This place was horrible!! My server Shawn made an appearance one time during our visit. Found him on his phone about 5 times as we got up for our own drinks. Only gave it a one because the cooks did ok. Went to use the dirty restrooms and saw my waiter once again in a private room hugging and laughing with another young girl. Obviously this girl was more important than doing his job. Maybe next time better service. read more

It is a buffet, they give a great price for school groups, which is why I go there. Taking students to places that are cheap with lots of choices is a win win. Best Golden corral location I've ever been to so far! Went around 230pm.. price was $25 for two adults. Food was so fresh and so good. Our waitress was very sweet too! The dining area is so spacey so you don't feel crammed at all even if there is quite a bit of folks there. We were happy and full when we left ! :) read more

Why we made the mistake of stopping here, I do not know. The food-like substances in the limited serving areas that weren't empty were hot and just shy of looking like what the label said it was. Taste....well....all the food tasted like month old grease....even the "baked" foods. Never again. Oh, and the decor...see for yourself. We got to sit by this mess the entire time we were there. And the stack of dishes in front of the explosion in the chigh hair....those were the courtesy of the waiter that was just tossing used plates on the dirty table....top notch establishment! My family and I have been here many times and noticed there is new staff and the staff is very attentive and friendly compared to the last staff. The restaurant has really turned around with Cleanliness of bar areas, floors, bathrooms and tables being picked up. We appreciate the turnaround this restaurant has done in the last month or so. we revisited the Golden Corral in Spring. While I was standing in the buffet line i asked the guy who was filling my plate if they had any more fried mushrooms. He said no but said "I got you. Where are you sitting?" i told him and then returned to the table. In maybe 10 minutes, I looked up to see that same guy coming over to the table with a bowl of freshly cooked fried mushrooms which he emptied onto a plate. He didn't have to do this but he did. I felt like giving him a hug for being so nice and giving me outstanding service. I'll definitely be returning. I didn't get his name. i just remember he had a slight limp when he walked. Never again. No one expects Tavern on the Green when they go to Golden Corral but - come one! I wish I'd taken pictures. The soda machines CO2 was fading and the soda was pretty much flat (didn't find that out till after paying and sitting down to have a sip). The place was filthy.....food and napkins on the floor - women's bathroom smelled like a port-a-pot. But the most frustrating was how SO MANY of the food trays in the buffet line were empty! The only meat that was out was either fried (which I don't eat) or something covered in an undescribed/unidentifiable sauce. There was some wrinkled up sausage sitting out and the end of a chunk of ham - neither of which looked appetizing. The main thing I wanted was pot roast. It was nothing but a tray of potatoes....and I checked 3x! I ended up eating cabbage, green beans, and sweet potatoes. I left hungry! The salad bar appears to have been downsized - but those trays were nasty and empty too. Couldn't even get a few cherry tomatoes - there were maybe 20 sitting in a bowl of cloudy white water. Ewwwwwww. No thanks. And desserts....dried out chocolate cake and I had to ask 3 different employees in the section where the sugar free desserts were - no one was really sure. The only highlight was the young man who helped clear the table - I believe his name was Trent. I told him of the problem I was having trying to find something to eat and he apologized and said he'd at least do what he could by bringing us drinks/keeping our area cleaned up for us. Horrible service!! I called to get prices and ask about the ,99 cent child deal. Was told 8.99 before 4pm after 4 13.99 and kids eat .99 all day kids under 2 are free. Got there at 3:50pm while getting our drinks a worker cut me and my son off and grabbed her drink (ignored it didn't think nothing of it) walked to counter. Another lady rang me up 2-Adults 1-child (10yr) and 1 (2yr old). Total was $36+ I said wait i called to get prices and this doesn't add up. Lady extremely rude with an agitated attitude said "they told ya wrong kids 2 under free after 4 and kids .99 after 4 only it ain't 4 yet so this is