Decent buffet with plenty of food options. Very busy on Sunday, and was kind of difficult finding a table. They kept the food fresh and continuously refilled the buffet. Our server was very attentive and so polite. She constantly came by for dirty dishes. We just don't have many buffets these days. I have always been more of a breakfast fan. I think something was wrong with their heating elements so hopefully that couple of days closure was to fix that. However, the food is okay but when they say steak and all don't expect the best. Located in O'Fallon Mo. Private parking lot. Needed attention in the parking lot considering we had a snow storm yesterday. Open well lit and clean. Many varieties o and options of food. Breakfast, brunch available. Chef available to make cook to order items like eggs served your way and omelettes. Salads, desserts etc. All food options had great presentation and heat appeal. Restaurant was clean and clear of clutter. Tables and floors were clean and swept. Jeanette was our waitress. Very nice and eager to assist. Came over regularly to check in and make sure we were ok. Golden Corral just started a rewards program. New app available as well. Buffet to go option as well. I would give it a zero if I could. The place is filthy and they don't refill the buffet items or clean up any of the counters. The ice cream area was disgusting. The servers rarely checked on us or took our used plates and we were told we couldn't sit in an area that was not marked as reserved. Several empty tables that were not bussed. Saturday morning breakfast found this location very busy. Our server did a good job whisking away empty plates and refilling drinks. GC was effective in keeping food trays stocked with fresh items. There was a large variety of breakfast foods, plus salads, until 11am. Then, more lunch items--veggies and meats--were added to the breakfast offerings. read more

I went to eat on Nov 11 for the free military/Veteran appreciation meal. 1st thanks to Golden Corral corporation for the respect. The employees were friendly and Kind. Opened for Thanksgiving meals 11-6pm! Steaks, turkey and cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and baked potatoes, bread and all the sweets. They have gloves for customer use, one direction buffet line and tables were spaced out. Staff give each table a set of dishes, utensils and any request on condiments. There are also sanitary tables and hand sanitizer stations in different part of the restaurant. We had our lunch here and I had my favorite dish: make my own steak salad! Meh Not sure why so many people rate this one "better" than the St. Charles location, which, sadly, apparently went out of business almost a year ago, it seems :'( For starters, the food selection leaves something to be desired, esp. compared to the St. Charles location, AND, for some reason, they have one less counter full of food than that location, which is a tad disappointing, to say the least. Tony is the best server! When I go in with mom, we always check to see if he's there. He continually has a smile on his face and he's genuinely happy to see us. My top selections: - Bourbon Street Chicken: tender and flavorful. - The rolls: omg. Pillowy and perfect. - Mashed sweet potatoes: with melted marshmallows on top. - Fried chicken: holy cow. Stopped in the other day for the dinner buffet because we had a coupon for the brisket/steak special. It wasn't terribly busy on a Sunday for dinner so we immediately got a table. The selection is good here and the restaurant is clean. Large salad bar, meat carving station, tons of other items and an absolute ton of desserts. Lots of sugar-free options for dieters or people with diabetes. The prices are right, that's for sure. Quality was decent on the meats, everything else was okay- salad bar was pretty typical but that's what I expected when your spending $10 on 500 plates of food. Full buffet for I think less than $10 a person with a coupon. Would love to try breakfast with the omelet station. Will be back considering I live across the street. read more

When we walked in we were greeted by a tired looking employee who wore wrinkled stained uniform clothes. She demanded my payment (did not say hello, welcome, or anything, just "that's $14"). I paid with a 20 and she handed me back a 5 and a 1. I returned the 5 and asked for singles so I could tip the waitress, she responded "ugh, fine". At this point I noticed her uniform labeled her as a manager. I continued to my table, and got food for my son and I. while browsing the lines I see the same manager using clean plates and bowls to smack a cooks butt and joke around and play games with her employees. As we were eating the waitress cleaned tables around us. Her uniform was also wrinkled, untucked, stained, and she looked over worked and tired. She was extremely sweet to my son and very polite. About half way through the meal the manager comes to an empty table nearby, plops Down in a chair and props her feet up. She begins talking to the waitress, loudly complaining about guests, co workers, and home life. After 10-15 minutes she gets up and goes somewhere else. I return to the line to get more fruit for my son, however I am unable to do so because the manager is on the other side of the line gossiping with a cook while she reaches through with tongs getting fruit for herself. She does not say hello, she does not ask how my meal is, she doesn't even acknowledge me or that I am Standing there waiting for her to be done so I can get fruit for my son. After this experience, I feel as though Golden Corral needs to choose better employees and especially better management staff. At this rate, the store will be out of business by the end of the year. I know that i won't be back as long as management continues to be run this way. I hope you can get your act together again Golden Corral, this used to be a good location. read more

Honestly I would have given 4 stars but I'm writing to the place has some better offerings than the south location, they aren't the same. They have hard boiled eggs on salad bar, homemade potato salad, homemade chunky chicken salad and thick/nice clam chowder. The south location discontinued all these. The hot bar is pretty much the same. I do remember breakfast had a special, banana nut French toast. It's also more visually appealing. I won't skip the south location, but I will go here when I'm within 10 miles. read more

I haven't been to a Golden Corral since Covid, decided to go there since kid's eat cheap on Tuesdays. Terrible decision. Food was awful. Worst part was the rice. Was like eating gravel. I figured out the cause when I saw them putting in fresh rice. They didn't change out the tray, just scraped the new stuff into the old pan where rice had been cooking all day and burnt to a crisp. They had normal rice and mexican rice, both had the same problem. But it wasn't the only bad thing on the buffet - shrimp tasted awful too. Two adults, two kids, $50 completely wasted on awful food. I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. We have a Golden Corral in the area. It is not a new experience for me. Ours is larger. Let me move to last night's experience. The last time I ate at Golden Corral was June 3, 2017. That was yesterday. I went in and ordered the dinner buffet with a togo drink. I gave it 3 stars for several reasons. Things in the Saint Louis' metro area are more expensive than what I am used to paying. My friend and I arrived after 8 pm. Some commonly eaten things were out the first time I went through the line. The second time that I went through the line to get food, most of the same things were out. If an item has less than 5 percent, I consider it to be out. Each time through the buffet, I got a sirloin steak cooked medium-well. That was a plus. My waiter must have been busy. I saw him twice. Since I had a to-go cup, I refilled it myself before leaving. read more

Went there last night (06/25/19) and we were greatly disappointed. It was around 7:00 PM and they were out of a lot if not most of the popular featured foods. There were very few customers dining there. Had to hunt down a staff member to have someone bring out some soup bowls. When I asked staff members about food items that they were out of on the buffet, I was told that they were out of the item. Right in the middle of dinner rush and the place was booming. Ran into our first problem with no trays. Not a big deal. We were seated, got our silverware, plates and headed up. Had steak which I recommend. As we sat eating our dinner is when all came crashing down. Started noticing stuff that would make a health inspector cringe. Trash everywhere. Trash cans overflowing and to close to the food. It's nice they wear gloves, but doesn't help it they touch the trash can and don't change gloves. It was like there was no one cleaning!
