Chow mein was charred the chicken fried rice was charcoaled. Said screw it maybe sriracha will help but in the end just waisted sriracha. They need to maybe spend time cooking and not rush it.will not return and I hope you guys take it seriously. Ive been here before and ate in dinning room, today (12-28-13), We had a 90th bday party here for Grandpa in the sectioned off party room. 35 of us and very roomy and plenty of elbow room. Employees were friendly and gracious and very attentive. Hot tea, sodas, beer, wine and waters filled with no questions asked! Food was served at intervals and was hot and delish!! We had pork fried rice, white rice, cashew chicken, broccoli beef, mongolian chicken, sweet n sour pork, veggie shrimp, chow mein (nice thick noodles), won ton soup and spring rolls & shrimp tempura and fried chicken wings as our appetizers. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful! My favorite was the sweet n sour pork! Plenty of food for our large family party. They let us bring our own cake in for dessert. Clean & tidy restrooms. Just ordered takeout - general chicken and broccoli. Got home to find my bag absolutely flooded with sauce which somehow did not leak all over my car. Apparently they filled the box up upside down, realized their mistake, tipped the whole thing over and put it in the bag "correctly." The entire box is flooded and dripping with general chicken sauce. Then, the food itself is about as bland as a shoe. The veggies taste fresh and great, but literally everything else is so tasteless I seriously got scares thinking I got COVID. Not even kidding--it is THAT bland. For a $13 plate this is ridiculous. Have been here many times over the years and have never been impressed, but this is by far the worst excuse for Chinese I've ever had. Won't be returning and certainly don't recommend. read more

Used to love their food, but it's declined in taste and quality. Have tried to get their takeout a few times in the last few months. This was the last time we will eat here. There was only 2 people in the restaurant when I picked up my food, so they were not busy at all. Food was chewy and old, asked for extra sauce, there was none. So lemon chicken was chewy and dry without enough sauce Rice tasted burnt. Pot stickers were crunchy. Literally a complete waste of $34. Completely disappointed for the last time. We dined here several years ago, and recorded today after shopping in the big city. (We live in way out in the country) It was much better now. The hot and sour soup was so good on this cold rainy day, we ordered a quart to take home. Food was hot and delicious. The couple running the place are welcoming and friendly. First things first, if i could give this place negative stars i would, the place is a complete trash pit, one bite and i threw the all my food away as the flavor and texture and look of the food was complete crap. I ordered shrimp chow mein, but i guess i should have ordered boneless shrimp cause i found a bone in my chow mein, taste was trash and noodles fell apart the moment you touched them, the orange chicken was complete trash as well, if i wanted wanted fried oranges i would have ordered that, dug around the plate and found only a couple pieces of actual chicken. The Golden Dragon is a hidden gem. We stopped in on Easter while traveling. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Now for the good stuff. We had the mongolian beef and cherry chicken lunch plates with chow mein. First, came the hot and sour soup. Very flavorful. It was not flamethrower spicy but it had just enough spice. The pork chow mein had noodles with more body than usual and a good texture. The BBQ pork was in nice sized pieces so you KNEW it was BBQ pork. The cherry chicken which I have never seen, was similar to sweet and sour, but different. It was very good. The mongolian beef was DELICIOUS! Lots of beef, well seasoned. The portions were VERY generous and especially in today's inflationary times, inexpensive. this place will not hurt your pocketbook. Service was quick and friendly. read more

We were coming from Strawberry after playing in the snow and stopped off in Placerville where we stumbled on a Chinese Restaurant in a little strip mall. We decided to eat here since the Thai Restaurant was closed for another hour. That would have been my first choice of places to eat. The food is Chinese American as you can guess and they don't give you chopsticks unless you ask, otherwise it's forks. I don't think too many Asians come out to Placerville especially to eat at a Chinese Restaurant. The food is not great but I don't think the regular diners much know the difference between authentic Chinese food and Chinese American food. The Tsing Tao beer was cold though. read more

Not a likely prospect, but we generally trust that an Asian meal will be passable in any strange town., and our hotel clerk recommended this place. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Ordered a dinner plate that came with soup, egg roll, fried rice, chow mein and general chicken. Also got moo shu pork. I love hot and sour soup and this soup was really good! Nice and spicy. This made me excited for the meal. The food arrives and my husband and I dig in. Why was everything sweet? The General chicken was marked spicy which is why we ordered it. Even after dumping a good amount of chili oil on it, still sweet. The moo shu pork was really chewy and the 4 pancakes came ripped. We only get our Chinese takeout from Golden Dragon. They make amazing food! I'm a picky eater, and I have a hard time with most chicken dishes from Chinese places, but not here. The orange chicken is all white meat -- and that's what we get. We also love the chow mien, steamed & fried rices, and sesame chicken. The community in this area rocks. One day my son & I waited for my husband to grab our Chinese. When he came to the car, he said that a couple teens ordered 30 cream cheese crab ragoons/wantons (forgive my spelling) and wouldn't pay for them. After the teens left, my husband & another patron offered to split the order & cost so that the owner wouldn't lose the sale. I'm not a huge fan of crab, but the fried shells in the sweet & sour sauce was amazing! That's how much we love this place. Give it a try if you haven't. You won't be disappointed. read more

The food looks good, but something is very wrong you will be in plenty of pain and feel like it is swelling in tummy. Shame on you. You eat once dont dare go again. Fried Won Ton almost empty with hardly no filling. There concern is a big rush to get you to leave and it is the first thing you hear. What did they do to the food it is posion. We were just visiting Placerville and stopped by for dinner because of good YELP reviews. We were surprised at how delicious the food was. The famous potstickers were a highlight. We only stayed in Placerville for three days while traveling around and did not come across many good restaurants in the area so this was a surprise. I ordered hot and sour soup, wonton soup, chicken and fried rice. Total price was $30 (w a tip). Hubby and I had dinner, and then lunch and dinner the following day!
