I haven't been to this Togo's in a really long time. I think it's been through a couple of different owners and the last one left me feeling like I questioned the cleanliness. So I haven't been back for a while. But I recently tried it out again, a couple of weeks ago. There was one worker there. It was lunch rush. He did a great job. He was multitasking and trying to get everything done plus there were a couple of DoorDash orders that came in while he had a line and he was so patient and did a great job making sandwiches, so five stars. I've been there three times, it is still circling the drain. The first time the employee, one of two, was bashing an ex of his and nobody cared other than feeling awkward about what he was saying and, how long is this going to take and how soon can I leave with my food. The second time, many months later, the soda machine was still out of order, (no syrup because they had not paid rent (or whatever) on the soda dispenser machine. Was hoping I would miss an encounter with the young man whose misogynistic monologue was still going strong, yet, here he was. In Santa Cruz, the TOGO's was a pleasant experience, with food! Here in Jackson, it is kind of creepy and overpriced for what you get. As much as I craved the nostalgic experience of TOGO's, sadly, it was not to be had here. Oh, and the 3rd time I was there, I walked in and there was no one there, I waited, and waited, (I even walked behind the counter and took a peek in the back) no one was there! Arrived just in time to beat the lunch rush, so had a pretty good experience. The two employees were working their tails off and were trying to get everyone through as quickly as possible. Seemed to take about 7 minutes per customer if you want to do the math for a longer line. Sandwich turned out great even though the sourdough seemed a little chewy. This by far the worst Togos I have ever been in. It used to be great when it first opened, but it has steadily declined. Today I go in and there is only two people working. One is making sandwiches for customers in line and the other was moving around in the restaurant and looked to be working on the soda machine and cleaning up some trash. Took 15 minutes to get a sandwich after the second employee came back to help. The restaurant was filthy as the counters where you got your soda was covered in old soda and some of the tables were dirty. Usually when I come in, the soda area is covered in old soda and trash because no one has cleaned it in forever. ~$17 dollars for a 6" sandwich, drink, and chips. Paid cash and the worker stared at me like I was an idiot. I said, I am waiting for my change. And then the worker goes, you need to make a selection on the screen. I was like for what. Turns out even if you pay cash you are Required to select a tip amount. Well, for that, it is no tip and apparently that broke their system. Had to wait for the worker to enter all the same information all over again. This time my cash amount was entered and I was given my change like a standard cash transaction. When you start bugging your customers, only provide regular service, or make it very inconvenient to get stuff done, o tips will be coming your way or will there be returning customers. It took longer to get one regular sandwich than it does to go to Perko's and sit down for a meal. The last 2 times I ordered a sandwich with avocado they didn't put the avocado in it. I should have never said anything because this time I got the browned over ripe ick from the side of the container. It was so bad I threw the whole sandwich away! I love love live ToGos, but I sadly had to give them a 4 star rating this time around. They no longer serve my coveted #27 which gets a big booboo from me. They were kind enough to let the whole group of 8 of us in to order (6 indecisive kids). They were pretty quick at getting those sandwiches out once we got kids in line. The bread seemed a little dry today not sure if it was because of how long it had been sitting there due to lack of customers or what, but their bread is my main reason for coming here. It was crowded for a small town with an unusually long wait for sandwiches, but this Togo's ultimately satisfied our hunger for a massive sandwich made with fresh ingredients. Togo's is usually a step above so many other chain sandwich shops (looking at you, Subway) and this location was no exception. We were surprised to find a line five deep at 1 pm on a Saturday as there usually isn't a line for any place but the Starbucks in this shopping center. It moved slow because they looked understaffed. When we did get our sandwich ordered they cut no corners: generous portions of all the toppings. A little sloppy in both presentation and while eating, but ultimately worth it. My pro tip is that you cannot find a better chain sandwich than their turkey avocado. I think it's the #24. The avocado they serve is always fresh and tasty and pairs perfectly with the thin sliced turkey, tomatoes and pepperoncinis. read more

