The workers are very friendly, the store as clean, and the food came out in around 15 minutes so not too long of a wait. We ordered the spicy rice cakes, and the half order of soy garlic wings both 10/10 delicious! The food was fresh and hot, the rice cakes were perfectly seasoned and the radish pairs very well with the fried chicken. We also got a mango and strawberry smoothie, they were a bit sweet so I wouldn't order again. So overall, I would come back for the food but would probably get drinks somewhere else! read more

I've given this place a few chances because I really wanted to like it, but this last experience was disappointing enough to finally leave a review. I ordered the Bibimbap, and unfortunately, it did not resemble traditional bibimbap. The dish was missing essential components like bean sprouts and, most importantly, Gochujang sauce. No sauce or condiments were provided at all, which left the rice and vegetables extremely dry. The vegetable preparation was also off. Instead of the typical thin, julienned vegetables that give bibimbap its signature texture, the cabbage was chopped into small pieces like diced onion. Even the pickled radish was chopped rather than julienned. Bibimbap is known for its neatly arranged, string-like vegetables -- this felt thrown together rather than thoughtfully prepared. I understand restaurants can put their own spin on dishes, but when key elements are missing and the fundamentals aren't there, it shouldn't be labeled as bibimbap. I've been wanting to come in and check out the menu here for quite some time. Finally got a chance to try on a quiet Wednesday evening. The inside has a nice vibe, open and clean. I ordered the soy sauce and garlic chicken plus kimchi. I did the combo drum/wing which came with 4 wings and 3 drums. I'll admit- I made pre-judgement that the $20 price tag seemed steep... until my order arrived. The drums were huge and I really liked the flavor. The chicken was nice and juicy with a perfect crunch on the outside. I also appreciated the shaved garlic. I'll definitely be back to try some other menu items. The kimchi didn't hit for me, but just because I didn't prefer the flavor profile. It's not something I'd order again for that reason, but was by no means bad. I stopped by this place on a Friday night right before closing, and they still welcomed us in -- super nice of them! I ordered the Chicken Udon and a Thai Iced Tea, while my husband got the Bulgogi. The Thai Iced Tea was a bit too sweet for me (so sweet I couldn't finish it), but the food definitely made up for it. The Chicken Udon was good, though it could've used a little more flavor. I first came in on a recommendation of a neighbor, just went to the area. Overall, I was actually impressed with all of the side dishes and the new menu items. Including the kimchi fried rice, seven out of five, and the japchae seven out of five. I loved all the Bachman, although you do have to pay for it it is a large amount. There was a tiger, cucumber, refreshing, radish, nice, and sweet and sour, and the kimchi. The Bachman is either four dollars or seven dollars The haraboji (grandma) served us very well, gave us fresh steamed rice on the house. I think that this place does not need to be a takeout spot. Stopped by with my husband and we were so pleasantly surprised. The place is super clean, really cute inside, and actually has space which makes it perfect whether you're doing a casual date night or having a bigger group. We ordered the tteokbokki, wings and drumsticks (jalapeño flavor), and the spicy pork combo plate. Quick water shoutout because yes, I care. It was ICE cold (not lukewarm like some Korean spots), and the dispensers super adorable. Looked like they were up cycled or something random detail, but I appreciated it. The chicken crispy, sticky, flavorful. I got the jalapeño flavor and it had that perfect sweet-heat-umami combo. Only downside: I could only pick one flavor. I wanted, like, three. It gave Bonchon energy, but more local and more chill. Spicy pork combo was so good. The meat was super tender, the rice tasted fresh, and the sides were on point especially the chewy rice cake. I asked for a little hot sauce on the side and it tied everything together. The vibe is friendly and it feels like a family-run place. Upon entering we were met with a friendly server who steared us immediately over to a self kiosk where we put our oder in as as follows: fried chicken half order with fries. There is a very large box for Special Instructions which we put the words: Fries crispy. Our fries came out before our chicken and were barely done, doesn't matter we are here for the crispy chicken. The fried chicken was battered and fried with a slight spiciness to the batter. It wasnt over greasy but it was unevenly cooked. My wings were juicy and tender but my drums were tough and dark brown and varied in texture from tough to chewy. Korean fried chicken, a true delicacy when prepared properly, has hit the fast-food market and become bland. The food comes fast, but that's because it's not cooked to order, and the meat is hard and tough. The skin is fairly crispy, though. They offer lots of sauces, to dress up the bland chicken, I guess, but I didn't want those all over my hands, so I got the plain original, a rather sorry thing. Came here today to try the food that I seen on yelp last night. The food was good and the chicken was decent. It was my first time and I asked the friendly lady at the register which was popular and she steered me in the right direction. She insisted I try the thin beef plate and jalapeño chicken. The beef plate was very good and was a big enough portion, I didn't realize after ordering the chicken