We was not offered the menu so we grabbed the food from dim sum carts . The food was freshly prepared & piping hot but the selections were limited . I went here a few times actually. I have an awful shrimp allergy, but it's the only thing I will order!!! The shrimp crepes are sooo good, how do they cook the shrimp so well?! I obviously went here for Dim Sum. Their chicken's feet were very very tasty, my mom, who's a picky eater, LOVED it! I was soooo full, we were a party of 4, and still had left overs. The duck was soooo good, the skin was ultra crispy and so flavorful. It's actually hard to find a nice Dim Sum place, this place was packed when we got here. If you big Amelican man, you have hard time squeezing in to small, clamped aleas! Okay, seriously, I'm a tiny 5"2 asian girl and I had a hard time cramming myself in between the tables, this place was super cramped. So be wary! The service is Chinese, so don't expect the best service in the world! It's a different culture, they don't work for or expect tips like in American culture, so they can be rude to you. I decided to stop in for some take out last week. I ordered the roast pork, marinated chicken, and a chicken fried rice. The chicken was adequate and the pork seemed to have been sitting for quite a while, it tasted stale. The fried rice has a distinct flavor of charcoal or burnt, it was completely inedible. Was in desperate need of Chinese food for lunch one day and I tried Golden Joy. Ordered sesame chicken, steamed rice and hot and sour soup from the lunch menu. Based on the reviews, I expected better food. Maybe the dim sum is good but the entree was pretty "blech". The chicken was rubbery and impossible to eat. I was afraid it was undercooked so stuck to plain white rice. The waiter brought egg drop soup instead of hot and sour. Not so good. Returned to work sad and still hungry. read more

This is my second time giving this place a try. Seems like every thing is still the same even the food. Nothing has changed since the last time I came.The dim sum selection is wide here, however I find that most of their dumplings and dim sum dishes seems to be very dried out and a bit more bland than other dim sum places. Every thing is okay to eat, but not where it would satisfy my cravings for dim sum. It's definitely not something I will go out of my way to come here. Came here for some New Years Day dim sum. I would say not too bad. Servers were definitely good sales people. Continuing to put foot items in your table as if you wanted it. Servers were very attentive. They usually brought items we wanted or asked for, along with continuing to keep our drinks filled. No particular item wow'd me. This place is freaking delicious. Came here with the kids months ago. They are fast and have everything you would find at the bigger dim sum joints in town. If you want to dine in peace without the big crowds. This is the place. I love it. Ahh dishes are so flavorful. Came here on a Saturday at 1 pm for dim sum and the restaurant was half empty. I should have known there was something wrong. If you went to Kirin Court at this time, you would be waiting for a table for at least twenty minutes. I had one piece of shu mai, and there were fish bones in there... I'm not an expert when it comes to dim sum by any means, but I'm pretty sure there aren't supposed to be any in a PORK & SHRIMP dumpling. All of the food we got was cold. I'm sorry to say, but the staff is annoying here. The ladies pushing the carts around want you to order more and will literally put dishes on your table that you don't want. You have to be adamant about saying no, or they will leave it there & charge you for it. This was a very horrible experience. read more

As most Asian restaurants, service was lacking. Tables were gross and sticky (and it was 4pm (early dinner bc of our schedules) and no one else was there. We had dim sum which was not bad at all--the roast duck was delish and fatty! Actually some of the better duck I've had in away for that price. Ordered the Seafood combo from the Lunch menu (one of the most expensive items at $6.25). Came with several large shrimp, a couple of large scallops, some squid, etc. Wow, it tasted great, and I felt $6 has quite the bargain. Also came with soup and rice. Hot and sour soup wasn't very hot, but I added some of the hot chili sauce and it tasted great after that. There were about 15 tables full when I was there. The dim sum is OK. What makes it more satisfying is the 10% discount offered Monday to Friday. Dim sum is not cheap and not something you have for an everyday lunch. Tip: we ordered a small plate of roast duck. It was tasty, but the pieces we got were all bones and skin; there was no meat. I like their dim sim, especially their chicken feet. The dish may sound gross to a lot of my westerner friends, but for authentic Chinese, this dish is heavenly good!! I also like their roasted pig. The meat is so tender and the skin is so crispy. My mom loves this one the best. My son loves their BBQ pork. Sweet, tender and delicious. There are simply too many good dishes to mention. Usually, the service at the Chinese restaurants is so-so. But these waitresses and waiter (only one) are super friendly. One of my favorite top 10 places to go. Really good Chinese food, super fresh and plenty to eat. Their Dimsum served all day is the perfect place to get your fix. You can order off the Dimsum menu and get exactly what you want. They have the traditional dumplings and some inventive ones, like the pork football. Watch the chairs they are a little rickety. I feel bad for the pet fish in the entry though. They don't understand the concept of filling the tank up with water. read more

This place just open and has a lot to offer. There are plenty of tables and I loved the display with the ducks and chicken, very Chinese! They even have chicken feet for $4.95 a pound, Can't have too much chicken feet!!!!! The menu is huge and prices are okay, not cheap but, not too high. If you are ordering soup, get the small, the medium was too big for one person. I got the Seafood Hot and Sour soup. I liked the fact that they served it in a large bowl with a ladle, it makes sharing easier. The first few tastes of the soup was fairly bland but the spices did start to kick in shortly. I was disappointed in the amount of seafood in it as I could only find a pieces of shrimp cut up and 1 small scallop. That sounds rather negative but overall it was a quality dish. There were just a few other customers in the place but all of there enrtrees looked great. I will definetly go back and try some of their other dishes. I'd give them 3 1/2 stars if I could. Unimpressed. Food was not good. It was less than average. My mil was in town so we wanted to try something new & were hoping it was good since she's from NY. We were so disappointed. They recommended the Big Crab over rice & the crab was not fresh. For a dish that's almost $50, we'd expect it to be fresh & NOT a frozen crab. The oysters were also not fresh. The chicken was dry. The Salt & Pepper squid was bland. Not to mention it was 30 degrees outside & they obviously don't turn on the heat bc the restaurant was freezing. I am very disappointed that the food is not good here. We came here bc of some good reviews and thought we try it. After waiting in line for a hostess for over 20 minutes, a guest told us to find our own table because no one will come seat us. Hmm . I thought he worked there but he didn't. We went for dim sum and the first 2 things (siu mai and meatballs) we ordered was bland and chewy. It was bad but the place crowded so we tried another dish (beef/shrimp noodle roll). It is as again bland and not quality stuff. So our whole family decided to cut our losses and leave for a different restaurant. Not to mention, the service was horrible and inexistent. First time to try this place ,we ordered a variety of dimsum from shrimp dumplings to taro puff, steamed bun , bean curd rolls etc. None stands out. Each one lacking in taste.
