I cant begin to explain how filling and flavorful this soup is. between the homeade noodles and the sparerib that falls off bone I would say this is hands down my favorite noodle shop..Nevermind the appearance but I have observed the place is clean and they seem to have a lot of customers. Best beef noodle soup in Flushing, NY, hands down! The beef is tender, soup is rich and flavorful, and noodles are bouncy. Plus there's lots of pickled veggies, bean sprouts, and you can request for a fried egg for $1 extra. I also like their breakfast sticky rice. It is salty sticky rice topped with bits of fried crueller, scallions, dried shredded meat, and tiny dried shrimp. Better get it before 10 am though bc it sells out fast. They make their own soy milk too. No preservatives and tastes delicious. Comes hot or cold. The place is clean but tiny. Would not recommend dining in since there's a total of 8 seats and it gets crowded real fast. read more

Indeed! This is a hidden gem in Queens. I found really good reviews here on yelp so I decided to take everybody's word for it. And I was so happy I did. I tried the pork rib soup.....one of the best Asian soups I have tried! And the famous fried crispy pork belly....also so delicious. My daughter (3 years old) enjoyed her seaweed soup and I took some food home for my twins and they ate it all. They don't like meat but they loved the ribs from the soup. The owner is really nice. She was cleaning all the time. You could tell it's all really clean. Will definitely be back soon. read more

This place closes at 9:30pm , and not 9:00pm as advertised here on Yelp. Came to rave about the cold beef tripe. It is probably some of the best tripe I've ever had. Ever! It's a spicy dish but not over the top spicy. Probably about a 6/7 on the spice scale - must try it! The blood noodles were so good too. The broth and hand pull noodles are the stars in this dish, complimented with some pickled toppings. It's delicious. It's a great hole in the wall place with great authentic food. read more

3.5 stars This place is tiny. I think there were 2 small tables and some stools at the counter. Some staff were having lunch at the counter but they graciously moved for us. We ordered in English and the lady understood perfectly so I don't think pointing is necessary. We were going to have a big dinner that night so we just wanted to share a few things. Of course I had to get the crispy pork belly for L and I got the stewed beef noodle soup. Crispy pork belly tastes clean, but it's just something to snack on. It's not really meaty. I liked it but I prefer when I make my own rendered pork belly, more meat. I agree with one yelped, it's very one note, so I did get tired of eating it. The stewed beef was flavorful, very tender, lots of spices.. Cilantro, some veggies. I enjoyed it, but I should've gotten the Beef tendon instead. That's usually what I get. The noodle soup was good, but I didn't really like the veggies in it and it was perhaps just a touch too much spice. A store that will mess up with your order and charge you whatever they feel like! I order an veggie mixed with clam meat, they gave me the chicken feet and put into the bags without my concern. AND, when I got home, I saw the wrong order and call them, that rude boss was telling me if you want the seafood thing, come back and we can exchange for you, you just need to pay the difference. This tiny hole in the wall only looks like a ho-hum Chinese take-out from the outside, but it serves up some pretty good stuff at cheap prices. There are 4 seats at the counter, and a table for two. I'd recommend sitting at the counter with your coat on in the winter, because when the door opens, you get blasted with freezing cold air. Or, take your food to go. My mom and I came here a few weeks ago for their beef noodle soup ($6). It's kind of pricey for Flushing, where most places sell for $4.50 - $5. But each serving was enough for two meals (for me, at least) and the beef was really tender and moist, unlike many, many other restaurants. Even the tendons in the meat that were quite tender. I know the beef-and-tendon chunks had been cooking for hours. There was a mount of salted mustard greens (salty, of course, and a little sweet; I don't usually like them sweet, though) and cliantro. The ramen-type noodles have some "tooth" to it--not overcooked or undercooked; just right for this dish. I believe the owners--a husband and wife team--make their own noodles. The spicy broth had a perfect little kick, not spicy enough to numb your lips. There's a large handful of bean sprouts at the bottom of the noodles--I guess so they can be "cooked" while being weighed down by all the noodles and beef--so be sure to stir it up if you want to eat it together. (I didn't know until I reached the bottom of the bowl.) The owner (husband) gave us a few samples of their salted dried (rehydrated) fish. I'm not sure what kind it was, but it had a fair amount of bones in it, and reminded me of bacalao. It was salty and would make a great side dish for congee. Gourmet Noodle also makes their own soy milk ($3) and tea-flavored eggs (3 for $1), neither of which we had room in our stomachs to try. And honestly, soy milk with beef noodle soup is just weird. They also make pork chop noodle soup and rice balls (actually not balls, but shaped like humongous corn dogs). If the rice balls are Taiwanese style as I'm thinking (the husband is Taiwanese), then the inside will be filled with a fried crueller (you-tiao), salted mustard greens, and shredded pork (zo song). I'll have to come back and find out. =) The owner seemed really nice. Both his friendly demeanor and the food make me want to go back. read more

This place is amazing. I had the pork ribs noodle soup and wow!!!! So much flavor, the noodles are not to big and have a nice firmness. The ribs fall right off the bone, the pickled vegetables add an awesome flavor to the soup. My wife had the wonton soup and also loved it. The wontons tasted great. Crispy pork belly is like a biscuit, it was so so so good. You must try it. The owner advised me to put a few pieces in my soup and HOLY COW!!!! That really make everything taste even better!!!! My friend told me to try this place so we ended up going. It's away from crowded Main Street and the exterior didn't look like anything special. As a Chinese ppl myself, I am very disappointed about most so-called Chinese food they make in NYC. While as a frequent customer for more than 5 years here in this little food place, I cannot complain nothing about the food. The flavor, the savory. The multi choices. This is what we call Real Chinese food. And once one deliciouso lover tried here, I believe they will come back again and again because the food deserve the crave. My tips: this is a deli shop instead a real restaurant. The food is nothing fancy like restaurant style but real good for a common daily meal, or party. Since they have catering menu. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! We have been coming here for almost a year now and we love it! Found it through yelp! Our 3 girls love noodles and we thought the hand pulled noodle stations in the food courts in flushing were good, this is better. The noodles are not hand made, but the soup they make are awesome! My girls can always eat here without complaints. The also like the wontons, little meat and lots of skin! There is not much seating, but even for us, a family of 5, we can get seats if we wait a bit. I ordered the Stewed Spareribs Noodle Soup, and it was spectacular! At first sip, the soup tasted too light, but as I continued eating, I realized the lightness prevented me from getting overwhelmed with flavor. The noodles had the perfect amount of chew and tasted super fresh. The ribs were stewed until the meat melted off the bone, and the tendon was soft.
