Pros: Both of the waitresses were very friendly and not at all bothersome. The Tofu Soup was some of the best i ever had! The Chinese portions are massive! The food quality seems very good. The restaurant has a clean look and feel to it (no jumbled messes, dirty floors, or things piled up in places). Cons: Bad parking, small American portions,and the bathroom was TINY! What a great find right on our door step in Post Falls. After moving here almost 3 years ago, and casually looking for that great Chinese restaurant, we have been disappointed. My wife is super sensitive to smells and cleanliness of eating establishments and why we were hesitant to try Golden Dragon. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the surrounding area lacks appeal (used car dealerships, auto parts stores, and thrift shops... welcome to Post Falls). We wanted a dine in experience, NOT buffet. The place was clean, organized, no obnoxious odors, but dated... down one star. The wait staff was super friendly and polite on our week day evening. The menu was expansive and if you couldn't find exactly what you wanted, they would customize a dish for you. We had Cashew Chicken and Mo Gu Gai Pan on fried rice along with egg rolls. Fabulous! The flavoring was perfect and the vegetables were all fresh. The dinner portions were more than we should have eaten.... but it was so good! We have since gone back on a Sunday noon and experienced a totally different staff but equally, if not somehow better. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Always a great sign when despite the rundown interior the parking lot is packed. I have been a customer since the 90's and had pregnancy cravings. My twins are 13 and it is their favorite place as well. House chow mien, almond or sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, egg flower soup and prawns are the bomb. I was so glad we found this little restaurant. It was very busy when we arrived, but we were seated right away. Our food came out fast, & hot. One of my favorite lunch places in Post Falls. I've tried a few different items on the menu but my favorite and go to option is selection "K" on the lunch special menu. It consists of Hot and Spicy Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. The Hot and Spicy is not too spicy unless you eat the Chinese peppers but it has a wonderful flavor with lots of fresh vegetables. Lunch comes w/ Hot Tea and Egg Drop soup which are both wonderful on a cold rainy or snowy day. Service is good and food presentation is well done. read more

Yummy! I missed the joys of their hot tea and fried prawns. I moved out of state for 6 years and now I'm back. Their food tastes even better than I remember. The spicy chicken lunch combo has become my favorite... It's not really spicy enough for me so I cut up the hot dried red peppers and mix those in. Fresh green peppers and onions are crisp and delicious. The sweetness of the breaded chicken really contrasts the spicy of the peppers. The Bbq pork fried rice is wonderful and balances the dish out. I don't get what the fuss is about. I had cashew chicken and it was drenched in soy sauce and wasn't good at all. I went there recently since I hadn't been there in over a year and I was reminded why. If you can stand to drive 10 more minutes, go to Wah Hing in Rathdrum. MUCH better there! read more

I've only ordered from this place for lunch but have done so many times. It is almost always take-out so I'm not really sure about the continued service throughout the meal .The food is average at best and the wait staff is good and friendly while handing me my take-out order. Typical American "Chinese food". If you are looking for some Chinese like you would find in San Francisco you won't find that here. You do get a lot of food but don't get your hopes up. Food has been getting better from a few years ago. Still have not released the keep a toilet nearby rule though. So proceed with caution. If you like inexpensive classic "American" Chinese food, this place is perfect. My brother and I both ordered a Number 3 combination dinner. BBQ pork, pork chow mein, fried almond chicken with yummy fried rice and a bowl of egg flower soup. Quick, too, and the server was very polite and nice. I gave it only four stars because I have had better chow mein and almond chicken in the Seattle area, but for the price and service, Golden Dragon was perfect for us. I tipped my server extra because of the quality of service but also because recently I found out how little servers make in Idaho (compared to Washington), so they really depend on tips. read more

We have been here several times before. I was never that impressed with it to be honest. But my wife liked it, at least until this last visit. The server was friendly and helpful. I ordered the beef, tomato dish. When we were finished we waited for 10-15 minutes before anyone would come and take our card. Our waitress had simply ignored us. But the other waitress who came saw that my dish was hardly touched, I told her it was mushy and went cold really quickly. She never offered to replace it or strike it from the bill. Instead she defended it. Anyway, she took our card and was gone for another 10 minutes. When she returned she apologized that the card machine was down. Now these things happen and we understood, although why they didn't tell us that sooner instead of just leaving us sitting there I don't know. she then asked for cash. We didn't carry cash. But here is the kicker, when we asked how best to pay it, she said there was an ATM nearby, but we said there will be a charge there (usually about $3.00) she never offered for the restaurant to pay the transaction fee. Then I offered to leave our credit card number so she could enter it later. She said no, because It would require a signature. I don't believe this is true. I process credit cards a lot in my work. I think she simply didn't want any extra merchant service charge to the card because of no signature. She instead said there was a bank a few blocks up the road and said "I guess I'll just have to trust you." (not in a joking way either.) So those were my choices, either walk to an ATM and get stuck with a fee or drive to a bank. So I ended up leaving my wife there as collateral. Driving to the bank and returning with cash for a meal that was mushy, with dry rice, tasteless beef in a restaurant that had not been cleaned in decades. read more

They were rude too. We live very close but would much rather drive to Spokane for Chinese food rather than go here! Take my advice, and don't go. Easily my favorite restaurant in the area. Virtually every time I'm ordering take out or dining in, the place is packed. This is because the food is always fresh and delicious and everyone knows it. Some of my personal favorites are the moo shu pork, beef and broccoli, and combination fried rice. Beyond the great food, they have a wonderful staff and everything is reasonably priced. This is my go to Chinese restaurant!! I have been going here for years and absolutely love it!! The waitresses aren't the most friendly but I won't take any stars for that because they have given me amazing food for years. I recommend eating in the restaurant because you get more food when you order than if you get take out. I have tried other chinese restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. Food is very hit and miss at best. We live in Post Falls and eat out often. Started going there about 2 years ago and in the past 6 months they have changed for the worse. The place needs a deep cleaning. The teapots are only cleaned once a day (not between customers) so about half the time there is food stuck to the outside of it. Watched a server sneeze into her hands and continue serving food to the customers without washing. We ordered BBQ pork and it was moldy-rotten, We will not ever go back. read more