I got a 33 the triple dip sandwich, it was made fast and was very tasty. I will definitely be coming back to try more great sandwiches. I can't remember if this was the third or fourth time I walked in and stood there for four or five minutes before I gave up and walked out. I can hear them in the back. The cleanliness of this location is horrendous. The bar top is high so you can't really see over the top of it but once I did get close enough to look it was enough not to come back, and I was a weekly customer. However cleanliness is a huge deal and if I didn't also find a hair in my food I may have skipped this. The plastic cutting boards were caked with old vegetables, sauces, and gunk. The cutting boards looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in days. The girl put my bread down without a paper to at least protect it from the cutting board so the bottom of my bread came away with sauce I didn't want (at best, who knows what else). The cross contamination of vegetables amongst each other is appalling. Not a single container was clean and un contaminated. If you have food allergies I highly suggest skipping this place. Then while I stood there and ordered the girl ran out of lettuce so what does the boy with blonde curly hair do? Pours a new bag on top of the old already soggy wilted lettuce...instead of pulling the container out and replacing the entire thing which would take about 30 seconds of effort. To top off the whole experience their trash cans were full, like over flowing. so when they cut the end of the bread off they just made a massive pile of bread in the middle of the two sandwich making stations. You know what else was stacked up? ACTUAL TRASH on the counter top where they're handling food because no one wanted to take the time to take out the trash. They cut my sandwich with what looked like a knife that had been through 50 other sandwiches with left over food stuck on it. I pay for what I had built with the decision in mind that I probably wouldn't be back soon only to find a blonde hair in my food. There were two young ladies with dark hair in a neat bun and one boy with blond hair in a sloppy bun on top of his head so you do the math on where it came from. Over all I can't believe I paid 20$ for 2 sandwiches that came away dirty and smeared with food from the cutting board, a hair from a sloppy employee, and a nasty knife that ruined a portion of my sandwich. read more

Generally that's about every other week so we certainly aren't keeping anyone in business but are regulars. HaHa. The service,? it's always been slow as it seems the back room is very popular. On this day, Jan 2, we decided to drop by but, once we reached the front door were surprised to see NO employee except the cashier wearing a mask. I read the AD for this shop here in Yelp and it stats they wear them, then took to looking into the reviews and see another recent post here talking of this issue with a reply from togo's to address it but clearly it was not. We left that day without a purchase and will not go back sadly as I am a senior and Cannot put my self at risk for a sandwich and a careless manager. . This is only our second time there and the pastrami reuben was really good, though there's no rye bread there and the beef cheese sandwich they're featuring was good to, and the iced tea. He tried to make excuses for the guy who treated me rudely. He said he had 2 jobs and the other place worked him too many hours. There is no excuse for calling someone a retard. The owner said he would get back to me, however as of 10/20/21, he has not. Te restaurant is dirty and the staff is useless. There is never a manager on site and the franchisee is an absentee franchisee. Although Togo's is known for it's pastrami sandwiches this location served me the worst excuse for a pastrami sandwich I have ever tried to eat. When I finally complained by email. (there is no way to reach the franchisee by phone) I received an email apologizing and asked to come back and get a replacement sandwich. Today when I went back the person on staff said she couldn't find my name on her board and refused to make my replacement sandwich. She also said she couldn't call the owner because she would not be home yet (this is at 2:30pm). Needless to say I never received a replacement sandwich. Since this store opened, my husband and I visit regularly and have enjoyed fresh food and very friendly service. In the last year the service has struggled but today my simple salad was gross. BBQ chicken salad was served with disgusting greens ready for the compost and covered in bbq sauce with a cut up tomato and a little chicken, ranch on the side with bbq sauce on the container. The salad container wasn't even closed in the bag and sauce seeping out. I didn't want to order due to the workers not wearing masks while preparing food and their rudeness but my husband loves his Togo's fave, so I didn't complain.
