Beef mei fun was good and not too greasy at the bottom of the container, which is great for a noodle stir-fry like lunch. The Food was fresh light airy not salty & very well prepared. The driver and delivery person was friendly & personable he provided Excellent customer service. I really enjoyed my first time ordering from this restaurant. I look forward to ordering from them again- we ordered a number of items soup. The Wonton soup was delicious. it was not salty. The scallion pancakes were not greasy, They were flaky and wonderful - please know that if you order the shrimp and broccoli combination - you will receive jumbo shrimp so you're only going get about five or six but they are massive meaty and delicious enjoy. This is our go to spot for "fake/ghetto" Chinese food! Our tests are always the chicken wings, egg roll, hot & sour soup, french fries, and OH there rib tips is on point! A rare occurrence for a Chinese takeout on a Monday night at a not so busy hour; I called in advance so that my food would be ready when I arrived. Just one appetizer and one entree. When I got here the woman who was running around screaming and harried, as if there weren't just two customers and three total orders in the works, asked me if I was the one who called and proceeded to START my order. Just a bit disappointing. I hope the food is better than the inefficiency of the kitchen. I ordered fried wontons and ten ingredients pan fried noodles (an old favorite). The wontons were crispy and fresh, and the ten ingredients pan fried noodles, which are sometimes hard to pack for takeout, were nicely prepared and I enjoyed my old fave. I will probably return to this place. Hopefully the next time I call, my food will be prepared in advance. read more

Love their food and I go there often. Try it ! My favorites are the Chicken and Broccoli. Pork fried Rice and fried cheese wantons. Yum.

I grew up for a big chunk of my life on the north shore and my 1 go-to chinese spot was in Port Washington, where literally they knew my voice, they knew my taste and I could never go wrong. When I was moving from there, that was a dilemma in the back of my head, moving my relationship to another chinese spot. Even though after a few misses, i found my spot I can call my 2nd home. Even though the relationship is building, this place truly has some amazing food that satisfies me to return for more. I love their hot n sour soups, general tso's chicken, and of course their curry chicken with onion. Their food has been on point especially the general tso's chicken, which is crispy yet not rubbery on the inside. Their service is fine and I have yet to try their delivery service. read more

I moved to east Meadow from floral park like a year ago and I literally have not been able to find good Chinese food in this area. I've bought food from at least 3 different places before golden garden with 2 being just meh and 1 being so gross I threw it in the trash. I was so close to giving up on Chinese food in East Meadow thinking maybe the people of East Meadow just don't know good chinese food and this is what all Chinese restaurants are catering to. I also don't believe in paying $15-$20 for food that's way cheaper but taste the same exact way for $5 less. Aka I'm not one to go to PF Changs for sesame chicken, I'd rather go to Janis or a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, le sigh bc I have no Janis by me and therefor that quest in East Meadow for good Chinese food was born. After multiple restaurant fails, I decided to try try again and ordered from golden garden. The food is always fresh and they always deliver faster than the delivery time estimated on GrubHub. The sesame chicken isn't chewy or fatty like I've had from some restaurants, instead you can tell it's white meat chicken. You don't get a chunk of fried sauces up bread, you actually get chicken in your food. The rice is flavorful and not white rice speckled with a few veggies claiming to be fried rice. All in all, food I expect when I order from a Chinese restaurant. My thing is, if Chinese food or pizza is bad in NY then you're at an anomaly of a restaurant for NY standards. If there is one thing that has been true for as long as I've lived in NY (which is all my life) you should always be able to get good Chinese food, good pizza and a good bagel...we just do these things, NY is good for that. So, if you're in the east Meadow area and want Chinese food, get golden garden. Trust me when I say everywhere else sucks, even the huge Chinese restaurant that seems to always be packed...suckfest of flavors going on there, or lack thereof on flavors. read more

I ordered from this restaurant on Seamless on many (8+) occasions and never had an issue until now. Being a creature of habit, I have always ordered the Broccoli Combination Platter with Beef. Unfortunately, the restaurant hasn't listed beef as an option in the Broccoli Combination Platter in the app, but knowing they are completely capable of making the substitution, I always select the Shrimp, and just type in that I'd like beef instead. This has never once been a problem or has never once been questioned until now. Shrimp with Broccoli (outside of the combination platter) is regularly priced at $5.95 and Beef with Broccoli is priced at $5.75, so one would assume it to be pretty cut and dry and not an issue as it has been all 8+ times I have ordered from this restaurant. I got a call about my order about five minutes after placing it and the lady at the restaurant told me that Beef with Broccoli and Shrimp with Broccoli are not the same price, which I knew. But then she told me the beef would be a dollar more. I tried to reason with her and point out the intuitive nature of why I selected shrimp instead of chicken - because there was no beef choice in the app and the shrimp was more expensive than the beef, but the chicken was cheaper - but she wasn't seeing reason and continued to insist. I'm not one to argue about a dollar, but I'm also not one to carry cash, and no way in hell was I going out to an ATM to get a dollar for my delivery. So being that I didn't actually want Shrimp with Broccoli and I just used it as a $7.75 placeholder for my Beef with Broccoli, I asked her to change my order to the $7.75 Sesame Chicken Combination Platter. She said the Sesame Chicken would be a dollar extra as well. I told her to cancel my order, and all of a sudden, my order was already prepared, packaged, and in a car on the way to me. Convenient. A whole 50 minutes before the restaurant's original estimate! Naturally, I called Seamless to cancel the order for me. Their procedure is to try to resolve the issue with the restaurant before doing so, and the customer service representative told me that the restaurant was completely unreasonable with her as well. So I got my money back, and I happily spent it elsewhere at Great Wall, which was fabulous! Golden Garden was the only Chinese restaurant I have ordered from since I moved here a year ago (creature of habit, and convenience - not because it was so fabulous), but that will definitely not be the case ever again. Any business that finds fighting for a dollar more meaningful than being reasonable to a loyal customer is no business I will have any part in supporting. read more

I moved to East Meadow about 1 and half years ago. I tried all the Chinese spots around here. MOST OF THEM are the same. Super sweet and bland. This is the BEST in East Meadow. Even though its fast food Chinese food, its the BEST fast food Chinese food around here. read more
