It's a buffet and I have to say that the food is fresh, looks good, and is always super tasty!! It's a good value. They have a big variety of items - there's steak, too! Man oh man, it's a buffet, what else is there to say lol? Everything for the most part is crazy hot and not like warm at all. I've been to this location while traveling and have enjoyed it every time! The service could be better to be honest as they cater to more of the families/bigger groups than single folks. You all are too hard on this place! It's a buffet and you all think it's Casa Do Brasil or something. We went for dinner on a Saturday and found all the food to be decent. There were some things that could have been warmer and fresher, but overall it all tastes great and I felt it was clean. The service was not great for our area and we never got our water refilled, but that's just where we chose to sit and others likely had better service. Hands down best bread pudding can be found here. For a Golden Corral, give it a try. It's good food and acceptable cleanliness. read more

The food was time temperature abused,burnt and dried out. When I asked for fresh the server put the fresh on top of the old with the dirty spoon. The counters had food all over the top. I asked to speak with a Manager and waited five minutes and she never came out I've managed food service for almost 50yrs and never seen such nasty and carelessness in serving the public. This store needs a New MGMT team that cares about the public safety. Someone can really get sick or worse. Health Inspector should be informed of this for the paying customers!!! This restaurant should be shut down clean and placed under New MGMT that cares about the people not just a paycheck!!! Golden you have failed your customers. We went for breakfast this morning. There is so much food on the buffet line that is not breakfast food. I would not eat either of the two bananas that were out. One had a huge bruise and the other's skin was cracked. I went to get some Orange-Guava juice and what came out looked like and smelled like apple juice. I went and told the cashier and she let me know that it was indeed orange-guava juice and she just needed to shake it up. I returned later and it was still the same. We visited a week ago for some late night dinner... 30 minutes before closing. It's not my goal to be 'those people', but we planned to come in, eat and head out swiftly. While the food was good, (my favorite being the bread rolls and chili), the best highlights here come from a few staff members with superior customer service. Joe, assisting customers at their tables, was so friendly and helpful during our last-minute buffet experience. He always walked by with a smile, chill vibes, and attentiveness. He took empty plates out of our way, asked if we needed anything, and refilled our drinks regularly. He was great in making sure we had everything we needed without neglecting us so close to closing. The tan complexion guy cooking the steak that night was also so friendly and helpful. He was busy wrapping things up when we came by. He instantly acknowledged us and made sure to ask the right questions about my husband's steak preferences to meet his needs. He went the extra mile by volunteering to thoroughly check which steak was more aligned with his needs! After helping my husband, he asked if I wanted anything too, but I passed. We appreciate his eagerness to provide the best steak he could so close to closing. Overall, we both left feeling satisfied and cared for. What would have been a quick and basic dining experience was an awesome one thanks to these two guys at Golden Corral. I have been only once to this location but I was quite pleased. There was a lot of variety here and the food for the most part was good flavorful and fresh. At least when you consider it was a Buffett. We arrived about 1:30 pm or so and there were quite a few people there. The buffet was well stocked and the employees were doing a great job replenishing the supply of food. The server was friendly and kept the soda refills coming as well as promptly coming by to clear off plates. The grilled pork was very good as well as the chicken fried steak w cream gravy. I loved the pie that had a slight coffee taste to it. The blueberry muffin was good. The pumpkin pie had a very strong taste of pumpkin or spice that I wasn't fond of. The salad was very very good. All in all a great value and I am not really a buffet kind of guy for the most part. When I go to buffets I just keep in mind that it is a buffet and not a sit down and order place. Ate there for the first time last night. I like Golden Corral. This place was clean and neat. The staff is very pleasant and professional. It was everything i expected. All the buffet food was hot and plentiful. Gordon Ramsay is not the chef but for a value meal, this suits me just fine. Sadly, they do not serve milk. read more

