There were two people working the bar and they were extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We are from Texas and as soon as I open my mouth, you can see the "look" on their face. We both were very glad we went. My wife ordered the California burger and I ordered the mushroom and swiss cheese with the addition of sauteed onions and bacon. My burger was absolutely delicious. My wife really enjoyed hers, but mentioned she wished she had ordered it medium. The fries were obviously hand-cut and I assume on the premises...hot and delicious. Don't worry about plenty of ketchup. The bar had several, very large bottles of Heinz ketchup within easy reach. Plenty of rolls of paper towels. We ordered two Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy drafts; nice and cold. They use a very unique pint glass with a hole and magnet in the bottom. I love this place! The restaurant is bright and cheerful, the staff is friendly and very helpful, and the food is delicious. I've had the food here many times, both in-house and to go. I usually order the Happy Season meal as I absolutely love Szechuan but anything I've tried has been very good. One of my favorite things about the Golden Inn is that the vegetables are cooked to a nice and crunchy texture, not soggy and overcooked as they are at some restaurants. Definitely a great place to stop in for a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. read more
