I've had pork (this is my 1st time getting beef instead) egg foo young from other places and the sauce was thick and flavorful (and priced cheaper). They definitely need to change the sauce, which is critical for this dish. The soup was pretty good, but wasn't spicy at all. It's called hot and sour soup for a reason. Egg rolls were good, though. I'd order from them again, but would try a different dish. The prices are higher than the place I usually get Chinese food...and I can deal with that, if the stuff comes out better than it did for us this first time. read more

True to their word, Golden China has good food in large portions - and they have it ready fast! Having a family with two teenagers, our orders are usually on the heavy side so when we put in an order and they said 15 minutes we were skeptical. Show up 15 minutes later and they are bagging our food up and we're out the door!
