This is a hot plate to go location, right off of I five and Louise in a strip mall. Since we're trying all the Chinese and Mexican food, restaurants in the area, this was next on the list. It was cold and raining so we decided to order 2 3-item combos. The place is crazy cheap and the portions are insane. We had so much food that we had it for lunch and dinner, lunch again the next day and still had a lot left over that we could eat. Next time I'm ordering only one three item combo for the three of us. At less than 12 bucks for the three item combo of piled food, this is the definition of cheap eats. This is American Chinese food and well seasoned. The fried fish is over breaded, will avoid that again. i'd give it 2 1/2 stars for the food and bump it up to three stars because Service is great. Girl at the counter was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Food is delicious & the service is great. Food is cooked fresh and the price is worth it. There is always a line of people. This is my go to Chinese food spot!

Nasty and extremely dry. Not an ounce of veggies even though it says veggie chow mein.

Disgusting! Nastiest food hands down. I don't leave much negative reviews but this is dry nasty and not worth it one bit.

One of the best hole in the walls spot for Chinese in lathrop. Customer service was great. Offered variations of food in order to accommodate a certain diet. Food came out hit and tasty. They filled up their combo plates with a ton of food. So worth the value since the prices are lower than expected. Definitely was great overall and I strongly recommend

Food is 100% every time with generous portions. The salt and pepper fish is my FAVORITE. Crispy breading, cooked all the way through and it's has just a little bit of heat since it's tossed with jalapeno slices Service is top notch! I get the same young lady every time and she is fantastic.

The service is good specially the service the lady is so nice and she is very helpful, I also love the ambiance, I really love their food!!!!

This place is located in the plaza where Save-Mart is and is right next door to Starbucks. The place is a bit dreary with the old fashioned menu board. I came here to pick up the party trays that I ordered ahead of time. They just opened so there's food coming out fresh from the kitchen to start their busy day. There were already a few customers inside waiting to get served and at the time the lady who runs the front was already busy. I finally got my party tray orders of Walnut Shrimp and Beef Broccoli. They came out hot and fresh and full to the brim. I like that their servings was very generous. Walnut Shrimp wasn't drenched in it's sweet sauce so it was not overwhelmingly sweet when you're eating it. It has the crunch and the sauce balances it enough. The batter though can be a bit on a thicker side so it kind of hard to tell where the actual shrimp pieces are. There were no walnuts in this dish, it's mainly shrimp and sauce only. Beef Broccoli was also flavorful and the sauce was somewhat sweet with a bit of saltiness in them. It has a lot of big broccoli pieces that were cooked just right with it's crispiness still there as you bit and chew every piece. I also loved that it has big pieces of meat in them as some beef broccoli dish sometimes consists of tiny, barely there meat. It is family owned and run with friendly and welcoming attitude. Inexpensive food yet you get huge portions and good food. I like that this is close by so I have this option whenever I crave for Chinese food.

Soo good! Great portions, definitely affordable.

Great food, great service, felt authentic. Great service, quick. Had fresh orange chicken made. Didn't take long at all. Got the three meat plate orange chicken, mushroom chicken, pepper fish with chow mein. Chow mein is great skinny noodles with a lot of flavor.

    Not much flavor

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

Wowwwwzaaa! Was craving Thai food and gave this little unknown place a try. Never knew this place…read moreeven existed. The restaurant is in a little old school strip mall, supperrrr tiny but don't let that deceive you. Inside was packed and there was a line outside too. Ordered to-go and they said 20 mins but it was more like almost 30-40 min. Truly worth the wait though. Will definitely be coming back to this spot! Also, got a peek in the kitchen and the cooks looked authentic and Thai? That's why it's so yummy! lol.

For me this place is a 3/5. I ordered the general chicken and orange chicken. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I came maybe about 10 min later. Got the food and tasted it soon after I got to my car. Orange chicken lacking in that orange pop. General chicken lacking in overall flavor. What was the most unforgivable though was the soggy chicken. Eating at its optimal level would be eating it fresh at the table at the restaurant. Next best thing would be in the car as soon as you got it. But it's a to-go restaurant to realistically your eating it at home after it's traveled for however many minutes. As expected when I got home it was soggy. But it was already as soggy as possible to begin with. Why is this place a 4/5 I have no idea. Maybe since I came during off peak hours so they foods just sitting around and there's no fresh food turnover? No idea. Maybe I'll give them another chance one day but who knows. Also factor in that they don't have rice plates and the cost of pure entrees alone and that's a negative for me. I didn't know how lacking Chinese food was in Manteca because I was spoiled by the old Kitty's Kitchen. Nothing compares in the area.

Went with family and even though I was hesitant and outvoted from going to the Vietnamese place…read morenext-door, we actually had a great dinner. Food was so much better this time around than the last time I had been there. They really must've had a bad night when I had gone previously. Small restaurant in the of a little strip mall off of Main Street. They serve classic Chinese American food and unlike most places in the Bay Area that are family style dishes preferably on a Lazy Susan during dinner time. They offer rice plates, or combo plates for individuals, similar to lunch specials. I selected several dishes and asked the server which was the most popular amongst the dishes I chose, and she let me know the salt and pepper fish, which I got with chow mein. We also ordered shrimp & broccoli, and sweet-and-sour pork. Everything appeared made to order and looked very fresh. From grandma to the babes everyone was happy with their food. Mine was more on the plain Jane with just fried fish, luckily it came with sliced jalapeños to give it a kick. Next time I'll order a spicy eggplant dish. This is a good place to go to if you're with a group of picky eaters. Price is very reasonable, especially for dinner.

7/5 /25 Update 3/5 This has been a long time coming…read moreunfortunately. Ever since the previous owners sold the place the quality has dropped significantly. Consistency has been a major issue not only with food but with policy. When they first took over I'm sure there were some learning curves and maybe tweaks to the recipes. I wanted to give them a fair shot to get things right. Not sure if the old cooks stayed or if they got new ones? Did the new owners have the recipes changed? Did they change suppliers of ingredients, etc, I just don't know. What I can tell you though is that at least some of the dishes are different and are off from what I remember. The general Tao sauce I thought tasted different but necessarily bad. But combine that with a definite lack of crisp/crunch with the fried items and that's gonna be a problem for me. This time around, I only got the general tao beef because unlike my previous visit, they did not allow me to order the general tao beef in the combo plate as in upcharge (just last week or the week before it was allowed). I've been multiple times since the change in ownership. Partly because of the convenience of the location and partly because of the hope that whatever meal I eat at any given time will at least satisfy my fix for their type of Chinese American food. Unfortunately, the fried items I loved so much like orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and general tao beef alike are all severely lacking the crunch from the fry. As of late I've been getting the General Tao Beef to track consistency and it's been consistently under cooked in terms of the batter. The beef itself has been rubbery and to the point where I can't even break apart a piece and end up having to eat it whole lots of times. The other problem is that the pieces are large inconsistently cut (sometimes with, sometimes against the grain) strips making for a difficult chew. And because of the lack of crunch the fried battered outside just falls apart when you bite or try to cut it apart. The last two visits, but especially this one considering I ordered extra crunchy, were severely undercooked and soggy. it was to the point this time where I basically had to scrape off the majority of the batter and just eat the rubbery beef inside. It really does bring me pain to drastically drop the rating of a place that I once loved. I hope one day they can make the fixes so that I can continue to enjoy their food once again. I gave them a 3/5 but honestly, it probably should have been 2/5. I think the chicken with hot garlic sauce might be just good enough to keep it at 3/5 even though the last three times I ordered it. It was inconsistently hot (with cold spots) temperature wise.