I am a fan of Golden Corral. If you go in with the right expectations then you won't be disappointed. This particular location was quite good. A few of the highlights for me were the pork steak and cheesy hashbrown casserole. The thing about Golden Corral is that you can usually find at least a few items that are fresh and cooked well. There will always be those items that you wouldn't want to touch with a 10 foot pole, and you just have to look past those. It also helps to not spend too much time observing the other patrons. Just keep your head down and get in and get out. At least that's my strategy. My only complaint about this most recent visit to Golden Corral is that as I was at the buffet getting food there was a gentleman behind the counter, possibly a health inspector but could have just been the manager. He was loudly berating the staff for doing things improperly. "What is this?! This is all wrong and all of this has to be thrown out and made again! What are you guys doing!? This is unbelievable!" While I can appreciate that he is doing his job to make sure the food is safe and everything, I felt kind of uncomfortable watching and listening to him belittle the staff in front of everyone. Having spent the day touring Waco and its Zoo, the family was up for a buffet. We don't usually frequent buffets; but, figured we would try it. Arrived at 3:30 (just before the 4 pm dinner transition). Staff was pleasant. Food stations were being attended too and refilled as needed. The Salisbury Steak and quartered chicken stayed way too long on the grill. It wasn't edible (it was that charred / overdone making it difficult to chew). But, the pot roast made up for it - excellent. The rest of the fare was your typical buffet offerings; all very good. My biggest gripe had been the bathrooms - the men's room was nasty, and, per my wife, the ladies room was equally gross (something you would find at a seedy truck stop). This is one of the worst and I mean one of the worst Golden Corrals I've ever eaten at and has gone down hill over the years. I would sometimes come for my lunch meetings or come in during the week once or twice to get a bite to eat when I didn't feel like cooking. The plates are old and always have food from the next person's meal still attached to the plates. You have to go through at least 10 plates before finding a clean one to serve yourself. The salad bowls are the same way dingy and brown with cut marks. Condiment bottles that are on the table are dirty and sometimes empty and are never wiped down or cleaned or the inside of the condiments lid. The same towel is used to wipe down every table. The kids booster and rolling high chairs are filthy. They serve the same things everyday. And only switch up every blue moon with serving wings or shrimp pasta. The sweet potatoes have black specks in them, I'm not sure what that is? It takes almost 30 mins for a new batch of chicken to be served. The ice cream machine when it runs out forget it, you're not getting any because they are not going to refill it. I've seen roaches on 5 separate occasions. On the walls, on the salad bar, crawling on the glass over the hot food, and on my table while eating. Management only makes excuses about they just sprayed and acts nonchalant about the situation. Went to use the restroom which I never do, the trash inside the stall was full and spilling over onto the the floor and creeping up the wall due to it not being emptied. Also the restroom had a smell of not being cleaned. I will NOT be eating here again! This place should be shut down. Not sure why the Health Department hasn't done so already?!?!? read more

We travel from Fort Worth to eat at this particular Golden corral, all of the ones in our area are gross and disgusting and dirty. I don't know if this location is being run under new management but it is slowly becoming like the rest. We travel here several times a year And this last visit was subpar. The bar was sparse and dirty, the restaurant itself was dirty the bathrooms were disgusting. There was a weird smell, like maybe the sewers were backed up. I'm hoping that it was just a fluke. Sorry but a no for me. Have to be honest in this one as in long past. Floors and buffet. But that is just me.

I was once a great fan of this place, not for really the food, but the cost performance and that it offered something for each of my family. When the kids were younger, it was a great place to get in, eat, then get out before they melted down. Back then, I looked forward to some of the best fried chicken, trimmed sirloin steak, fluffy rolls, juicy meatloaf, seasonal fruit, awesome mashed potato, crispy catfish, for under 10 bucks. Instead, I got a freak show tonight and struggled to find anything I liked... and for $12.99?!! The hush puppies were more like cornmeal briquets, the steak had more gristle than palatable meat--we got 2 decent pieces out of 5, the chicken fried steak was horrific with mealy batter and gristly meat that was over seasoned, the chicken wings were soggy and over seasoned. The mashed potato tasted like the worst of the instant mix variety. The desserts were still too sweet, the meatloaf was mealy, the fried chicken looked like it was undercooked initially but was held long enough that the blood clots firmed up into purple patches. The pico de gallo tasted almost fermented. The best thing on the buffet tonight was the cantaloupe. We arrived before 6pm, so there was no rush. At least trim the sirloin steak instead of serving up gristle! I shall not post pictures in case they are censored for being too graphic... ;) I went to the men's bathroom to wash up and almost lost my already horrific dinner when the stench hit my nostrils--and I have endured some grody ones in SE Asia... Consider this a PSA--I implore you to take your $12.99 somewhere else... unless of course you are trying to lose a guy in 10 days... The inside of the restaurant is showing its age. The carpet is really nasty. The restrooms also need an upgrade. The food bars look clean. The food is consistent but a little bland. The hot food bar had the same offerings daily. The hot food is prepared properly but nothing to recommend. The salad bar looks clean and the offerings there are fresh. The dessert bar had a daily large selection. Most of the items are good. I was going regularly on Fridays for their breakfast bar. It nice to have a choice of different kinds of meats. The scrambled eggs look too be reconstituted but taste ok. Fresh con omelette with choice of ingredients is available. Pretty good for an all-you-can-eat buffet place. I paid 9.99 for anything I wanted and they had steak, salad, seafood, etc. I have never seen shrimp scampi before at an all-you-can-eat place. I have never seen Habanero popcorn shrimp either, but they have them here. I tried the guacamole, not something to write home about, but definitely a good selection for the price.