the total do you want it or not" I was a bit shocked said hold on let me get my card from my husband when I came back I was getting ready to give her my card I asked for a straw for the kids cup she said there's some over there pointing by cups I said no there's none with a known attitude, firmer voice and an eye roll the lady says well if there ain't none there then you gonna have to get it from inside. I think we just had our last experience with Golden Corral in Spring TX. Not worth the cost for a family of four and the overall dinning experience. The drink dispenser station was a mess, that should have been a sign to just walk away... The food was just ok, untill I pulled a long black hair from my mouth after taking a bite of mashed potatoes. The water isn't filtered and , tasted like soap because the cups needed rinsed better . They changed a lot things and the food had suffered. Once again the desert bar was disgusting! There is 2 reason why I come to this location: 1. The food is good 2. Is closed to my house That's it! The service usually sucks and to get a refill is almost impossible. It's a very nice looking place, and very clean. A lot of variety in food and you can basically find what you like. However, the customer service is absolutely horrible. The first time eating here, the food was delicious now nothing has any flavor because the manager is going to the cooks telling them not to add too much seasoning, the guys at the grill have no clue how to cook a steak, and the butter rolls are nothing but dry bricks of bread. It was absolutely disgusting, dishing piled up everywhere, food all over the floor, lazy and poor crew and staff. Dining room manager did not care after I complained. Very Disappointed Tonight! Many items are under cooked tonight. The special promo of Prime Rib was a step above raw. Not rare -Raw! Many were discarding it, going back up and requesting the second piece be thrown on the grill. The vegetables were fresh from the garden...as in not cooked. Fried foods were undercooked. Used to love coming to this location. The past four times the buffet has been nearly empty. There are no steaks or hamburgers being grilled and the attendants are just standing around talking. The last time my wife and I went there we received no refills on our drinks. When I went to the counter to refill it on my own a manager type individual ran up and admonished me about refilling my own drink. I told him my wife and I had been there almost half an hour with no refills -- he said he would take care of it. We left about 15 minutes later ...WITHOUT RECEIVING the refill. Solid 3-3.5 based on my 5 visits over the last 2 weeks. Employees are working hard to keep the buffet lines stocked with fresh hot food. They are also working hard to keep the place clean. MANY OF THE PEOPLE WHO EAT HERE ARE PIGS, MAKING NO ATTEMPT TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES! For the most part the food is surprisingly good. Hits =Italian sausage with green peppers and onions, baked beans, sliders,Pot roast, fried chicken, real mashed potatoes,gravies, sweet corn pudding, most vegetables. Salad bar is expansive but lacks blue cheese crumbles. Once again, I'm VERY impressed with the grill and chicken frying guys, but really everyone wearing black themed GC uniforms. I'm NOT IMPRESSED with the salaried or management people in civilian attire, especially when on the buffet line. YOU NEED TO HAVE HAIR NETS ON AND GLOVES JUST LIKE YOUR SUBORDINATES, LEAD BY EXAMPLE. OMG! I went here today bc my cousin begged me bc I'm not a buffet person, but it was his turn to pick our Sunday dinner spot. So we go and get our food and have a seat, well about 15 minutes into it I needed to go to the restroom. I go and get to the sink and there was NO hand soap... All of the container are completely empty. Omg I'm furious,., I just sat here and ate this nasty ass food that none of there worker or patrons has washed their hands. Jesus take the wheel!!!!!! Honestly we were waiting for a whole HOUR as people kept passing us up because they wouldn't give us a table of six. About FIVE TO SIX families of 6 people passed us up. Overpriced.Food is always best at buffets when there the most busiest. Went on a Sunday and the line was out the door never seen it so busy. The food is good when its hot & fresh. There down fall is the cleanliness. The food line especially fruit & salad is always so dirty & looks like they don't do a too good of a job restocking I think they need to keep attendants checking more often the stations & keeping them cleaned & stocked.