which was the half order they were big pieces especially the drum sticks. Only thing I could suggest to make that chicken better is to make it a bit more crispier and more sauce. The price is a bit steep also, I ended up paying over $55 for two items on the menu and it does take a while for the chicken to cook since it has to be fried fresh while you wait. Good job everyone. For lunch you can order a lunch size (bowl) or full size (includes Kim Chee). I tried their Bul Go Gi bowl. It was definitely good and just enough for me. All my coworkers liked their food as well. This place is a semi-restaurant. You order from a counter, but they bring your food to your table. They also bus your table when your done. Oddly, everyone got their food at different times. Craving Korean food after binge watching a bunch of Korean shows on Netflix, we decided to take a trip to Tracy to check out this spot and it did not disappoint. It's a casual order at the counter setup before you sit down. The service was friendly and attentive, and the place, though small with just about 7 tables inside, felt cozy and clean. We were served cold, filtered water with ice something simple but appreciated. My go to is always the spicy pork combo plate, and it was packed with flavor and served in a generous portion. My lady ordered the extra spicy tteokbokki and the jalapeño chicken both dishes were absolutely delicious with just the right amount of kick. For the price, you get great portions and bold flavors. I haven't written a review for at least 6 years, for this place I feel I have to leave one review 2 days ago my brother and I tried their food because of our passion for fried chicken, before we even tried their chicken I already promised myself I wouldn't go back there again when I found out they dont even offer customers the water which serves everywhere in the restaurants specially serving Korean food. Everything on the menu is outrageously pricey specially they dont have ambience customers would expect for paying what they charge We ordered Half Original and Half Seadoning full size chicken, it turned out just 12 or 14 pieces chicken, they tasted good but not $35.99 good, we also tried their udon and spicy rice cake, everything was served with disposal containers, more of fast food restaurant style but not with fast food restaurant price. I wanted to try their kimchi but I didnt feel like buying it when all other Korean restaurants I went served it to customers as basic complimentary food. I wish them luck for maintaining their business long, but for my brother and I it was the first and also the last visit. Passed by this spot a few times and finally got to try it out for dinner back in July. Since we were nearby we decided to get dinner to-go. Parking lot is shared with other business and its small and it gets full during peak time. This place offer some Korean fried chicken and also combo plates too. We opted to get the bulgogi combo and chicken combo. Their combo plates come with japhae, kimichi, fish cakes, rice and protein. I usually don't like kimichi but decided to give it taste. It was pretty good. I actually tried and liked everything on the combo plate. Overall, food was tasty and delicious. Staff here was friendly and helpful. The lady helping us insisted that we can place an order with her but we were still unsure on what to order so we wanted to use the kiosk so that we can see pictures of the food. This place is very clean! Really welcoming atmosphere. They even have an ordering kiosk so if you're an introvert, you're in luck! The lady who works there is very nice and soft-spoken. The prices are a little high but it's well worth it for the great quality of food they offer and their large portion sizes. Fried chicken is always crunchy and tender at the same time. Ttobongee tops the Korean fried chicken scene in Tracy. Actually, It's the only KFC scene in town. Within the past year, I've sampled most of their chicken and other menu items. I can see why they get good ratings. So much flavor with the Soy Garlic chicken and the sticky Yang Nyum chicken. Served piping hot and with rice, it was like having mouth Pilates with these savory drumsticks. I also appreciate the light batter on these, just like on the original TtoBongee chicken. My absolute favorite here is The Crispy. Big fan of the crunch ...and the punch. These drums hit you with a little spice, and it's addicting. Among all the flavors I bring to gatherings, the Crispy finishes first. Other items I devoured here are their Fried Dumplings and their Galbi short ribs and Bulgogi combos. Their Japchae pairs perfectly with any of their chicken. I miss those earlier days when fries were complimentary with any chicken order. Those fries were fire! Then they offered comp shrimp chips at one point with a chicken order. The ladies there were so sweet, they gave me a sample of Kimchee during a few visits too. We used to come almost every other Friday and were greeted by a nice young lady and got used to us being there that we were their "usuals". We would usually get the pork belly and galbi plates. We haven't gotten to visit this place during the holidays, but when we got back we were shocked that they changed management. Everything was overpriced! Like $32 for a galbi plate with little meat to offer?! $32 dollars can get me an AYCE KBBQ restaurant with that price. On top of that, they don't sell pork belly. I decided to try the 8 piece wing. We also ordered fries and a side of white rice. The food came out hot and pretty quick but separate not all at once as we would have liked. The whole chicken was pretty good, fries nice and hot. Small rice was small and way over priced. The wings were large.
